Well, it has been a very long time but it certainly time to move forward with the business of KCW.
I wasn’t terribly disappointed with the January show. All things considered, I was happy enough. That was a terrible storm that night and we still drew enough to cover costs. The guys that made it worked very hard and gave a good show to a crowd that was very cold and were not very vocal.
The March show was great. The crowd was solid and much more vocal. It makes it a lot better for us as performers to get a reaction. The guys and girls did a great job. We have incorporated a more physical style and plenty of guys have taken to it well. I thought every match was good but, Sebas/Lenny, Brock/Squig and McGrath/Valentine really stepped it up on the physical end.
I left the Xander/Dave match out on purpose. This was certainly the match of the night with incredible action. They showed just how good they are when after a one year lay off, they were able to tear down the house. Its sad to see an end to Dave’s wrestling days. He has truly been one of the very best KCW has ever produced. He is certainly one of the most popular guys on the roster and as evident at the last show, one of the best. I hope some day he returns but, I wouldn’t count on it. So many guys that left that I expected back, never did. From my own expectations, I thought these guys would return; Matt Vandal, Big Zeek, Mansun, Flash and Trevor Michaels…you can see how that turned out.
I’m not sure we will ever do as well in Tyrone as we did in Altoona. We’ll work hard at it though so, never say never.
The next show is shaping up very well. I like the way things are going. The Diggler/Lerusso/Hippie/Morgan story will be interesting if people have patience to enjoy it. Brock vs. McGrath could be great as well as Xander vs. Valentine.
It’s my understanding that Jeremy is working on building an all new website for us. I have no doubt that it will be great. As often as Jeremy has reworked this site, it has never disappointed.
Thanks for reading and we’ll see you on May 2nd. Have a KCW Day.
