Title: Interview With Jeremy Johnson

Fame&Fortune - May 23, 2007 12:31 AM (GMT)
I was thinking of doing this as a third ppv RP, but I couldn't think of anything else to go with it. So if I do a third RP for the ppv, it'll obviously be something else, but I did want to post this to wrap up the Childhood story arc.

The camera feed opens inside the living room of the Boston, Massachusetts home of Angelica “Firestar” McBride, the reigning GDW World Heavyweight Champion. Angelica is seated on the sofa with her husband Sean McBride next to her. Angelica is dressed in a floral print ankle length yellow skirt, and a white button up blouse. Her long dark hair is left to flow down to below her shoulders. She has the GDW World Heavyweight title belt sitting on her lap. Seated across from her and Sean in a chair is GDW reporter Jeremy Johnson.

“First of all, I would like to thank you for granting me this time, Mrs. McBride.”

Angelica gives an uneasy but pleasant smile “No prob, Jeremy.”

“I’m sure your friends, your family, and all of the GDW fans can agree that we were all worried sick about you ever since you got kidnapped last week. Some at GDW have even raised the question of the safety at the GDW arenas, since you were kidnapped AT an event. So before we get into any real details of what happened, can you address that issue for a quick moment?”

“Sure, I’d be glad to. As much as I despise Mike Michaels and the way he runs things at GDW, in his defense there is nothing security-wise he could have done to have prevented that kidnapping from happening. Vincent Andrews never had a prior criminal record or a history of mental illness. Add to that the fact that he was my best friend, that we grew up together, and there is no real reason for a red flag to be raised simply because he’s walking around backstage, or even carrying me to a car.”

“You see, Angel and I had a bit of an argument. It was well documented because I stormed out of the place and what few people were left saw how angry I looked. I never should have left and I am deeply regretful. But you can see how people wouldn’t think it strange, then, to see Angelica, after we were in an argument and I left, for her to get a ride with that sicko Vincent.”

“Good point. Next question: I know the investigation is still ongoing and you may be under a gag order, but what can you say about the kidnapping? What happened?”

“I…….I……”
Angelica shakes her head. “Sorry, Jeremy, but Angel is still getting over the shock of it all. I mean, understand that this was her friend, her best friend, whom she thought she knew. You are right, we are under a gag order and we can’t say much. We can say that he is in federal custody and we expect to be convicted in a speedy trial and sent to a mental institution where he can get the help he deserves.”

“If I may ask, how has this experienced affected you, Angelica?”

“Well Jeremy, I’ve endured things like this before and everyone knows it. Oftentimes against my will, my own personal dirty laundry has been aired on live television and people know that at the age of thirteen I bore witness to my mother’s murder. Just last year my father was murdered. Last year my oldest daughter, Annabelle, was kidnapped and raped and, were it not for the brave actions of Blayze Alexander, would have been killed. And now this recent traumatic experience has happened. Traumatic experiences tend to change a person depending on how you respond to them. Once upon a time I responded in a negative way when I let my traumatic experiences get the best of me. At first I tried to commit suicide. Only later, when I entered professional wrestling, I responded to those same traumatic experiences by becoming a vengeful monster. I set people on fire inside the ring, I broke necks, I broke backs, I ended careers, and I loved every minute of it. Am I ashamed of what I did? Yes. Yes I am ashamed and I refuse to let this experience bring back that monster, that demon that I have thus far successfully repressed. So to answer your question, Jeremy, no, I have not been changed and I refuse to let it change me.”

“Well like I said, we are all glad to see you are safe. But now I have two more ‘business-related’ questions, since you are the champ. First of all, the first ever triple threat iron man match is coming up and you are set to defend against Trysta Allan and Steve Pinex. Will you be able to have enough time to train and to prepare for that and furthermore will you even be able to focus on that match especially after what you just endured?”

“Well Sean, myself, and the girls are going to catch a flight and head down to Sydney, Australia later this afternoon. But will I be ready? What did I just tell you, Jeremy? I refuse to let that kidnapping adversely affect me. I won’t let it change me. I’m not going to lose my focus. I’m not going to be an emotional wreck. I will be calm, cool, collected, and focused on defeated Trysta Allan and Steve Pinex and walking out of Telstra, Stadium STILL the GDW world heavyweight champion.”

“The second question is in regards to the newcomer to GDW, Aurora De’Viant, otherwise known as Carnal Sin. She has called you out and….”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah, I heard her calling me out, Jeremy. Her promo made me wonder if she was actually giving the GDW fans a Sunday School lesson or if she was actually talking about her match with Collette Kennedy.”
Sean McBride lets out a chuckle. Angelica, for her part, finds it difficult not to giggle a bit. “Oh I’m not one to talk, though. As one who has studied theology intensively at parochial school as a nun I know what she’s talking about and in a way I pity her, I pity her for embracing sin as she has. But its like I said, Jeremy, we all respond to life in different ways. I responded to my very difficult upbringing by becoming a monster but I have changed. Now I don’t know what all went on in Aurora’s life, and quite frankly its none of my business. All I need to worry about is the fact that I am the world champion and she wants to be world champion. Now I don’t back down from any challenge and I say to her that anytime she wants to back up her tough talk, let her step up to the plate. But she had better be wary, because she will get burned by the Firestar.”
