(( Okay, Here is the deal! I post and then all who wants in posts in. Then, I will post again once everyone has entered who wants to enter. It is then that you will need to woo Rheyeth with words and interact with the other characters. When I have feel that someone has indeed won Rheyeth over, I will end the Flight. 8D So have fun boys dragons and their riders!~))

Elysia knew that her lifemate was coming close to taking to the skies to find a mate. She always thought that the Red looked at her most beautiful when she gained the glow that all females got when they were getting ready to Rise. The Candidatemaster took great care on painting lovely, fierce designs upon the female dragon. It had been worth it in her opinion as she rubbed the belly of her companion canine with Rheyeth watching the sky. The sun was beginning to set, creating lovely colors upon the sky. The Rider could feel her dragon’s agitation as the Red’s tail whipped around. Finally, the mighty creature rose up, rumbling. ‘ Elysia. It is time that I take to the sky to claim what is mine. ‘ the dragon murmured gently to Hers. The young simply nodded, shuddering some. She knew what it meant. Rheyeth was finally going to Rise. ‘ Remember Rheyeth, you must Blood. ‘ She reminded her dragon, stern on the fact as Rheyeth took off from her ledge.

The red leapt off her ledge, her wings snapping out to support her massive body as she glided down to the corrals. With such savagery that was not normally seen in the red, Rheyeth grabbed a cow and bit into it. Elysia patiently reminded her dragon to blood and not eat; something that Rheyeth was having a hard time to do. She wanted to eat! Though, Elysia was very adamant on this fact and the Red had no choice but to obey her Rider’s wishes. The Red drained the herdbeast of its blood, filling her own stomach with it. The warm liquid made the female croon as she quickly discarded the carcass to go for another herbeast to deplete it of it’s blood as well. Rheyeth was careful to only take enough to make the hunger that tormented her belly to go away and not to gorge herself. Though, the thought certainly crossed her mind briefly.

As purple replaced her normally serene green multifaceted eyes, Rheyeth let out a roar of challenge to all of those who would hear it. ‘ COME FORTH MALES AND TAKE TO THE SKY. ‘ Bellowed out the red as her wings stretched out. ‘ TONIGHT I WILL PAINT THE SKY CRIMSON AND VICTORY AWAITS THE ONE WHO WINS THE BATTLE. ‘ The Red crouched down briefly before leaping into the air. While other females may have been impressed with shows of strength by their Chasers, the Red was not one of them. Mostly for the fact that she could keep up with the males due to her size, After all she was no small female. Besides, she preferred the seductive words then the twists and turns. Though, she would not tolerate sweet talking. She was no fool!

Elysia groaned when she felt the first effects of Flightlust enter her body and mind. “ Bear..Go lay down…Now. “ Commanded the woman. The dog whined some but did as his master told him. Elysia really did not need to have Bear attacking any of the Riders who would surely find their way here in hopes of claiming her as their dragons had hopes of claiming the fierce Red who was now in the skies. Rather quickly, the young woman pulled the leather that tied her hair and held her braid in place. Her hair sprung out from its confines, falling into semi thick dark locks that trailed down her back and ended at just at the top of her hips. Quickly, she ran her fingers through her silken and well cared for locks, fluffing them up some as she waited for the men and women to appear.

The red dragon powered up into the sky before evening out. From there, she let the remaining thermals support her as she saved her strength. It would not be long before she would be joined by those who wished to claim her as their own.

The rider stroked his sideburns, pondering whether or not to trim them. It had been a while since he’d shorten them and he did begin to think he was looking very caveman-like. It wasn’t good with the ladies or the men. Cavemen just weren’t sexy. He grumbled and shook his head in disgust. He hadn’t groomed himself yesterday and he knew he had to take care of those sideburns eventually. The dusk was starting to flow in and he knew the whers would start to roam. Thank goodness he and Regalith had decided to turn in early. Both dragon and rider knew that there was no reason to stay out. He had given a few girls a flirt, a kiss to a couple of stray guys. At seemed like all he could get today. Slow business lately. He could sense his dragon heaving a deep sigh as the beast watched the sunset. ’What is it with you and sunsets? You’re a male dragon. You’re supposed to a male dragon. Aren’t males supposed to be tough? I mean, maybe the more homosexual men would but I’m the top man-’

You're rattling again, Mine. Your mind is not at ease. You have stressed over not having mated in a while. Though only for you would it be a while. Calm your mind. The sunset is pretty. It's worth watching. It soothes the soul.

’When did you become the intellectual one?’ The platinum did not answer right away, pondering a reason why.

Good point. It's very much out of my personality. But the sunset is very pretty, Do'vanMine.

Do’van rolled his eyes and turned for his bed. He didn’t pull the furs back like a normal person. He crawled onto the bed and stretched out like some sort of cat, back legs sliding out and his arms tucking under his head like a firm pillow. Resting time. It was a good time to go to sleep. He’d be up at dawn anyways, flying with Regalith before going down to the Lower Caverns for a cheap woman or a cheap man. Which ever gender he found first. Women had the boobs and the rears. But men had the tempers in bed usually. Both were well liked. ’Dammit, he cursed. Now he was thinking about Flights! Ugh. He had to clear his mind, just as Regalith had (oddly) said with his wisdom. The man rolled onto his side in hopes of ignoring the sun though it did little to help. He was just tired. He wanted to sleep. Then he felt the feeling. A feeling he knew all too well. ’Regalith! A Flight!’

Don't you think it's bad that you seem to sense them before I do? I may let you know but you seem to have the Flight feelings before I do!

”Don’t care,” he said aloud. The rider was instantly up and reaching out for some clean pants. He decided that going shirtless would be okay. Maybe a jacket… nah. It was very comfortable. No reason to be shy anyways. The platinum was rousing himself from his comfortable place and listening to the call. ”Name? Rider? Gender?” Do’van rattled off as he groomed himself with haste. He ran a hand through his hair and splashed his face to fully wake him.

It is Rheyeth, the dragon of Elysia. Elysia is a girl. But may I suggest we do not overwhelm Hers? Rheyeth is a good female. I have seen her around before. I do like this red.

”Yep, be nice. Got it. Get out there, you big boy!” Do’van encouraged. The dark-eyed man, happy that he had cleaned up a little bit, quickly grabbed a shirt just in case the rider requested he wear one. But if she was hit by Flightlust, she wouldn’t deny a man like him. The platinum rider was smiling like a kid. It was as if something had gone and answered his wish. He had thought of a Flight, thought of his yearning to have somebody to bed, and then there was a female red taking to the skies. It was perfect. Hurray for having a boy dragon!

Speaking of the platinum, Regalith had went to the ledge and stared out at the direction of where he knew herdbeasts were. Though it was only a red, he knew enough about Rheyeth. Mostly from viewing her from a distance but enough. She was no small beast. He decided Blooding a calf would not harm him. The giant beast spread his silvery wings and dove from the ledge. His beautiful appendages caught the wind and it threw him into the sky. He quickly made his descent onto the herdbeasts, many moving slightly away from his ready talons. But a cow became his victim. It was a young one, a tiny, scrawny thing. He only needed its blood anyways. He hastily drained the veins of the life, the prey becoming his source of energy. Rheyeth would surely be impressed by the beast with blood across his muzzle. The platinum growled his appreciation for a good Blooding before lifting his great head to the sky. He roared out to Rheyth, his eyes swirling into a violet hue.

This battle shall only be won by a platinum today, beatiful Rheyeth. I, Regalith the great, shall be your knight and I shall fight tooth and nail to win your affections tonight.

Back with the rider, Do’van was searching frantically for where the redrider was supposed to be. Where, where, where? He was already feeling the platinum’s wings take to the air like a hawk, the winds gusting him along. He had to find this girl fast. But his mind was not fully on the girl. It was on the name. It sounded so familiar and yet he could not fully recall. Where would he have heard such a name? Hm. Guess it was just one of those names. He tossed the shirt onto his shoulder and pondered exactly where the redrider would be. Regalith mentally chuckled at the way His was fretting on finding one person. But for Do’van, it was torture. He walked slower now, eyes more concentrated on faces. He stalled when he saw something very familiar and the one he knew was right.

”Elysia!” he called out happily. It was not fake happiness, merely fake familiar feelings. He remembered her from the flitter hatching. She was cute then. She hadn’t changed since but still, cute. He was more hoping for smoldering temptress but hey, you go for what you get. Of course, then her hair went down. The silky… sexy… dark locks… oh hell. ”My Regalith is after your Rheyeth. I see that it means you and I come together for a few words, hm?” he said with a joking smile. Joking only because he was very arrogant in this current moment. Regalith was a platinum! Who would turn down a platinum? He was the best looking, biggest beast, and the most gentleman-like. Rheyeth would like him. And when that red chose his platinum, he’d be sharing the bed with a very attractive woman that he had been wanting to bed since he had seen the firelizards hatch. Out of respect, he reached out, took her hand, and kissed the knuckles lightly. ”It is an honor to have Regalith and myself involved with your dragon’s Flight.”

Brown-nosing. The easiest thing to do in the world.

T'al dropped heavily onto his bed and let out an exhausted sigh. His dark brown curls hung limply over his closed eyes as he tried to remember the last time he had been so worn out. His back ached and his hands were chafed from holding onto his dragon's riding straps. It wasn't often that the pair went out for hard practice in the sky and the brownrider dreaded each time they did. Keseth was brutal; so many twists and flips and sharp turns, not to mention how sharding long it took until he finally conceded that they should stop. The irritation was clear in his voice as he grumbled, "Must you always fly for so long? I thought it would never be over."

Don't be so dramatic. If it weren't for me you would never leave the weyr for anything other than what is necessary. Keseth rolled his eyes at his bonded's whining. Honestly, if he would just get a bit more exercise and not try to shirk on practice, it wouldn't be so hard. Sometimes he wondered why he ever chose this lazy rider. Too afraid of a little exertion!

"Whatever. Next time can we please ease up? I think if I have to endure any more of that I'll be sore for days." Keseth rumbled his agreement, giving in for now. But the rider knew that would not be the end of that argument. He rubbed his forehead and groaned. What he would give for a nap right then. He curled up on his bed and was just starting to doze off when he felt a mental nudge from his dragon. 'What is it?' he asked, not bothering to speak out loud. He felt a familiar desire coming from the brown, an urge that he could only associate with one thing. T'al gasped and sat upright, whipping his head to glare at the dragon. "Do you have to do this now? I'm exhausted!"

Rheyeth flies and I will Chase her. Don't worry, you won't feel tired for long. You'd best wake up now. That was all the encouragement Keseth would give. He was too distracted by the beginning Flight. He knew Rheyeth, she was a lovely dragon who simply couldn't be won by the likes of certain males. She could only be with the most worthy of dragons, and to a confident male like himself, Keseth knew that was him. While T'al struggled with cleaning himself up, grumbling all the while, Keseth stood at the ledge of the weyr, looking out at the red beauty he would be Chasing. He unfurled his wings and flapped a few times to get the blood flowing again. It would be a lie that he wasn't tired from practice himself, but he wouldn't let that hinder him in a Flight.

Lady Rheyeth, Keseth has arrived. Let me prove that I am fit to be with a beauty such as you. He announced as he entered the sky, gliding gracefully toward the corrals where the herdbeasts still grazed. Tired as he was, he would need a considerable boost of energy to keep up. He spotted a beast that looked like an easy kill, and sure enough it was. He quickly drained its blood, then moved on to blood a second beast for good measure. Almost immediately he felt energy course through him along with Flightlust, fighting away any exhaustion he had just felt. He leaped into the air again, wings spreading out to catch wind underneath them and lift him higher into the sky. I will fly until I can no longer.

T'al moved among the riders' weyrs, trying to find the weyr of the rider his dragon was chasing. He was still dressed in the casual clothes he had on before, but had splashed a bit of water on himself to cool down and wake himself up. There was no use arguing with Keseth against this, because he had already decided to chase, so the only thing he could do was oblige and have a talk with him about it later. When he finally reached the weyr, he stepped in and froze. So he hadn't been the first to arrive, but shardit, why did he always feel so ridiculously nervous when it came to Flights? A blush crept over the 24-Turn rider's cheeks as he said, "M-my name is T'al."

This was going to go great.

Tai'ki, Rheyeth has taken to the skies. She glows brightly with her need for a mate, Faith said as Tai'ki brushed his hide with oil. Faith had politely told the brownrider of his itchy hide a few moments ago, even though it seemed to Tai'ki that an itchy hide was not the brown's trouble. Tai'ki reached over and scratched the dragon's eyeridge when the brown finally told him that it was not his hide that bothered him, but the knowing of an upcoming Flight. Faith knew Tai'ki did not enjoy Flights as he did, but it was hard to resist the temptation to Chase a potential mate for him. "Let me finish oiling you now that I have already started," Tai'ki said, rubbing the oil into the brown's spotted wing gently. Faith rumbled and waited patiently, even as the red called out to the males to follow her.

Come, Tai'ki, I will fly you to the rider, Tai'ki had accidentally let it slip from his mind that he was taking as much time as possible with the oiling and Faith was telling him to hurry in his own special way. Tai'ki groaned before pulling himself onto Faith's back, calling for his flitter to join them with the other rider. Sonshe between immediately so she could be there when Tai'ki arrived. Both dragon and firelizard knew of Tai'ki's fear of Flightlust. He needed comforting in every Flight, and while Faith was distracted the job normally fell on the motherly green.

Faith landed only once to let Tai'ki off his back, then he kicked off the ground again to follow the red. Faith crooned loudly to announce his arrival into the skies, and possibly call Rheyeth's attention to himself even before he was high enough to properly join her Chasers in the Flight. Rheyeth, I am Faith, here to follow you to the ends of Pern. Through Threadfall if I must if that is what it takes to show you I am a strong dragon. After all, only the strongest and the swiftest of the males will be able to keep up with you, Rheyeth. he called as he beat his massive wings and brought himself level with the other brown chaser.

Tai'ki, as usual, was hesitant about approaching the other rider. Elysia did not look as threatening as other riders have during their dragon's Flights, but he didn't want to press his luck. Sonshe landed on his shoulder and curled her abnormally long tail around his neck comfortingly, pulling a giggle out of Tai'ki with a lick on the cheek; which was already turning red.

The gargoyle brown tensed and shot his head up, suddenly awake when he'd been nearly asleep before. //N'dan! Git out 'ere, ya shardin' idi't!// he yelled in at his startled rider, who obediently ran from his weyr to stand next to Zorikhaelth on the ledge. //They's a Flight, dimglow! Git goin'!// He flexed his dark paws on the edge of his ledge, stretching his back as he looked down at the lovely glowing red that would be the star of the evening's performance. And he the dastardly villain, because heroes were so much less fun. "Who's it?" N'dan asked in clear and obvious excitement, standing up on his toes to try to get a clearer view of the red. Annoyed at the pointless interruption, Zorikhaelth turned slowly to face his over-eager young rider. //Go an' git ta Rheyeth's. Shardin' dimglow!// With a snarl, the fearsome-seeming brown launched from his ledge and out over the weyrbowl, sweeping down into a wide bank that showed off his red-ribbed wings with their dark edges. His burning violet eyes kept straight on Rheyeth as he waited for the fun to begin.

N'dan didn't need telling three times. He turned and ran, this Flight marginally better prepared than previous ones. There were shoes on his feet, and he was wearing pants and a shirt. He was doing pretty well. The feline tooth dangling from one ear kept smacking into the side of his head, but he was well used to that. The sharding hair was more annoying, it kept falling all over his face so that he'd have to flip it back which really did no one any good. Luckily, it wasn't too far to where he was going, and he wasn't very late. He was rather impressed with himself. He pulled up to a stop as he came in, panting and smiling like a dog as he looked around. Three men, yes... Mostly, anyway, and there was one woman. Joy! With a cocky and self-assured swagger, he strutted over to her. "G'eve'nin, Miss. Havin' a good time?" He tilted his head to one side, having fairly given up on keeping his hair out of his face, and grinned at her through the fan of dark strands.

Two browns here already? Well that was annoying. And then one platinum, all glowy and obnoxious. How very annoying. Competition sucked. He hated having to deal with other males. It was the female that was important, forget these other upstarts. //Ye're lookin' mighty 'ttractive t'night, Love. Give us a good run, eh?// he said to Rheyeth, not caring one way or the other if she took it well. Zorikhaelth wasn't one to change his ways even to Impress a lovely lady. And if Zorikhaelth wasn't what she liked, then it was her missin' out. There was always another green Flying tomorrow. With a smug grin, the brown blasted up into the sky after the flying red, his eyes narrowed to make his harsh face rather more fearsome than attractive. But then, that was more of Zorikhaelth, too.

The Sky's Shadow

It had been a long day for the trader-turned-dragonrider. It had begun as usual, with a liquid breakfast and then a good hard run around the Bowl, but had gone south from there. He didn't even want to think of the details, but suffice it to say that somewhere along the way was a very angry Headwoman, a rabid dog, a tray of piping hot bubbly pies, and a trip to the Infirmary. Things had not gone well for the normally composed S'tra. By the end of the day, he was worn out and beaten down and all he wanted was to enjoy a nice cool glass of ale. Perhaps several. He was just on his way to partake of such a pleasant evening when his musings were interrupted by the voice of his dragon.

The red Rheyeth Rises, S'tra.

From his perch in the dying sunlight on the Rim of the Weyr, Xath had the perfect view of the happenings beneath him. He hummed softly to himself as he watched the dark beauty blood her kills. Already he felt the stirrings of desire in his chest, the will to Chase after such a gem as Rheyeth. Eyes accelerating from their placid blue to a vibrant purple, Xath stretched his wings in preparation for the chase. I will Chase unless you have any objections. Xath really didn't expect his rider to object to a Flight. The man loved wooing women. It seemed to be in his blood. As far as Xath knew, traders were known for their amorous ways.

S'tra stopped in his B-line to the kitchens and glanced at the herdbeast pens where screaming beasts trampled each other to try to get out of the way of the blooding dragoness. Ah. S'tra could feel his dragon's desire, which of course, sparked his own. Who is Rheyeth's rider? he asked, not quite familiar with the red's appearance. He'd seen her around, but couldn't really place a face.

Elysia, the blue replied in his smoky voice, diving smoothly from his perch on the Rim to join the competition gathering below. Three browns and a platinum already. Xath had his work cut out for him, being easily the smallest dragon present. I have heard she is very beautiful. For a human anyway. Xath was much more focused on the red gem before him. He didn't really care if his rider wished to Chase at this point. Xath would follow Rheyeth whether S'tra liked it or not.

And S'tra was never one to give up on a good Flight. All thoughts of drinking aside, the bluerider turned his attention to finding Elysia's weyr. He had to ask directions from a passing greenrider, but he eventually was headed in the right direction. This could be the chance he needed to at least turn his day around. If not, well... he would surely end up in the kitchens again as he'd originally planned. Either way, it had the potential to be a good night, but S'tra would much rather spend it with a beautiful woman than a cold mug of ale. Taking the stairs two at a time, S'tra paused outside of Elysia's weyr to regain his breath and his composure. Come on, S'tra, he told himself mentally. Pull it together now. You've been here plenty of times before. Maybe not this particular weyr, but S'tra certainly knew his way around Flights. They were some of the most enjoyable parts of dragonriding in his mind. Taking a deep breath to calm his racing heart and maybe get his desires under control, S'tra put on his most winning grin and stepped into the weyr.

He was not at all surprised to see four other riders there plus the woman that must have been Elysia. Xath wasn't kidding when he said she was beautiful. S'tra silently thanked the blue and strongly encouraged him to give his all to win the red Rising. What S'tra wouldn't have given in that moment to be able to touch the dark hair or the soft skin of the woman before him. He was entranced. Mentally shaking himself from his slight shock, S'tra stepped forward and flourished a bow to do any trader proud.

"S'tra, fair Elysia," he said smoothly, without the slightest hitch in his voice despite his desire. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." S'tra straightened from his bow with a winning grin twisting his lips. "It is my hope that we will get to know each other much better after this night." With that, S'tra stepped back, not wanting to appear like he was crowding her. The last thing he wanted to do was to make the other riders aggressive. Being a trader by birth, S'tra was much more interested in peaceful gatherings than fights. Not that he couldn't defend himself, it just wasn't his preferred option. Oh no. He much preferred to woo women than fight men.

As Rheyeth leapt for the skies, Xath found himself at a slight disadvantage right off the bat. His smaller wings would make chasing very difficult, especially compared to the sizes of the other dragons chasing. Being only average in size for a blue, Xath certainly had his work cut out for him. But instead of giving up on the spot, Xath just pumped his wings hard, gaining back what ground he had lost in the initial take-off. What he didn't have in strength, he would certainly make up for in speed and agility. The blue bugled a clarion call to the female before him, his voice resonating in the sunset sky. I, Xath, answer your challenge, beautiful Rheyeth! The blue put on a slight burst of speed, though he was careful to save his energy. These larger dragons could easily outstrip him in stamina if he wasn't careful. I will challenge all comers in order to win your heart this day.

((bleh. I can tell I haven't RPed a Flight in a while...))

The young woman stared in silence for a moment as Do’van came in and introduced himself, starting to twine his sweet words around her. Though, as the Flightlust started to talk a hold of the rider, she became more and more unlike herself. She did indulge him when he lifted up her hand to brush his lips against her knuckles before pulling her hand away. “ It is a pleasure to have Regalith chase Rheyeth as well…” She murmured huskily as her golden eyes dragged over Do’van’s form for a moment. He was certainly handsome and seemed nice enough but it didn’t matter. Rheyeth would make the choice and she would compile. Like she always did when Rheyeth rose.

The red in question rode the thermals as the rays of the falling sun danced along her back. While she may have started alone, she was joined by a large platinum, confident that he would win the battle simply because of his rank. A growl thrummed from her chest as her eyes swirled violet in their color with red threatening to mix within her eyes. ‘ Do not think yourself so confident male, Your color may be of high rank but this does not impress me. You claim yourself great but have done nothing to show me you earn that pride and ego for greatness. ‘ She growled out dangerously. No, this was not the normal, reserved and dignified Red who was calm and collected. She was the fiery warrior woman who stood with the men and refused to be left behind. She may have had a personality similar to a Ruby but her Flights always made it clear that she was indeed a Red. A red who’s fighting spirit needed to be quelled with sweet, honest words.

Elysia’s attention turned from the Platinum rider to the new male who entered her weyr and introduced himself. Like with Do’van before him, Elysia’s gaze swept over his form before resting upon his face. For a brief moment, her lips quirked up into a smile that showed kindness within it. Though, it quickly turned up only a bit more into a more seductive, lust filled smile. Oh yes, not that she knew but her exotic desert heritage was shining through loud and clear. “ A pleasure to meet you, T’kal…” She murmured heavily, not moving from her spot. She had not yet changed into her sleeping dress, still wearing her breeches and tunic that she wore during the day. She had been going to change into her sleeping dress when the sun set but obviously now, she would not get that chance. Not that it matter much. Her attention was quickly turned to the new male who entered her weyr, a green flitter upon his shoulders. She could see the fear within him as he did not come forward to introduce himself. For a moment, it caused a frown on her features but it too quickly faded as the lust quickly overtook the woman. She could feel the wing against her body, the warmth the dying rays gave. Even if she wasn’t flying, she felt like she was. She felt like that the sky was her own.

Rheyeth bellowed out as two browns came to join the platinum that chased for her affections and the right to mate with her. She heard their vows of tempting words but she would not have any of it.‘ Strength? I care not for strength or speed! You may keep up with I but it is I who also keeps up with you. Do not think that shows of aerial tricks will impress me. I am no green! ‘ she roared out, giving her wings a powerful stroke to send her up higher into the sky after she scolded the two chasers.

The candidatemaster smiled when a fourth male enter, finding him handsome despite the hair in his face. “ Miss? My name is Elysia and no…I’m not having a good time yet…the Flight has only begun and Rheyeth has not even shown your dragons her poweress. “ the young woman murmured to the male. Four chasers? This was certainly making her happy indeed. Maybe her beloved lifemate would get her wish to indeed find a steady mate. Rheyeth and Elysia both shared the desire to have only a single male for their own, Rheyeth more so surprisingly. Well, perhaps it was because the Red tended to be possessive and preferred to focus her attention fully upon a single male. She thought that the last brown rider was going to be the last chaser to join in Rheyeth’s Flight…but was caught off guard when a final male entered. What caught her attention was not the fact that he was good looking but the fact that he carried the same blood as she did. The blood of traders. She held her breath for a moment when he spoke and she nodded. “ Oh yes….I do quite hope so as well…” She crooned out before stepping back a few steps to get a good look of all the males. She tilted her head some, letting her healthy, well cared for locks fall over her shoulders and to cover her clothed breast. “ I do hope you will enjoy this Flight as I am….”

‘ A run!? I am no lowly wher! I am a dragon and I fly these skies. And tonight I claim them as my own. ‘ Bellowed the female angrily. She blinked however when a blue was the last to join as her suitors. Brutish males, she would show them that they were going to be mistaken if they thought she would be won over by their confidence and egos. The red turned to face her five chasers and pulled her wings in some to dive bomb the males aggressively. She bowled right through the group of the males and shot off in the opposite direction of where she had been flying. The Flight truly started now. Though, she did not use her full strength, taking in consideration for her single blue chaser. She found admirable that the blue wanted to challenge the much bigger males to win her. But Rheyeth wasn't exactly focused on that right now. She wanted to fly.

T'al's face seemed to flush even more when the redrider spoke to him in that husky tone. He was slowly but surely being overcome by Flightlust and really, this was getting uncomfortable for him. He was familiar with the feeling and knew to expect it every time his dragon Chased, but it still took him by surprise with its strength and intensity. His fists clenched as he tried to quell the lust coming over him, but knowing there was no way to prevent it. He could feel his dragon's desire and need to have the rising female, and T'al responded with his own desire to have the female's rider. 'Good luck, Keseth,' he thought, sending encouragement to his brown in the hopes it would help him do better in the Flight. A rumble of amusement followed in his mind as he responded, So you're finally coming to. And don't worry, I intend to win.

Keseth was aware of the other Chasers arriving, other males who dared try to win the prize that would be his. A blue was no competition for him, he thought arrogantly, but he watched the two other browns and the platinum especially. This Flight would be a test of everything he had, and that made him all the more excited. He lived for challenges and for pushing himself to the limit. He would do the same now and prove himself better than even higher ranked dragons. Very well, Rheyeth, he responded to the red with admiration in his lust-filled tone, You are certainly not a green and I will not treat you as such. But I will prove myself the best before this Flight is over.

His eyes followed Rheyeth as she pulled higher into the sky, the fading rays of the sun lighting up her dark hide. Her dive right past the males took him by surprise, but it wasn't long before he let out a determined roar. He did a quick turn and angled himself correctly in mid-air before putting on a burst of speed to chase after her. Tearing through the sky in his pursuit, gaining strength from the warmth of the sun and the blood from his kill, he was at his peak. He felt alive, his muscles working naturally to keep him flying and the wind beating against as his hide as he put on more speed. Only one thing would make this day complete, however, and that was winning the female he sought after.

T'al watched the other riders enter the room, getting the information from Keseth that there was a platinum, two browns and a blue also chasing. His lifemate was confident that he could out fly the other dragons and the brownrider wished he shared his bonded's certainty. T'al realized the challenge the other dragons would present to him and gently reminded him not to get too confident. Keseth replied with a huff but seemed to acknowledge it, and the connection between them was pushed to the back of the dragon's mind, Keseth now only focusing on Rheyeth. T'al stood awkwardly, trying to keep his mind off the Flight but unsuccessful as he looked over the female rider, taking in her dark hair and her slim body. He then gave one more bit of encouragement to his dragon, knowing full well that Keseth didn't need it, and waited to see outcome of the Flight.

Regalith winced when she upbraided him for his pride. Though usually his pride was false, it still hurt to have such words thrown at him. Rheyeth was a fiery beauty, that was for sure. But he wondered whether she really wanted to be caught. It seemed like it was more for her to prove that females were better than males. Either way, he was determined to get by this barrier. She was a beautiful, beautiful beast. But his mind could not make words that would fit for something. She had gone and assumed he, because he was a platinum, was using his hide as an advantage. He had lost to blues and browns many times. He wasn’t about to lose this one though and that wasn’t because a blue had shown up and not gotten a bite from her words. Jealousy raked at him and he wondered whether or not he would be able to compare to a blue that only spoke about battling the others for her. ’What is your problem? You’re hesitating,’ a sharp voice broke. Regalith knew Do’van’s voice from anywhere. It was coated in lust and dripping with yearning. Again.

She is a tricky one, Mine. I think this is going to be tougher than I anticipated for it to be. She does not go for strength or color or anything like that. She seems to want a true knight.

’I don’t care how you do it! Just be that damn knight for her and catch that red. I want Elysia all to myself.’

Selfish. Regalith decided that he did want Rheyeth though. But the competition was hot. He turned away sharply when she dove at them like a practiced hawk. His admiration soared when she turned and flew away from him. He beat his great wings and followed her with determination in his violet swirled eyes. I speak not from my rank but from my heart! You are a red but a queen of reds. You deserve a knight and I swear to you that I am that knight. Let no other male dare tell you otherwise. They cannot keep up with one as beautiful and strong as you! He had no fancy twirls to give or great speed. But he did have a set state of mind. He had his eyes on her and her alone. I wish to be your king. I shall win not for what color I am but for what I have to offer to you, great red Rheyeth of the crimson sky!

Unlike the dragon’s fine words, the rider was not as sweet and true to heart. He was watching her as each person came in and tried to make an impression on her. Do’van glared at each one, thoughts ringing to himself. Regalith would be the only one winning tonight. Elysia’s golden eyes had him caught. He had to have her. He felt deep jealousy every time she was greeted and touched. He had half the mind to tear them away and make his statement. But it would do no good. He could not be violent among these people. No, that would be wrong. Rheyeth would have a good mind on her rider. He couldn’t let himself and Regalith be shamed by such actions.

But yes, he was jealous.

Zorikhaelth snorted and drew back as she took so harshly to what he'd said. //Bit t' lit'ral, this'un. Can' take nothin' poetical,// he whispered conspiratorially to his rider, who huffed much in a similar manner at the unwelcome distraction. //So?// was his brief and irritated retort, which was sufficient. Zorikhaelth growled and bared his teeth, but only muttered back, //Bit off-puttin', 's all.// He then let the matter drop, pumping his wings down to go after the red as she continued up and away. He hardly noticed the blue that had joined them. He hardly ever did notice the competition. They weren't his problem unless they proved feisty. They were her problem, and this Flight he was more than content to let her deal with the rabble.

With that thought to bring up his spirits and a smirk on his face, he felt once more confident enough to say, //Jus' a figure a' speech, Love,// his voice low and quiet enough that she could ignore it if she wanted. He was chatty, but he wasn't much of a talker. After all, you've heard him talk. He knows enough to know that if he did keep up a conversation long enough she'd just get more and more likely get disgusted at him and he'd blow his chances. And he had absolutely no interest in doing something like that. Flights were supposed to be fun, but they weren't fun if you lost before the game was even over. And if she didn't like his silence, that would only be because she wasn't familiar with the alternative.

N'dan was much more inclined to take Elysia's words well, though that's fairly easy to understand. They hadn't been screamed at him, and she hadn't flown off afterward. Plus, he was pretty well gone. He was very familiar with being gone, and he knew that he was. Zorikhaelth was surprisingly in control of himself, N'dan was just reacting and sucking up, all under the iron-clad delusion that he was totally awesome. Which is kind of endearing in a way, and kinda gross as well. The big grin he gave her for answering him was kinda neither. "Lookin' for'ard to 't," he drawled, taking a step closer, only to see her getting distracted by the other rider coming in.

With a hurt expression, he looked after her as she went toward him, looking far too interested for his liking. What did he have that N'dan didn't? As far as N'dan could see, nothing. And even when she moved away from the bluerider, she didn't come back to him. Went and talked to everyone. No fair! Well. Not to N'dan. Why? Well. Just because he's N'dan, I guess... He wasn't even the only brownrider here! There were two others! He was in a crowd! How was he going to get her to notice him? //Leave it, y' dimglow!// Zorikhaelth warned him with a growl. He didn't need his rider screwing things up again.

Rheyeth was coming. He steered quickly out of her path as she turned, not particularly surprised. He was no green fresh to the race. She wasn't the first female to make a run through her males. It was kinda too bad females couldn't learn from each other's Flights, might make them a bit more interesting. But no matter. Zorikhaelth adjusted for the change as quickly as he could, not really minding that it took him a while to get turned around and speeding the other way. After all, the only male smaller was the blue. And she had claimed this wasn't a physical match. Indeed, once he was on target he saw she was taking it easy. At least easy compared to what she could be doing. A bit disappointing, really, but that was her call. He pumped his wings and raised himself above the pack, keeping behind her while still getting to admire her spread wings and back. //So lovely,// he sighed out quietly so that she could hear him. If he was going to say nice things, he might as well let them do some good.

Just say Faith follows silently, and Tai'ki remains away from the group of Chasers. I don't really have time to reply right now, with school starting again next week, but I don't want to hold this Flight up. So continue please, maybe I'll have muse and time in the next round.

The Sky's Shadow

Xath almost took it as a good thing when Rheyeth did not reply directly to his answering challenge. The other replies she gave the other chasers were not very encouraging, so the blue took it as a good sign when she didn't rip his words to shreds as well. He had something to prove, after all, being the only blue there, and he was going to take every chance he could to prove his mettle amongst these much larger dragons. He might be large for a blue, but these other dragon dwarfed him. Xath knew he had his work cut out for him this night. Rising quickly after Rheyeth, the blue drove his wings powerfully, not wanting the others to get too far ahead of him.

Lead on, beautiful Rheyeth! the smokey blue crooned to the glorious red before him, tempting him to greater speeds than he had previously attempted if only it would impress her. Your Xath will follow wherever you lead! If you fly to the stars, I will follow! To the moons as well! Unlike his rider, Xath was not one for smooth words, and perhaps it showed a bit, but sometimes he did become inspired. His voice was sultry and smooth as he spoke, corkscrewing upwards with a quick burst of speed. But it was that very maneuver that cost him time, for in the moment his eyes were not on Rheyeth, she dove at them aggressively. In a moment of panic, Xath tucked his wings and dropped like a stone out of her way. Realizing what he had done, he quickly flared them out again and flew after her, already behind. He growled to himself for his stupidity, but soon found himself gaining ground. Perhaps she wasn't going as fast as she could for his sake. Xath took it as a compliment. She wanted him in the Chase then. With that small boost to his confidence, the blue drove his wings hard after her, never making the mistake of taking his eyes from her again.

S'tra could only smile to Elysia as she replied to him, obviously liking what he had said. Looking over her body and her enchanting golden eyes, S'tra encouraged his blue to win this Flight. You concentrate on you. I'll handle Rheyeth, the blue told him privately, his desire plain as day in his husky voice. S'tra silently confirmed, putting all his focus on the beautiful female in front of him and the other male riders vying for her attention. He didn't trust the platinumrider farther than he could throw him. One brownrider looked barely out of puberty. The two others looked like something even the gutter would spit back out and incredibly awkward with the prospect of Flight, respectively. His opinions of the other Chasers were obviously not very high. But what rider's were in the middle of a Flight? S'tra felt himself completely justified in his opinions, but he refused to let them cloud his judgment. He turned his focus to Elysia again, taking a small step back even though all he wanted to do was take her in his arms. Perhaps it was a good idea for him to step back...

"I fully intend to enjoy every minute of it," the bluerider replied daringly, noticing that none of the others had spoken in response. Perhaps he could set himself apart from the others by being bolder rather than he was the only bluerider present. "As long as it is spent in your company, I am more than satisfied." Oh how he longed to take up even more of her time this night. He didn't want a single one of the other riders touching her, couldn't even stand the thought! But this was her Flight. He had to let her choose even though he had his own firm opinions about who was the best choice.

((I am SOOO sorry this is so late >.< Life is absolutely crazy.))

Her eyes travelled from male to male as she let herself go to the Flight Lust. With careful, almost delicate steps she moved forward to mingle among her chasers as her Beloved flew the skies. Admittedly, all of Rheyeth’s chasers had handsome riders. And if it wasn’t for the apparent desire that flickered in and out of her gaze that showed it, then surely the creeping faint blush showed it. It was from a mixture of embarrassment but mostly from the need to have a man in her bed just as Rheyeth needed a male to embrace her.

“ None of Yours have chased Mine before…” Elysia stated, with a bit of a purr rolling out from her lips. Her voice was soft as always, but with the Flight Lust gripping her it took a seductive turn. She slowly weaved throughout the five men, teasing them. Leaning in, lips barely touching their skin, her hand stroking their chests…Oh how Elysia was pleased. “ I am a bit curious why Yours have decided to chase mine but I am very pleased all the same…” She crooned to the competitors. Indeed she was pleased as was the Red female who flew the skies. Rheyeth was pleased that Elysia was happy and while she wanted to make to make her Rider pleased….this was HER Flight and HER choice.

The Red in question was currently leading her Chasers over to the Beach. Adrenaline pumped through the female’s system, mixing with the need to mate which only made her more feral. Her faceted eyes were a deep violet that was tainted by hints of red and green/blue that flickers in and out. With a tilt downwards, the dragoness descended towards the water sharply. Rheyeth pulled in her wings into a half shape, giving her more speed as she fell. It might have looked like she was ready to end the Flight already but a quick snap of her wings evened her out as she sped across the water. She let her talons fall into the water, rumbling at the feel of cool water teasing her hide with the splashes of water. She did not linger skimming the water’s surface for too long for she began to rise up once more. ‘ Come my Chasers! We must rise higher to see the last rays of this day. I will not be happy until I do. ‘ She crooned out, the red pushing herself up into the sky to meet the clouds. ‘ If I am a queen of reds on this day, then when the sun dies, so will the queen of reds and tomorrow I will simply be Rheyeth again. ‘ She called out.

Elysia gave herself more to her dragon, which pleased the huge red.‘ Yes Mine. Let us become a single entity, as it was meant to be. ‘ The red crooned to her rider. How could Elysia even think of denying the dragon? She felt herself slip away and become united with the dragoness. She was flying high above the sky, dancing among the clouds as the heat of the dying sun caressed her once more. Elysia turned to the Riders, slowly stalking forward. She made sure that she held the gaze of all the men that met hers. There was a sense of confidence within her eyes, giving indication that she was not simply Elysia anymore but Elysia-Rheyeth. The first she approached was Do’van, seeing the jealousy that held him captive. The female reached out, her fingers barely touching his chest before she pressed her hand flat. She then pushed it up, feeling the muscles in his chest, giving a soft groan in response. When she got to his shoulders, her hand left him and she quickly moved on to Xath’s rider next. She did not touch him like she had touched Regalith’s, but leaned in so her hot breath teased the skin of his neck. “ Handsome….so, desirable…” She murmured slowly before darting off before he could react. The next male to be looked upon as the rider of Faith…who remained in the back. While she wanted to approach him, he seemed afraid and while she may been gripped with lust…Elysia did not desire to bring fear to him. So she quickly moved to T’al. She smiled and took his hand, lifting it up to brush her lips against his knuckles. She looked up at him from under her lashes, her smile holding the seductive look that gripped her entire body. “ Fly Well…” She murmured before moving on to the last. N’dan. He was handsome and yet cute at the same time. She reached up to touched the feline tooth…before running her hand through his hair. Her eyes widen when she felt how soft it was…and had a sudden moment of sheer fascination with the male’s hair. She simply spent a few moments running her hands through his hair, smiling happily. Though, she backed off so she could grace all the Riders with her form.“ Come…Hold me…caress me…Let me feel your hands upon my body.” She murmured.

Rheyeth continued to fly, enjoying herself. Though, she started to feel herself tire. Her Flight would not last too much longer and she knew the males knew it too. ‘ Sing to me your Love for me…for I can only have one male and one male as my own. Prove to me which one of you is worthy to be my Mate. ‘

(( OCC: One more round of posting before I post the Winner. This obvious has gone on for a bit too long but hey, It was my first Flight and I has learned alot. - Nods. <3 Have fun. ))

The Sky's Shadow

Longing tingled across his skin as S'tra watched Elysia carefully, his eyes slowly losing what little control he had, that control replaced by heat and desire. Her voice intoxicated him and he craved more. Her body so close to his as she wove among them, so close he could reach out and pull her against him, caused his skin to quiver, his hands to clench. His composure was lost entirely. He couldn't help the pleased smile on his face, just as he couldn't help the sharp flash of jealousy that flashed in his eyes, his smile, as he watched her step near the other riders as well.

"Does it matter why we Chase?" S'tra asked boldly, unconsciously taking a step towards her. "We are all after the same beautiful goal." His slight accent became even more noticeable with Flightlust clouding his mind, a slight slurring of words that was lyrical rather than jumbled. Certain syllables were more distinct than others, pronounced slightly differently than the norm. It was the only real way to tell if S'tra was in control of himself. And he certainly was not. "Only the result really matters," he said, voice dropping seductively. Well, he hoped it was seductive. At this point, he really didn't care. All he wanted was Elysia. Everything else was out of his mind.

And just as S'tra wanted Elysia, Xath wanted Rheyeth. He wanted her with every ounce of his strength. As she led them over the beach and sea, Xath pumped his wings sparingly, wanting to save his strength for a final push. These larger dragons would easily out-distance him if this Flight went on much longer. The lone blue could already feel his wings tiring, the strain on his chest and shoulders already making each wingstrike a challenge. He caught a breeze and cupped his wings, letting it propel him forwards a few dragonlengths before beating his wings again. When Rheyeth cupped her wings and dove, Xath was only an instant behind. Finally! A move of agility he knew he could perform better than any other Chaser! The others were simply too large, too bulky for such aerial feats. Flaring his wings wide, Xath bugled jubilantly as the spray from the ocean washed across his hide, refreshing in its coolness. Just the jolt he needed!

I follow until the end, beautiful one! Xath called out as he beat his wings strongly in order to rise with the red female before him. He bugled assent to his words. For even tomorrow you will be my queen!

S'tra barely stifled a groan as Xath's wings strained under the pressure to keep up with the larger red. But e had other things to focus on. Like Elysia. He very nearly growled when she touched Do'van, having to catch himself as he took a step forward possessively not to continue forward and risk a fight. Though Flightlust made him extremely cocky and confident, a fight was never a good accompaniment to Flight. In fact, it was a sure way to ruin one. But shards if S'tra didn't want to rip Elysia away from Do'van in those moments... And then she was beside him, with the barest breath of air between his body and hers, her voice in his ear, her breath on his neck... This time he couldn't help the groan of longing that escaped him, nor the step he took when she left him for another rider. The same jealousy stabbed his stomach as she touched the others, the same anger. Was he not worthy to be touched? The bluerider grunted to himself. That would need to be changed.

Her murmur was the only permission he needed. Stepping forward boldly, S'tra stopped within mere inches of Elysia, his eyes filled with longing though his smile was softer, if not by much. "Let me show you what a trader's hands can do," he said without thinking, in that moment surrendering himself completely to Xath, urging the blue to chase with every last ounce of strength. Xath bugled in response, but S'tra was already focused on Elysia once again, a subtle difference in his eyes and posture the only sign he had completely let go. Smiling and knowing the second meaning to his words, S'tra softly ran a hand down the skin of Elysia's arm, trailing it to her hand which he drew to his lips to kiss. He expected another rider to rip him away at any moment, so his eyes never left Elysia's. He doubted he could have looked away even if he'd wanted to. And her hair...he desperately wanted to caress it, to tangle his hands in it...he actually noticed that the hand not holding hers was already playing with the hair at the base of her neck. So much for control. He slid that hand down her shoulder and to her waist, slowly and carefully, trying to draw out every desire while trying to control his own.

"I hope we can continue this later." With another kiss to her fingers, S'tra forced himself to step away though it was with the utmost reluctance on his part. If he didn't he would not be able to control his actions. He would have taken her right then and there. He needed to step away in order to give her a choice. But he did not step back far. He was there, making his presence and desire known. He lost all thought as he concentrated fully on Xath's efforts.

The blue was almost relieved to notice that Rheyeth was beginning to tire. Almost because he knew the hardest part was still to come. The final push, the final chance to prove himself worthy of her. Driving his wings hard, Xath caught every stray breeze he could, using them to propel him farther, faster after her. Her larger wingspan definitely gave her the advantage--as it did every other dragon chasing save him--but he was a blue! He was built for speed! Making himself as streamlined as possible, Xath crooned to Rheyeth as he followed, even going so far as to corkscrew in his flight when it would not hinder his progress.

Simply speak to me again, red queen! the blue called out, his voice filled with yearning. Just let me hear your voice! Even should you choose another this day, just the sound of your voice will keep me content. Xath's breathing was becoming labored. Keeping up with such larger dragons was definitely taking its toll on him. If this didn't end soon, he was pretty sure his wings would fall off. I will follow you beyond exhaustion, beyond the seas if only to hear your melodious voice, see your beautiful form! Grace embodied you are! And then Xath hadn't the breath for more words. His lungs burned as if he'd inhaled firestone. His hearts beat furiously to keep up with the energy he needed just to stay aloft, let alone catch the red beauty before him. His shoulders burned with even the slightest change in wind or breeze that threw off his tenuous rhythm. The smallest dragon chasing was very near the limits of his endurance. But he would struggle on. Until his red queen had chosen a mate, he would struggle on. Even if his wings did fall off.

Rider and dragon were connected mostly but there were differences no doubt. For Regalith the silver prince, he was filled with awe over the way this red flew, the way her wings would shift to catch winds and to propel herself forward. She was probably filled with energy due to the Flightlust that was invading each male and her own body. The beast was feeling the energy as well, his wings filled with more energy than he had ever truly known from the skies. Only Flights gave him this. The violet filled eyes were following every move she made, trying to at least keep himself closer to her, show his great size and his amazing hide. He wanted to show his power and his stamina for that was what he had. He was not a well-rounded brown nor was he the courageous blue. But surely the platinum could find the words to woo her properly. Rheyeth was a fiery one but not impossible to figure out. He didn’t pay attention to the clouds that flew overhead or the raging urge to hold her close, to make this female’s lust one with his own. He needed Rheyeth to choose him. She was such a beauty that he couldn’t give her up. Not quickly nor easily, at least.

Regalith stretched out his neck and tried to power his wings to bring him closer. Unlike the smaller males, his stamina was great. He was a platinum, built to handle the stamina of a gold. This red could throw nearly every wing beat her body could give until the last second that she could fly. He would still be strong enough to hold her and keep her from falling to the ground. Regalith was the only platinum here. In his mind, he was trying to convince himself that she’d choose him despite the obvious competition of the blue and browns. He followed her, wings catching any gust they could, sparing the last few strokes just in case he needed them. He was not a fool. He knew better than to assume that Rheyeth would just fly slowly and carefully. Which she proved as she dove towards the water. He made the same dive only to realize that his speed wasn’t going to make the same swift pull back that the others could. So, unwillingly for his safety, he pulled up earlier, hovering above the competition before slowly descending to the water’s spray in hopes of keeping himself firmly in the race.

Far off, the rider could feel the winds on his face practically. The way Regalith had to level out above the waters forced a cooling sensation down his veins to make the lust take a few steps back and not force him to make a mistake that would turn Rheyeth and Hers away from the platinum duo. He knew he had to gain the status of full connection between them. But this was where they were truly different. Regalith was admiring it. Do’van was expecting it. He watched the female that all the other males had crowded towards. Do’van nearly growled at the others when Elysia began to change. He knew what was happening. She was losing herself to this Flight. Just like she should. He sharpened his gaze onto her, hoping for a taste of her lips and maybe her whole body when he won, but there was more to it than that. There would always be teasing. She walked to him, fingers outstretched to touch what must’ve been a golden statue (in his mind.) He swelled at the feeling of flesh running over his chest, that much of his body exposed openly to everybody for he had no fear of his body. A feral growl would’ve released itself had he not felt the platinum’s wing beats in his body. The shock of another beat made him nip it back forcefully. She wasn’t with him long, a groan and she was gone.

’Win, my beast. Win. She has found me desirable with the way she has so silently touched my being. I wish to bed this woman, make her mine to have.’ There was no reply, the silvery one lost in this Flight. But the words had reached him. The rider suddenly was angered though, this being felt in Regalith and being answered with an extra push into the wings. The woman had gone to the others. She had spoken to them and touched them making what she had given him half as worthy. No, he needed to make his body the only one she wanted. He slid his foot forward but stalled as a strong feeling of anger washed over him too. This time, it was the dragon’s fault.

You shall not touch until she claims so. She is just as important as Rheyeth. Should you harm or touch Hers in any way that she does not wish, you shall lose this for the both of us! The foot suddenly slid back, his body no longer strained on pouncing on her, like feline and prey. Regalith was right. He couldn’t screw this up. Then she finally gave the cue. He was glad she had stepped away from the others but he also knew he could not be the first to touch. He wasn’t quick enough despite her call. The blue’s rider had stepped forward and made his touches, Do’van ready to attack any second. Regalith strained himself forward, trying to gain a few inches on his competitors. This feeling of lust made the rider whine slightly as the blue touched the redrider so openly. He was daring, that was for sure. Had this not been a Flight and just any other case, Do’van would’ve attacked the man for it but no. He had to be conscious of his actions. Playing patient, he waited until the blue rider was gone before he dove in for his turn. His words were sweet but he was not the man she needed.

Do’van turned Elysia towards him with a gentleness that was out of character for him. He was being held back by Regalith’s warnings and feelings of caution. This, again, was reflected in the efforts he gave because the platinum lessened up to put slight concentration on his rider. The red would understand. He was merely looking out for Elysia, Hers. Do’van pulled Elysia close and let his hands run down her sides, unaware that he had gotten so angry earlier for the blue’s less to touchy moment with her. He didn’t need much. Only a moment to pull her close and laid his nose on her neck. She smelled of the slightest salt but then the rest was femininity. She was a flower, a rose in the coldest winter. By the way of smell. ”Your dragon shall make her choice and when she does, I hope you come to me,” he said as quietly in her ear as possible. ”I desire you, Elysia. I have since the flitter hatching. Do not forget that. Flight or no Flight, your beauty had me wishing you were mine to hold. Let that be tonight.”

He unwillingly stepped away, hands tracking back up to her shoulders before sliding down and leaving his touch dangling on her fingertips. Do’van was not lying. He had desired her since he saw her at the hatching. But that did not mean it would earn him a win. Maybe only the truth for now but hopefully a piece of truth to get a bonus point with Rheyeth, the dragon possibly even looking out slightly for her rider. But the important words were those of the platinum. Regalith knew she was growing weaker. She’d need a male to grasp her, hold her as they became one together for a night. The beast bugled and decided to drop his stamina and his rider’s urges to lose himself. The platinum needed the last ounces of energy. He propelled himself forward, eyes nearly glowing with the intense lavender shades that were infesting them. Let the suns rise and the moons set. Let days come and nights go. No matter what time of year it is, you shall be a beauty in my eyes, he called, voice warm and honey-like by now. You are the most beautiful red the skies have ever known. Never shall a red of your greatness ever fly in Flight again for they cannot compare.

As the Flight wore on, T'al found it more and more difficult to just wait for the outcome. He was feeling the Flightlust getting worse and worse, increasing in intensity as Keseth became more focused on the Flight and his desire for Rheyeth became stronger. As it was he was having a hard enough time dealing with it, but if this lasted much longer he risked losing himself completely to the Flight. He tried to hang onto some sort of coherent thought but everything else seemed to fade away whenever he looked at Elysia. Looking at the beautiful redrider made everything else melt away, yet at the same time made him all too aware of the other males in the room vying for her attention. While he was normally a non-aggressive person, this sharding Flightlust was making him think unnatural thoughts. He entertained the ideas of just shoving the other chasers out of the room or of Keseth winning the Flight and Elysia picking him and only him, to spend the night with her... Sharding lust! He clenched his fists as yet another uncomfortable wave hit him, showing him no mercy in its intensity.

Yet his eyes still followed Elysia as she went around the room to each of the riders, unable to look away even though it was difficult to watch. Each time she moved closer to one of the males a feeling of anger came over him, he wanted her to be his and not anyone else's. How could she move so freely, as under the spell of the Flight as he was, and not feel the strain he was feeling? She moved by him and he almost took a step toward her, unable to help himself, before she was out of reach and mingling with another rider. But then she was suddenly near him again, brushing by him and speaking in that lust filled tone that made him barely stifle a moan of longing. How much longer would this go on?

The dragon, however, was enjoying this much more than his rider. This was turning into one of his most exhilarating and thrilling Flights, making him only more determined to come out on top and prove himself better than the other males. Rheyeth was a powerful and beautiful female, and to be chasing after her made this even more worthwhile. Whatever tricks she pulled or tests she gave, Keseth was sure he would do well. Confidence dripped thick in his voice as he bugled to her, letting his voice boom through the air letting her know he was still in the Chase and warning the other males just what competition he was. Fly far, Rheyeth. When all the other males drop of exhaustion, I will be there to catch you. He knew he was smaller and more agile than the platinum but not quite as speedy as the blue, so when Rheyeth dove toward the water he quickly pulled in his wings and darted down after her. A trick like this would put the platinum at a disadvantage but it was also the blue's forte, so Keseth poured on as much speed as he could, trying to keep on the red's tail. He managed to pull up in time, avoiding falling into the ocean as he leveled out. That would have been unimaginably embarrassing. Cooling water sprayed up at him welcomingly, feeling refreshing against the white-hot adrenaline running through his veins. Soon Rheyeth was rising up again, leaving the ground behind, and Keseth powered up after her, completely lost in the thrill of the Chase and the feeling of the sun on his wings.

T'al closed his eyes for a brief moment, feeling the sensation of rising through the sky and flying up and up... his bonded felt at home in the sky, chasing after females. This was what he loved to do. T'al could at least let his dragon have that much. But they would be having a conversation about when exactly he Chased when this was over. Chasing when his rider was exhausted after a long day was not appreciated. T'al noticed Elysia was by him once more and opened his eyes, eagerly taking in her attention while it lasted. Her fingers gently touched his hand and sent a thrill of pleasure up his arm, making his face flush. She then brushed her lips against his hand and it took all he had in him to remain completely still and not lose control. Forget losing himself to the Flight, he had to watch himself until it was over. T'al watched Elysia move onto the next rider and stared with a mixture of longing and jealousy as the redrider played with the other male's hair, wishing it was him she was giving her attention to. Then Elysia stepped back and T'al's eyes widened eagerly. She was giving them all free reign with her, what more could he want? Besides winning the Flight, of course. He had to wait as the first of the riders took time with her, clenching and unclenching his hands to deal with his conflicting emotions as he watched. Then it was his turn, and T'al wasted no time stepping up to her, taking simple pleasure in just being so close. "Rheyeth will choose well, I know. But until then..." He trailed off, lightly brushing his hand up her arm to her shoulder. He spent a few moments running his fingers over her soft hair, reveling in the feeling of it before he finally stepped back again, only after giving her hand a light squeeze.

The end was coming, Keseth could feel it. He noticed Rheyeth starting to tire as she continued upward, which could only mean she was preparing to fall and make her choice. Keseth himself was beginning to tire and was thankful for the energy the blood gave him, for he surely would have slowed long ago had he not blooded. His wings were now starting to feel slow and he had to give extra effort to keep them pumping, but he would not give up yet! He was too close to think about turning back now! Thermals and warm breezes helped him gain altitude, but it was mostly pure effort on the brown's part that took him higher into the air. When all was said and done, Keseth would be able to say he gave his greatest effort. They have all kept up with you so far, Queen of the Skies, but who would be willing to fly farther? I have proven myself worthy and would be honored if you chose me. A magnificent dragon such as you deserves only the best!
