Well I thought I'd ask a few questions now:

I am mini less right now, but am going to buy a new 1 in the next few months

I can afford up to about 16K with finance + deposit, so is it better to buy brand new or a few yrs older so I can get more accessories etc.

ok, well basicaly if you buy a brank new one, it will loose about 20% of its value as soon as you drive it out of the showroom! (which is pretty good, most cars loose about 30or40%)

But put it this way...
At list price you'll be spending your full 16k on a new Mini with basic spec, then you'll have to stump up for insurance on top of that! However, if you buy one thats maybe to or 3years old, you'll be paying around 10k and you can find one to the specification you want anyway as there are plenty of them! this would leave you with a bit more left over cash for insurance and maybe for a few mods or extras... like some new wheels maybe?!

I bought mine about to years ago this month with 45xxx miles. The sticker was 14, 500 but that included everything, out the door. As far as insurance, I only pay $110 a month so it's not bad at all. :drive:
