Stephen sighed as he was walking around the beach. He let the breeze hit his face moving his hair around a bit. His hands in his pockets as he stood in a spot looking out into the water. It was a fairly nice day despite it being so windy and everything. The sun was close to setting. Sitting down he watched it. The sky was amazing to him. He enjoyed days like this. Leaning back he closed his eyes as he heard the birds off in the distance. Re-opening his eyes he looked at the sunset some more.

Reaching into his pocket he took out a flask and began to drink from it. Sighing he needed a drink whenever possible. He had a bad drinking problem. He would drink everyday until he was stinking drunk. He would pass out not remembering anything but that didn't really bother him at all. He just didn't care.

Why was she at the beach alone? None of her friends were with her, the sun was setting and it was a bit windy out. Not many people seemed to still be at the beach; the sun was going down, so they couldn’t sunbathe and it was getting dark, which meant it was unsafe to swim in the water. All there was to do was to watch the sun set, and once it set, it’d be dark. No matter, a bare-footed blonde walked along the beach’s sand, hoping not to step on some glass or something. The girl wore a white bikini, white short shorts and a big black and white striped knitted shirt. Her hair was left down and was blowing a bit, but the girl seemed not to care.

As she walked along the soft sand, she felt a sharp pain on the bottom of her foot. Lifting her foot, she found a shell that she had stepped on. Good thing she hadn’t cut her foot. Onward she walked, until she spotted someone in the distance. No one else was around, so she decided to head over to the mysterious person. As she got close, she recognized it w some kid from her school. What was his name again? Stewart? Seth? Ste-? She wasn’t sure. “Hey,” she said in a soft voice, to the young guy. “What are you doin’ here all alone?” She asked and then noticed the flask the boy was drinking out of. “Mind I sit down here?” She asked and before he could answer, she plopped her bottom down on the sand across from him.
