So, yeah, I got Halo 3. No, I wasn't one of those people who waited in front of a store in the cold and the dark. I was smart and pre-ordered it from a lesser-known gaming place, and simply walked in and picked it up later that day (I had to go to work, anyways. I couldn't have done a midnight release).
Here's the cool part; I had originally preordered the limited edition of Halo 3, and when I went in there to get it, I had asked them if they had any of the Legendary editions left (which includes the game, a bonus disc, a stand to put the games in, and the best part, a Master Chief helmet which you can't wear, but you can put it on the stand to cover the games), and they said they had two left, so I decided to trade in the limited edition I was going to get, and bought the Legendary edition instead, and it is so cool!

Anyways, about the game... It's awesome! If you've played Halo 2, then you sort of know what to expect. The multiplayer is really fun, and setting up levels in Forge mode is a blast. You can use Forge mode to set up a level how you want by putting weapons, vehicles and other random objects wherever you please, or you can just have fun and goof off since it is a multiplayer mode. How it works exactly is you start the area normally, and by pushing up on the D-pad, you turn into a Monitor (one of those floating orb things) and you can pick up, remove, or create new items such as vehicles, weapons, and obstacles. Of course, you can't just create everything you want, you have a budget (which you can restore by getting rid of items if you have too many on the field, but you have a pretty large budget, so you usually don't have to worry) but creating things is pretty cheap (you start out with a budget of about $400, and vehicles are usually around $10, weapons are about $2 each).


So, yeah, bottom line. It's a cool game. Check it out if you get the chance.
