Kihoumori is a literate roleplaying website where, instead of playing as trainers, you play as Pokémon! You may wander around the highlands and forests, make alliances, claim a territory, find a mate, and more. We have a lot of species avaliable, and friendly staff. If you're looking for a literate Pokémon site that's a bit different from the rest, look no further. Join Kihoumori today! |
Winter In the highlands, icy gales rock the trees. Temperate forests and meadows are coated in snow and a bit warmer. Some water sources are frozen up, and a few species of Pokémon are tucked away for the winter. |

All attacks must be an attempt, since it is powerplaying assuming the other character will not dodge. You can say that you aimed a leap, or an Ice beam, or whatever at the opponent.
On the subject of dodging, you can only do a little of it. Remember that some attacks, like Faint Attack or Aerial Ace, never miss. Dodging constantly is godmodding. It's fine if you dodge Zap Cannon, Sheer Cold, etc. quite a few times. You must agree yourselves who will be the winner of the fight. If it keeps going on and on an administrator will judge it for you based on the number of injuries / attacks. I think that it is dumb that people judge it for roleplaying style, meaning that one can win when they're half dead and the other loses because of a couple of bruises. Some people say they have a problem with long posts in fighting. I personally think that if you are a good roleplayer this should not be the case! However, I guess I will have to change the number of words ... The minimum for fight posts will be 50. It would be easy to do more, if you explain the emotions, the dodging / being hit, and the actual attack. Throw in some dialogue if you need to. Don't kill another person's character without their permission. If you must, attempt a lunge at the throat or something similar, and have the other decide if they die or not. It doesn't have to be a "wild" biting, scratching fight, and you can use attacks like Thunder, Water Pulse, etc. Keep in mind that these won't kill the other character and will only faint them, like in the games. Keep in mind weaknesses and resistance. If your Charizard is seen standing after getting hit by fifty Rock Slides, then you'll get a warning ... just try to be realistic and don't be afraid to lose a fight. As for attacks, you can start out with any of that Pokémon's egg moves, or moves it learns via TM or HM. Learned moves will be learned at that level. You gain one level for every ten posts that you make in IC. It's up to you to keep track of those levels, so put the information in your signature if you can. For every fight that you win you gain another level. For leveling-up evolutions, you are allowed to evolve at the time that you gain the level, obviously. For special stone evolutions (like Pikachu -Thunder Stone-> Raichu) you can go into one of the gem caverns and pick one out. Trade evolutions or trade evolutions using items can be switched around so that they evolve at a certain level, at around forty-five to fifty. Friendship evolutions can be replaced by stone evolutions. Any questions can be answered by PM'ing me. -------------------- "The ocean calls to me, Aiyanna. I must listen to it, and I must stay here.
