Question's

1. How often do I have to wear the uniform?
You are to wear the uniforms every Wednesday (different depending on your school).


2. What are the requirements to be in JROTC?
Cadet must be a high school student with no serious medical problems, and making satisfactory progress in school.


3. What's the reporting procedures?
Sir/Ma'am, Cadet (rank and last name), _________ Grade, LET ________, ________ Company, ________ Platoon, ________Squad.


4. How can I join JROTC?
Talk to your consoler for a schedule change if your school has a JROTC program.


5. What's the hair style?
For males: you should be shaved and short to no hair on the sides of your head, and short hair on top.
For female: you should have hair no longer than the collar of you shirt, or have you hair in a bun with matching hair-band.(Check with your school for more information).


6. Do you do any physical activities?
Yes, We do Physical Training every Friday (different depending on your school). We also have a PT and a Ranger team for those who want more intensive exercises.


7. If I join JROTC do I have any obligation to the military?
No, JROTC is just like any of your other classes except we wear uniforms. It is your choice whether or not you want to join the military.


8. Do I have to pay for my uniform?
No, uniforms are issued by the program. However, if a cadet loses or destroys an issued item, they must pay for it.


9. How much money do I have to pay to join JROTC?
JROTC is completely free of charge to any high school student. It is funded by the Department of Defense and the local school district. Some activities like the Military Ball and teams do require cadets to pay for it. However, fundraisers reduce a large portion of these expenses.
