Piper was walking out of history talking to some friends when the teacher asked her to stick around because she was tlaking too much in class. she rolled her eyes. She sat back in her seat and set her purse on top. She hated that her history teacher always had to have her stay there and no one else who was talking. Just because she was the loudest doesnt mean she was the only one talking. She stayed there being lectured about how men dont like women with big mouths and her saying that she didnt care what he thought becuase he needs to learn that girls can speak their mind too;, its not just a mans world. She then grabbed her bag pushed past him and walked out. She knew she had to bring Jason to talk to that dick one day. Who does he think he is telling her that her opinion didnt matter because she was a woman?
She closed the door behind her as she left the room. If she had to walk by she was going to make sure she didnt have to see him. She was aware that there was a high chance that she was going to get a refferral for her actions but she didnt care, though Jason would once she explained it he might be less mad at her and the deans may even discard it after she explained it. But hey whatever that was over and done with now. She was glad school was out and she could go home or go to Logan's but shed ask him first. Actually she was supposed to hang out with Logan today, it was planned since last week. She smiled remembering it and walking down the hall. She headed for her locker to get her stuff so she could go be with Lopgan as soon as possible.
Once at her locker she put her history book and notebook in and grabbed out The Taming of the Shrew for English and her notebook for math as well. She put them both in her back and closed her locker, ready to leave. She locked the lock and looked through her purse for her phone and found it. She pulled it out and began to walk. She pushed Logan's speed dial number and was about to push send when she ran into someone and fell backward, dropping her phone. She grabbed her phone and stood up, brushed herself and was about to apologize but got a loss of words when she saw who it was.

Isobel had just left science - a compulsorary class, or she would never have taken it - and was the last one, as always. She was never forced to saty behind to get told off by the teacher, not even to be completemented on a previous assignment - something she could never see happening - but because she would always wait until the room was clear before she'd leave. Isobel hated getting trapped in the rush for the door, with all the other students who couldn't wait to get out of the classroom, but quickly slowed down again when they remembered they had another class they had to go to. So, she waited and quietly slipped out of the class with the straglers. Hardly anyone even noticed.
She hadn't bothered going to her locker, she didn't need anything that she didn't already have in her binder for her next class - creative writing - and she didn't care if she still had her science text book. Creative Writing was probably Isobel's favourite class. While she was growing up, Isobel had never been one to like to write or read, but over the year that had all changed. She had suddenly found a great love for the writen arts, and writing seemed to be the only way to let her emotions out. It was her refuge.
As she made her way to the class, head down, arms clinging binder and text book, Isobel tried to stay to the side. It was always much safer on the sides of the halls, rather than in the middle. But, that didn't seem to make a difference at the moment. Isobel ran into someone, as she sometimes - though rarely - did. She managed to keep her balance, though whoever she had run into did not. Isobel would have normally at least held her hand out to help the person up, apologize, and run off. But, when she was about to do just that, she suddenly realized who it was, and it was not a stranger, not close.
Piper was getting up, brushing herself off when their eyes met. Isobel was at complete loss of words. What should she say in such a possition? The two had been best friends, and now...now Piper won't even believe Isobel when she told her her most private secret. But, even after that, although it had left Isobel in a terrible possition, Isobel still dearly missed her friend. Still wished things could go back to the way they were. But it now seemed impossible.
Isobel opened her mouth, ready to apologize, but nothing came out. She was like a fish with a gaping mouth, trying to breath, but not finding the oxygene she needed. She wanted to turn around and to run away. She wanted to leave the girl who had left her when she was hurt. The girl who had, in her absence, watched her break. But, Isobel's feet would not move, she was glued to the spot.

Piper looked at Isobel, her ex best friend, suprised she hadnt yet apologized nor ran away. Piper was suprised more that Isobel even stood there not moving her eyes from hers, usually Isobel wouldve at least looked away. Piper didnt know what to do in such an uncomfortable confrontation, so she smiled. She always smiled when in doubt about what she should do. She opened her mouth to say 'hi' or 'sorry' or something but at that moment her phone began to ring, it was Logan. And she was sure Isobel could see the picture and the name on the front cover of her phone. She guessed she did in fact hit the send button when she fell. She smiled as she looked at the phone then remembered who was right there so she clicked the ignore button, just as she did when she was out with Jase.
She put her phone away as she heard the ringer silence as the caller on the other line went to voicemail. She looked back at Isobel feeling rather bad knowing that the girl obviously didnt like Logan or didnt want Piper to be happy or something like that. It seemed she was a bit like Jase just not as close and not as protective. She smiled at the girl once more and began to open her mouth once more to speak but still nothing came out. She actually began to studder somehting out "Im... Im" she sighed hoping she could actually finish her apology.
"Well, Im... well sorry." she continued it wasnt a real apology if you didnt say what you were sorry for. "Im sorry for running into you I guess I shouldve been watching where I was going." she finally got out of her wordstriken mouth. "I hope youre okay." she added to the apology, she really did need to pay more attention when walking through the hallways. She stood there waiting to see if Isobel would say something because she did miss having her as a friend.

Isobel barely heared Piper's apology, she wasn't really listening. No, Isobel was in too much shock to do that. It was an odd thing - shock - something that controlled her so often now. It left her feelings weak and wobly, dead and immobile, all at the same time. Emotions would flood her quickly, so many different ones at the same time, then there would be nothing. An empty void, a shell of life. It was all Isobel could do at times to keep her eyes open, while at others she hardly felt the tears. At the moment she feared the later was happening, but when she brought her hand to her face, quickly wiping it over, she didn't feel the salty tears. No, but she did break the sudden trance.
Reality crashed down on Isobel, and she quickly moved her face away from Piper. She was embarassed, for running into her, for what she did. And yet, she was so very angry at the same time, it was the only thing that kept her standing there. Her anger kept her routed in place, her lip between her teeth, being squeezed until blood leaked from the pale object. Then, Piper's words, her apology finally hit Isobel. She turned her head back slowly, unsure if it had actually happened, or if this all was just a delusion created by her mind. However, she decided to take a chance and reply. People already thought she was crazy enough, what did it matter if they were right?
"I didn't see anyone coming." Isobel gave as an apology. It wasn't that she felt she had too much pride to apologize to Piper, but that Piper had already said the real words, it seemed giving an explanation was all that was left to do. She looked at Piper, remembering how her friend had treated her. Remembering how hurt her friend had left her. It seemed the memories of pain had consumed her over the year. "You should call that person back." she added, bitterly. She hadn't seen who had called, having been in her own world at the time, but thoughts of Logon came up in her mind.

Piper didnt really expect Isobel to say anything back their relationship had definately turned sour. Especially after she started dating Logan and that whole fight occurred. She really hated that it did end so badly but not all good things last forever. Piper still never understood why Isobel couldnt have just let her be but maybe she was telling the truth, maybe she was trying to save some hurt for her friend, but it wasnt surely true. Isobel was always by herself now so oyu never knew what she was thinking anymore.
Piper smiled as she said something back, it couldnt really be counted as an apology but hey Piper wasnt going to rag on her for that, like really for godsakes the girl barely ever said a thing and Piper wasnt one to be totally mean to anyone. Piper looked down to her bag where her phone was and shrugged "Yeah well I can call them whenever." she said looking back over at Isobel smiling.
She did really feel bad for running into her and since it was lunch time she wanted to make it up to her. "Well I feel really bad for running into you so.." she paused trying to think of what words would come next "Umm... well I we could get lunch together." she didnt mind that her friends probably wouldnt be too happy with her talking to Isobel but hey she felt bad and she missed the girl as her friend.

Although Isobel didn't feel like it, she couldn't help but let a little smile creep onto her face when Piper disregarded her phone call. And to do nothing else but talk to her. The idea that perhaps it hadn't been Logon who had called, and someone Piper didn't even want to talk to, however, ended her happy moment. Though she still felt better than she had in a while. Though, what Piper next said made Isobel feel even better, which was a strange occurence in the past year. Maybe she still wanted to be friends? Perhaps their friendship wasn't a lost cause. It was what Isobel had always liked to believe, though assumed impossible. And, even after all the hurt she had been through, Isobel was still naive enough to think that just maybe things could turn out alright.
"Well...umm...if you want." Isobel muttered. She wasn't completely sure what to say, and she wasn't even sure if it would be for the best. Would she have to go hang out with Piper and her new friends? Because then she would probably just leave. It would be much too awkward. And would she be expected to change back to her old self? It wasn't something that she didn't want to do, Isobel remembered the old days as happy times, it's just something she didn't think possible.

Piper smiled as she accepted the invite. She had thought she wouldnt have because of how mean Piper truly was to her but still maybe there was some hopes of reviving their friendship. But who really knew anymore she wasnt going to break up with Logan for that to happen and she wasnt going to ignore him all of the time either like she had just done for Isobel. But she hadnt talked to the girl in a long time since their fight over him and such. But hey things seemed to be loking brighter. She did miss he girl that was for sure.
"Yes I do." she said with a big grin as she looked through her bag for her wallet after several seconds of looking she found it and pulled it out looking to Isobel. "Ready?" she asked as she looked in her wallet. "Lunch is on me." she added to her question because she was polite to everyone when she did something wrong or in this case when she missed her best friend. "And we dont need to talk to my friends cause I know that would be akward." she said that too because she knew that it wouldnt only be akward for Isobel but also for her.
