Name: Adele Pierson
Age: 21
Position Wanted: Foreign Languages
What qualifies you for this position?: I graduated from Beauxbatons, top of my class, and therefore French is my best language, next to English. I had live in England until my tenth birthday, therefore I grew up speaking English. I have knowledge of speaking many different languages, including French, Spanish, Polish, and German. For the past three years, I have been traveling around the world studying different languages and customs.
Post a sample lesson: "Het welkom, we will be learning how to speak Dutch." Adele looks around the class, looking at the students to see their reactions. "Simple greetings in Dutch include: Het hallo. Goede Morgen. Goede Nacht. Goede Namiddag. Hoe bent u?" With a wave of her wand, the greetings she had just said appear on the board. "Now, Dutch sound simular to English, and is spelled with some simularities. Goede is out 'Good.' With that, does anyone want to guess what Goede Morgen means?" ((The lessons would require student interactions also. So, without them I can not continue.))

Name: Satine Grey
Age: Twenty-five
Position Wanted: Dark Arts
What qualifies you for this position?: I graduated from Durmstrung, everyone knows that is the best school for learning the Dark Arts, top of my year. After Durmstrung I had addtional training at a course running at the Russian Acadamy of Dark Arts. I graduated from there too with top marks for the class I was taking. Later on I began to travel the world and grew accustom to other Dark Arts that the other countries hold. So far this will be my first teaching application.
Post a sample lesson: For my first lesson I will most likely get the students to write a two foot long essay on what they know about the Dark Arts so I know where they stand. After that I am going to go through the basics of the Unforgivable Curses and other assorted curses, and possibly if the Ministry allow me to teach them the curses I shall go ahead with that, under your consent of course.
Accepted!

Name: James Elizabeth Adagathguarde... No, just kidding! James Vincent Adagathguarde.
Age: 29
Position Wanted: History of Magic, though I'm at a loss as to why...
What qualifies you for this position?:
Well, for a start I attended St Bartholemew's in Forthyngton, England... as did my brothers, my father and his father, and so on until you can't trace them any further. It's some sort of family tradition, I guess... and anyone who manages to suffer through the millions of years you need to get through to pass deserves some amount of credit!
Then I (because I'm totally into self-torture) drudged my way through a university degree... my father is too much like his own for my good... not letting me have the slightest amount of money until I have a job! I ask you... what is the point??? Though he was right on one count, I do actually enjoy teaching... there's something about warping young minds that really warms the heart...
Post a sample lesson:
Well, I rather think it would be interesting to act out History! It's rather a chore when it's just me up there lecturing... I say we start with perhaps the origins of magic.. have the kids act out the parts... and then maybe a war..! BAM! SMACK! Without wands, of course... these do sometimes get out of hand... and before you know it! KAZAAM! Kids enjoying history! You'd never think it was possible, eh?
Accepted! Your office and classroom have been placed in Cluster 1 on Level 5. Classes for Term 2 should commence immediately.

Name: Megan Rowe
Age: 33
Position Wanted: Transfiguration Professor
What qualifies you for this position?: I have taught at schools before, on a more elementry level than this, however. I also grew up around transfiguartion, my aunt being a animigas professor.
Post a sample lesson:
Megan walked into the classroom wearing maroon robes and looking rather happy. She sat her papers on her desk and began to create her lesson as the students filed in.
[OOC: Quotes are my chalkboard]
| QUOTE | Class B, II Transfiguration
- Turning small objects into small, nearly identical objects - transfiguring a bit at a time |
She turned around as the bell rang.
"Well, good afternoon class! Today will be working with Class B, Level 2 transfiguration. We will be turning a needle into a toothpick. Now, at this class and level it is either defined as turning an extremely large object into something else large and only transfiguring it parts at a time. For example, changing a giraffe into an elephant. You might start with the legs, one leg at a time, and then move up." She looked around the room to be sure everyone was taking notes, or at least listening.
"Another form is changing something tiny into something else tiny in less than 5 seconds. That is what we'll be doing today." She swished her wand and a toothpick fell onto everyone's desk. She began to speak again.
"Now, to make this work you must pull back your wand just a bit, swish left and say 'Fergus Milln!'," They all watched as her toothpick turned into a perfect needle.
"I want all of your needles done by the end of class. For homework you are to right a half-foot essay on what you know about transfiguration." [OOC: About 50 words; Please PM it to me] "Now, are there any questions before you start?"
[EDIT: Toothpicks and needles seem to be a popular first lesson. Sorry about having the same example as the above, I had not noticed] This post has been edited by Megan Rowe on Jun 9 2005, 03:34 PM
