i was born and raised on the island of kauai. when i was young i lived in an old house not far from the public school in kapa'a. some would say i have a vivid imagination, however, i believe there's more to this story than just that.
my brother and i slept in seperate rooms, although i still had a bunk-bed from earlier times. i ALWAYS slept on the top, you know kids and the "things" under the bed. as you can tell i WAS Imaginative... but, one night, my mother heard me talking and laughing away in my room with the door half way closed. it was well past my bed time so she got up to see what i was up to. when she peeped in, there was nothing. just me, sitting on top my bed looking straight at her. "what are you doing in here, jillian"? she asked. i looked at her, "im talking to lani mommy, cant you see that"? i replied. she seemed a bit confused. she paused for a moment, as if trying to comprehend what i just said thinking it was an imaginary friend she replied, "ok... well, tell your friend you have to go to bed." she said finally. i got angry and started to yell, " I TOLD HER MOM! Lani keeps waking me up! she crawls across me and wakes me up every time! the next night was a little different. she then appered in my brothers room. he claims he saw a shadow of a little girl standing next to his bed. assuming it was me he said, "Jillian, go to bed." the figure just stood there. he then sat up and said firmly and a little louder, "Jillian! go to bed"! the figure didnt budge. finally, he stood up and yelled at the figure, JILLIAN! i told you to go to bed"! by this time i could hear him from my room and said, "...but i am in bed"! just as i was saying that he was grabbing for the figure thinking he was grabbing my arm and... it went right through! the figure just vanished after that. startled, my brother fell backwards to the floor and scrambled to his feet as fast as he could and ran to my mothers room to tell her what happened. after that night there were more experiences. eventually we moved out of that house, and by then i had stopped seeing my "friend", but everyone in the house has their own story to tell even visitors and guests we had over had strange things to talk about the next morning. i guess my "imaginary" friend isn't so imaginary after all. |
