Character's Full Name: Tempus Pulchre Fugit (Tem-pas, Pull-kri, Foo-jit)
Gender: Male Age: 21 Birthdate: July 2, 2362 Zodiac: Cancer Race: Magerath/ Covert Hybrid: Feline Allegiance: Neutral Home Planet: Mars Physical Appearance: standing at 5’5”, Tempus is what you would call ‘Short’. He makes up for this however, by being extremely well built. He is not extremely muscular; he chooses to have small dense muscles and be extremely well toned rather than have bulky, slow huge muscles that are completely useless in a fight. Due to his hybrid qualities, his eyes are a magnificent blue colour, with dark black slits for pupils. He lacks the tail and ears more prominent of a feline hybrid, retaining the elfin like ears of the Magerath. His silver hair is one of his most prominent features, it is of somewhat medium length, hanging not so much in his eyes that it hinders his vision, but enough that it bothers him enough to keep it swept to one side. Besides his eyes, his posture is the only other thing that reveals his felinity; he always seem to position himself with ‘cat-like’ demeanor. He’s usually found wearing a tight t-shirt and a pair of semi-tight jeans; though he does sometime indulge and wear a long scholars robe, which he likes to swirl around because he finds it amazingly cool looking. Psionic Affinity: Yes Personality: Tempus is a very out-going person; he is always trying making more friends. He is good-natured, and believes in always doing the correct thing. He has a very strong sense of ‘right’, and will stick up for it on any occasion. Because of this quality, he has started fights with many unlawful people, even when the situation is against him. He does not accept failure in his life to the point that him failing has become a rare occurrence, whenever he wants to accomplish something, he puts all of his effort into it until it is completed. This extends to fighting as well, he will not give up until he has won, no matter what the odds or injuries; he either dies…or wins. Background/History: Tempus Fugit Pulchre literally translates from Latin into “Time flies beautifully”. He was found by an old Magerath scholar who lived in mars to study and write about the many different people that inhabited the colonized universe. It was only by happen chance that the scholar found him; he had been obviously abandoned by his mother, and if the scholar hadn’t chosen to take a different route that day, he would have never seen the baby that would become Tempus lying just outside of an alleyway between two apartments. The scholar instantly accepted the boy into his home; and did not once question his decision even after he realized that he was a hybrid. Though the reason for his abandonment had never been revealed to Tempus, the scholar had researched into it and found out that his mother was a scientist on mars, and that she used her own child in an attempt to create a perfectly covert hybrid, though she failed; as he still retained the cat-like eyes. His namesake came from the words etched onto a dog tag like bracelet, and being the only information the scholar had on the boy, and decided it was a fittingly obscure name for a very obscure entry into the world, that boy became Tempus Fugit Pulchre. Having no other children, the scholar raised Tempus as if he was his own. He taught Tempus everything he had learned over his life, and everything Tempus believes in came from that man. He lived an incredible life of study, it became clear to the man that Tempus was naturally talented with the psionic arts, and he taught him everything he could about them. At a young age Tempus realized the importance of balancing the mind and the body, and he was enrolled in martial arts training, where he showed much prowess and earned rank very quickly due to his cat like agility and precision. The old scholar died when Tempus was 17, though he left him with all of his knowledge and wisdom, and while Tempus mourned his death; he had learned not to dwell on it and moved on, though he still thanks the scholar for what he did every night before he sleeps. Tempus now lives in mars’ 4th sector, working as a part time martial arts instructor, but mainly holds a job as a mercenary type bodyguard, in other words, he gets paid to protect people for a certain amount of time, or until a certain goal is accomplished. Due to his scrutiny of picking clientele, (he only accepts people who are good natured and really need it.) He generally has to rely on his instructing more often than not. He plans to eventually buy his own ship and continue the scholar’s dream of studying the many different races, and is saving up every penny he gets; spending only on the necessities. Profession/Job: Scholar (though he makes no money at it yet)/Martial arts instructor/ paid mercenary type-bodyguard. Stats: Strength- Average Endurance- Above average Intelligence- Brilliant Agility- Athlete Psionics- Skilled Fighting Ability- Accomplished Skills: Psionic skills: Displacement: This was one of the first things that the scholar taught him how to do, not specifically for fighting, but to run errands much quicker. However, Tempus found out how to use this in a fight very early into his training, and is proficient in it enough to be able to use it in rapid succession, so that he almost seems to be in multiple places at one time. Parakinesis: The scholar taught him this technique to be used as a last resort during a fight, to be used against your actual opponent, instead of inanimate objects, as a means of ending the fight before it got out of hand, he has trained it to the point that if he touches the opponent at all, he can manipulate them in any way, though some may able to resist if they have a strong enough mind. Claircognizance: the scholar did not teach him this ability; it seems like it stemmed from his feline nature. It has been naturally trained over his life, though not extremely skilled at it, he is able to easily sense when things are about to happen to him. Combat Skills: Martial arts training: Tae Kwon Do: He has trained since he was a young boy; he is skilled enough to teach it to others, but not enough to be truly considered a sensei. Hapkido: He has been learning this in conjunction with Tae Kwon Do, and is just as skilled in it. Non-Combat skills: *Ambidexterity: The scholar taught him how when he was very young, he can write both handed, and also use most weapons with both hands. [u]Cooking: He used to cook for the old man…and the food was good. Read Lips: He’s a people watcher; it’s a talent you develop. Speed running: he’s part cat…. Acrobatic: part…..cat….. Items: The bracelet he has around his wrist, and a blue glowstone that he always keeps in one of his pockets are the only items he is known to have with him at all times Weapons: The only weapon he carries on him is a dagger that he keeps sheathed sideways on the back of his pants. Preferring physical combat, he only uses it when he desperately needs to. |
