Well its that time of year again. now this year the prize is a bird gym and a bird toy the winner gets to choose the gym size it comes in tiel or budgie. but im sorry you cant choose the toy becuse not every petco has the same but here is the gym of choice.

Isn't this supposed to be a choice among all the winning photos from the previous year? I thought that's how it was done in the past.

well it might of been, but i thought we would make it fair to every one to only beable to enter one....... if you have a real probelm with it email me or msg me on msn. goinuyashago@hotmail.com i just think in the long run this will work better becuse if we get alot of members and say one person wins most of the time and another few only win once then that person who won most will probably win becuse they have alot more.... let me think this over

I agree that it makes sense to have all the winners for the year in the contest. We all have the same opportunity to enter every month except for the people who don't have a camera or who don't have a way to put their pictures online - they're screwed! But other than that, it looks to me like the people who win the most are the people who enter the most. They might also be the ones who take the most pictures, which increases the odds of getting a great shot. I have hundreds to choose from myself, and Bea must have thousands!

I think it makes it more interesting to have all the winners in the contest - it means we get to see all of them again! Unfortunately it also increases the odds of a six-way tie, but you can take care of that with your 'names in a hat' magic. If it comes to that, I have no problem with putting everyone's name in just once even though they might have more than one picture in the tie.

yeah, i geuss i just dont use my camera much.... hehe i should but i usully too tired or busy to take pictures...

Okay, I guess I don't really understand the purpose of the contest - I thought it was to pick the best photo of the year. Ann probably isn't going to want the prize since she doesn't currently have any birds, but she'd probably enjoy having the honor. I don't really want the prize either since I have enough stuff already, and if I won I was going to tell you to not bother or to give it to someone else. If wanting the prize is important then I guess I'd better withdraw.

that is your choice, the point of this contest if for thous who choose to enter that won pc's can enter and win a prize and if they choose to enter and win and want to give the prize to some one else that is also fine. so if you dont want the prize but you still want the title then thats fine too. i know ann dosent got birds but if she wants to enter she has to do it her self. thats the way it has always been ran. bea won last year. if you win and want to give it to another member or even some one whos not on the forum that is fine also

so do you get the point? the point is not to get the prize thats a bonus and optional. the point is to get the title. but the person has to enter them selves or ask a staff member to do. so do you want to be in it or not? its up to you i can give the prize to some one of your choice or another member of your choice if you win.

Leave my pictures in I guess, I don't want to drive any more nails into the group's coffin. But I'm not happy with the idea of Ann possibly being excluded. Has anybody PM'd her to make sure she knows this is going on? I'd be happy to do it, but I don't want to bug her with redundant messages if it's already been done.
