Little Jimmy 1 was started in March 2007 and Little Jimmy 2 followed in May 2008 under these rules. The Admin have the right to change or update these rules if we feel we need to for the good of the rpg. We would like to promote a friendly family-like rpg and we hope that you will respect our wishes. Thank you.



Registration

Read the information: To get the best experience at Little Jimmy please be sure that you have read all the information about the site.

Name: Register with your character’s first and last name. If you made a mistake, please pm an admin so we can change it for you. We will be happy to help you.

Posting an application: After you register you have 7 days to post a complete application. If that does not happen an admin will delete your application and your account. If you need more time, please pm an admin or mod

Unacceptable: We do not wish to see anyone join just because they want to:
a ) recruit members to their own site
b ) be a lurker and never post
c ) harass or stalk a member of the site
d ) join for cyber sex
e ) join to complain


An admin has the right to deny a member, if that member continues to join and then leave a few weeks later. IE. If you have joined 2-3 times and have failed to keep active, we have the right to deny you membership for the third or fourth time. Do not join if you do not have time or if LJ is your lowest priority in the world.

Applications

Accepting: The admins have a lot of work, so be patient when waiting for your application to be accepted. Do NOT harass an admin or mod about applications. The admins will do it as quickly as possible. Mods are allowed to read and give comments to applications, but cannot accept an application.

Changes: If an admin asks you to change something in your application or add something, please do so. You’re off course allowed to ask questions, but most of the things that admins will ask for are concerning contradictions or an expansion here and there. If one admin has asked you to change something through a pm, please do not pm another admin and ask him/her to accept your application. Staff also cannot accept their own applications; they must be accepted and reviewed by another staff members.

Banned/Wanted: There is a list of banned characters and wanted characters. We want a site with diversity and variety, so please do not make 5 seinor White Hands, who are all female or something along those lines. We expect out members to contribute with diversity.

Title: When posting your application, please let the topic title be "SURNAME, First name" and the description "lifer/hta . grade . clique" or if you're joining an adult "class . job . alliance". Alliance = neutral/WH/Outlaw.

Please do not post anywhere before you have been accepted. Exceptions to this rule are the questions and introductions forums. Thank you.

Characters

Rich characters: Most people in small towns are not rich, so few rich Little Jimmy Lifers will be accepted. Please keep this in mind when roleplaying – if your teenage character comes from a middle class family, has four siblings and no job it makes very little sense that he/she can always afford to go out all the time, buy designer clothes and has his/her own truck. Personally I would love to see a character that sleeps on a mattress on the floor and lives off cup noodles.

Add flaws: In real life everyone has flaws. The same applies on this site. Every single character must have some flaws, everyone has a weakness whether they want to admit it or not.

Character limit: We have the limit of five characters per player on this rpg. If you need to play more than five characters please pm an admin and he/she will evaluate whether you should be allowed to have more characters.
Also, don't join three new characters at the same time. Get active with one character before joining a new one.

Diversity: It has been mentioned before but I cannot stress this enough. We don’t want to force you to play a certain amount of male/female characters. But when making a new character keep in mind that variety makes everything more fun for everyone. No one thinks it’s fun to roleplay on a site with too many females and no males, so keep that in mind before making your third female character.

Small town, Texas: When creating a character and choosing a pb please consider the place where the roleplay is set – a small town in Texas. Emo/scene kids/Goths are rarely seen in towns like Little Jimmy unless she/he is an HTA-student. Lifers live and work at ranches and farms – so mostly they will wear clothes that are practical and there is probably not a Chanel-store just around the corner. There are no record-companies or movie-sets, it's not Hollywood or Las Vegas. It's a small town.

Point of view: We ask all our members to write in third person and past tense point of view. It makes it easier to understand and a better read.

Roleplaying

Literate: Little Jimmy is a literate RPG. This means that we expect our members to have a basic knowledge of roleplaying, grammar, spelling, punctuation and are able to write quality posts that are interesting to read and not difficult to reply to.

Activity: is a must for a board to work.
Administrators will sweep through the board and archive all threads that haven't been active in twenty days or more. If a member asks for the thread to be unarchived so they can continue role playing an Administrator or Mod can always move it back. We're not asking for you to stay logged in and posted 24/7. We all have other things to do with our day. But, part of registering on the board and having a character is a responsibility to some degree of activeness.

If you're going to be a away, just let us know in the absences thread. As well as, if you want to delete your character and no longer participate in our world, that is also fine, just please let the people you have threads/plots with know as well as the admins.

After a certain period of time of inactivity, say one month, without letting the staff know about your absence, the character will be deleted/replaced. Do not expect the admins to contact you before deleting your character.

Get involved: Every single member is an important part of Little Jimmy. As a member of the Little Jimmy family you are expected to help new family members to feel welcome. We want our members to get involved, so they can have influence on the plot, make friends and have every right to complain or suggest things to the admins.
The goal of this site is to have an open community where everyone is a respected and plays an integral role, and the admins expects everyone to participate in reaching this goal.

Contribution: All members of LJ are welcome to arrange events and contribuate to the plot with suggestions. We would love to see members arrange parties, debates, clubs, sport events and whatever you can think of. Especially If in doubt about anything feel free to pm an admin. Before arranging a major event that will affect the site-plot a lot please contact an admin.

Misc.

Rating: This site is rated “R” for racism, sex, drugs, etc. If your character is doing or having sexual acts please post “R” in the title so those who don’t want to read it can avoid it. Please, refrain from porn style sex threads. It’s disgusting. If you are going to have sexual acts in your post, please follow the romance style <3

Godmodding: No godmodding or powerplaying. You will get three warnings before you are out. This means you may not “know” something about a character’s life even if you read it in the post or application. That is mindreading, a form of powerplaying.

Open community: LJ expects to have a warm family environment. If you are caught be harassing another member, you will be warned. If you are caught harassing another member repeatedly or multiple members your character will be deleted.

OOC drama: Leave the dramatics for the roleplaying, please. Do. not. argue in the c-box. Do. not. argue the OOC forum. There will be no arguing of a public matter, if you have issues with someone please contact the person through pm or messenger. Do not ruin the friendly atmosphere of this site with your personal issues. Do not continuously talk bad about another person behind his/her back. If you are not able to resolve the problem yourself please contact an admin.
