The first thing that came to mind was new. Lucian lay beneath the shade of a large tree in complete solitude and pondered over everything that ever was. This spot he lay in now was not "new" he had occupied this spot many times since his birth, a precious sanctuary he himself had discovered at the age of 10 months. There had always been the quiet murmur of water and the streaming light from the stars above, day or night. And above all else there had always been controversy.

He shifted his weight slighty to rest even more so against the rough bark and closed his eyes in thought. Wasn't it a controversial subject, the relocation of a family? The pain of separation that had been the many stories passed along from his ancestors? His fondest memories when younger had been the numerous gatherings in which history was re-told. Back than he had assumed that the triumph as well as the shredding terror had been all imaginary. But he came to find that everything had been truth.

By no means was he bitter, he actually was quite thankful for the change. It just remained etched in his mind about what could've been. He himself could have obtained the title of Phocaeas. Not that he wished to be so now, it just would've been a trip to be that leader that everyone loved because of his understanding ways. His smiled gently towards the sky, yeah it would be wonderful to experiance those sort of things. But this here, right now, was all he could wish for.

Shato's boredom was on the rise, and her hunt for entertainment or simple interaction with others was becoming more acutely focused. Since meeting Shakespeare and a female named Drama, Shato had done very little to encourage her inner social butterfly. Not to say that she was entirely upset by this, because she was certainly not the neighborly type. It just felt like the days were slowly but surely melding together to form one boring, indistinct life, without surprises or adventures, friends or enemies. Enemies! She needed a few of those.

Regardless, Shato had not intentionally begun the day looking for potential contenders and foes. In fact, she had hoped to escape another day without crossing paths with another wolf. Her desire to collaborate was not too terribly dire yet, and with any luck she wouldn't have to initiate a very deep and resounding heart-to-heart with anyone any time soon, that is, if such a feat was even possible for the young Cybeles. She had horrible luck however, and her dastardly plan to continue the unhealthy exercise of solitary confinement was about to be squashed. She caught the stranger's scent a bit too late to pursue the art of caution and high-tail it out of there.

The heave of her shoulders and exaggerated sigh said it all as she approached, and suddenly her attitude dimmed. She was cursed - plain and simple. Still, meeting someone new didn't have to be a total loss. Shato could certainly make up for the adventures she was missing, so long as the new wolf was the least bit exciting. And not only that, but the stranger's smell tickled her memory and made her think vaguely of home - Venteux Ridge. It was possible that she could have bumped into a member she had not yet met. "Hola Wolf-o

"I know we haven't met before, but you smell familiar. Venteux Ridge by any chance? Or should I run away now before I make myself-" 'or you' "-out to be a fool?" Wow, she felt talkative today. Shato figured that was more words to this stranger than in most of her previous conversation with Shakespeare or Drama. Her lips pulled back in a half smile as she trotted up toward Lucian, pausing just a few feet away.
