Title: Finding Out What's to Come
Description: Beauty/Beyond Graduation!

The brownrider stood at the front of the formal hall, dressed in what he believed was his best clothing. He sighed a bit as he glanced over the weyrlings standing before him, ready for their new lives waiting for them. So much had changed since the young dragons had hatched, and sometimes the brownrider wondered if it was all for the greater good. A tremendous change had happened in his life, as well, he remembered as Kaivalth reminded him to stand a bit straighter, as it better befitted his rank. Weyrleader at a tumultuous time in Libertas, and of the pair, Kaivalth was the more confident by far. It was that confidence and determination that had won Valkryth's attention, and the man could only hope that his dragon knew what he was getting them into. Still, deep in his heart he trusted the brown, knew that he wouldn't do anything that could jeopardize the two of them, and there was only one thing left for him to do now. Stand strong, confident in himself as Kaivalth was confident in him, and power his way through things as only he could; with logic, reasoning, and that ever-calculating harper's mind. Never mind he hadn't been a true harper that long before Impressing; he was a born harper, and he would use that intellect to his advantage, as well as to the advantage of his home, his Weyr.

The man cleared his throat as he glanced over the weyrlings once again, realizing that the moment they came and accepted their knots, they would be full fledged riders like himself. They were ready; they had to have been, otherwise he wouldn't have allowed them to leave his tutelage. They would be fine, and he simply had to keep reminding himself of that fact, plain and simple. "It is a very important day," he commented, a smile tugging at his lips as his gaze settled on a few of the weyrlings before continuing on, clearing his throat every so often to get rid of his nerves. "You all stand with me, no longer teacher and his charges, but rather as equals. You have learned well, and I would be proud to fly into battle, be it with Thread or otherwise, with any one of you. But now is not the time for such thoughts," he added, shaking his head slightly as he gestured towards the table he was standing near. Laid out on the table were dragonrider's knots, ranging everywhere in color from bronze down to the one set of whiterider's knots. A'vayal's eyes glanced towards the new whiterider in question, realizing that the young man and his dragon were a part of the reason why there was such tension between Libertas and Azure and scarcely caring. Riders of all sorts were needed, no matter what, and it wasn't as if they would be a detriment to anyone here. "Once each of you comes up and accepts your knots, you may count yourselves among your rightful places as riders. Congratulations, dragonriders."

(( Congratulations on graduating, weyrlings! Short post from me, and you may either actually RP out your weyrling accepting their rider's knots or just OOC it if you wish. Here is the list of those that are graduating, with the obvious exception of those that are adoptable or ONPCed at the moment. Those with question marks instead of their wings and respective Weyrs are the ones that I'm not quite sure of their placement, for the simple reason that I'm a derp. If those with questions marks would be kind enough to let me know where they'd like to be, I'll gladly edit that in xD ))

Ariya couldn't believe she was finally graduating. It seemed like it was only yesterday that Gyitamimath had hatched claiming Ariya as her rider. Yet here they stood about to join the ranks of fledged riders in defense of their home. She was both excited and nervous at the daunting prospect but thankfully it wasn't all on her shoulders. She fiddled nervously with the hem of her tunic as their former weyrlingmaster spoke. Finally he began calling names her name being among the first called. She walked up to the front to receive her knots her stomach twisting into knots itself.

What if I can't do this? she thought but then Gyitamimath's voice whispered through her head.

Mine, you can do this. I chose you for a reason. I know you were born to be a fighter. Be proud my brave one, today is a day for rejoicing. We're a true dragon and rider pair now. the black spoke support and unconditional love pouring into the young woman through their bond. A smile flickered across Ariya's lips. Yes it was true they were really joining the ranks of fighters they so admired. She'd reached the front by this point and gave A'vayal a polite bow. Being garbed in a tunic and breeches it would have been odd to curtsy.

"I'm honored to be found ready to join my fellow dragonriders." she spoke simply accepting her knots. Gyitamimath gave a proud trumpeting roar as Ariya went to join the riders that would leave for the Island. She'd said her goodbyes already knowing it would probably be a while before she saw anyone at the mainland again if at all. The threat of Amaris loomed over them like a storm cloud. It was only a matter of time before something happened after all. She pushed those dark thoughts away though as she took her seat because today was not about dark thoughts. It was a day to remember as joyful.

It was time. Graduation was upon them and Sarabi was both excited and anxious. She would be leaving all that she was familiar with and she would leave behind for a short time her little brother. M'fasa would be alright though he had Zath to look out for him and Faranth knew the brown wouldn't let anything happen to her rider. She stood with the rest of her class head held high and proud as A'vayal spoke to them. Yes they were full fledged riders know. A proud smirk rested on her lips a hint of amusement flickering there as well. She was arguing with Alvarth about staying for the whole thing. Silly red didn't think they should.

We're staying, Alva and there's no changing my mind. the brunette spoke silently to her dragon. Alvarth snorted grumbling softly.

Fine we'll stay but only long enough for you to get your knots and leave.

You don't have to stick around but I want to socialize so I'll catch up with you. Besides I have to find out when we're leaving. Sarabi answered as her name was called. She walked proudly up to the front to accept her knots.

"It'll be an honor fighting for Libertas." she spoke as she received them. Alvarth gave a proud thrum as Sarabi went to take her seat with the others that would go to the Island. She was glad she'd talked to M'fasa about going to the island already. He would go too but it was his choice she knew because she'd told him to think seriously on his decision. He still had a few more lessons to go though before he could come to the island. She was proud of her little brother though.
