Well gang, it's time for you all to know my secert under-workings... [face_mischief]

While many of you may or may not have noticed. Within the header is a big banner stating, "New, For Free, Smartdots, www.YOURNAME.net.tc"

This is not a banner placed up by InvisionFree.com. It is one I placed up there. With this banner, comes a new era for these forums. I am proud to present to you, our new web address: www.galacticportal.net.tc[face_cool]

We (The Administration) ask that you from now on use this URL. As so that we may moniter the hits we get per day. You may still use the other URL, http://s6.invisionfree.com/Galactic_Portal/index.php?act=idx. However, it will help the Administration, nor the site any by doing so... [face_sad]

What do you mean? You ask?

Well, with this new domain name, which I have re-directed to our forums. We have the ability to be listed under "Googles" search engines. As well, others around the net. And, with each hit, it gets us closer to our "frontpage" debut [face_wink] [face_tongue] .

So, please, keep these things into consideration. And, pass word about these forums along. We've been blessed to have such an awesome group of users. And, anticipate recieving more as the year progresses [face_happy] .

ummm why??? I think you can just put meta tags in cant you? I think google reads them

Well, I always wanted a unique URL. As it was, presently, I was reasearching other IF boards use of this. And, I have seen nothing that would cause them to think bad against it. And, IF has no problem with it. So, I went ahead and placed us in. Yes, we could've entered the Meta tags ourselves. But, this program generated the coding for me. Rather then typing it all by hand [face_wink] . A BIG PLUS! [face_tongue]

Well, I did it again, and I altered our website URL. It is now, "www.boards.galacticportal.net.tc/" Now, if you wish to see leia's site, you can do so by it's new re-directed URL: "www.galacticportal.net.tc/" [face_wink] . It also seems to load quicker. And, without any problems, unlike before. So, I highly suggest you all use it. As, it's been a help to me to see how many of you log in here. And, under what browser. As it stands, we have almost half of you under Windows XP [face_tongue] . Naughty! [face_laugh]

Hey :p I use XP home its brilliant... any you see of me on 98 is the school computers :p now upgrading to 2000 woot... I dont see why they didnt upgrade to XP anyways I didnt think meta tags were that hard to code :)

Hey, I cannot help it. I figured though it was best for now to use that type of URL. As our website should be the only actual form of "www.galacticportal.net.tc/" [face_wink]

Also, I should warn you...the URL at times, though you are logged it, it will log you out automatically. So, just be aware. It's not my fault, but Tom's! [face_tongue]
