Title: Little Help?
Description: Skill suggestions?

Ok,
I have been "playing" this game for the past few weeks. Well, playing in the sense that I log on, select a skill to train, and then log off. I haven't completed the Tutorial yet and I am still just sitting there in the starting hangar.

Anyway, I am just curious as to what skills you guys think would be worthwhile. My "concept" is to be a missile boat fighter ... blast things from as long range as possible. I figure I also need some pretty decent Electronic Warfare skills as well as some cloaking skills to go along with it. What missile skills are good to train?

Right now, my plan is to train up Eidetic Memory to 3 and Logic to 3 (should have Analytical Mind to level 4 by this afternoon)...and that should help cut down training times a lot.

You've already trained your learning skills to T2? Wow!

Your best bet is to get on teamspeak with us one afternoon and we'll help you out, give you some skill books, ships, etc. You really need to complete the tutorial...get into the game....otherwise you are just going to have a trained character and not know what to do with him.

Hey...I just got a TiVo - How do you burn them to a DVD from TiVo?

Yeah, I may do that soon! I've been having some connectivity issues the past couple of weeks. They say they have it narrowed down to a line somewhere and should be fixed today. They suspect some overhead line has been damaged and they are trying to isolate where the exact part of the cable is damaged I guess. Something totally outside my house.

So, I haven't really had to do much other than log on every so often and train skills. http://evemon.evercrest.com/

This thing is badass, it gets all your info from the game so you dont have to manually input anything, has a skill browser so you can search for any skill, or chose a ship and it will tell you what skills you need. It also calculates training times, including implants, etc, so you can figure out the fastest way to get where ya wanna go....

So using that, I figured out it would be quicker later on if I trained those learning skills up first. Plus, I have a "rich" sugardaddy friend who wired me 5 mill Isk to start and should be sending me another 20 mil today :P I will get out and play soon though!

As far as the TiVo to DVD thing ... ummm, I bought the TiVo that HAS a DVD Burner in it already. You just insert a blank DVD, go to the TiVO Menu, select DVD, Burn to DVD and select the shows.

If you didn't get the one with the DVD Burner in it already, well, it gets a bit more complicated. You will HAVE to network it in to your home network, use the TivO Desktop software to transfer it to the PC ... then use MySonic DVD Studio to burn it to DVD. So far, I think MySonic is the only software that can decode the TiVo encoding.

We'll be in low security space with you KY in no time. We'll be tearing it up too. But first, we need to buff up some good ships before we go out there. It'll be very soon.

Rosha, you should open up the market and do a search for the ship called "Cerberus". It is like the ultimate missile boat. It's also my ideal "goal ship" for the game. I want that ship more than a Dreadnought. It will take a lot of training to get there but it's good to have a goal. Once you locate it on the martket click on the info button, then click required skills. Write down those skills and start training up towards that end. There are a lot of other skills you'll want to learn too, but we can help you pick those up a long the way.

lol uhhhmm kay!
Adam had been saying this for a LOOOOOOOOONG time.
and since being out here for the last 3 months I have learned that unless you are in a very big corp or at least have protection from a alliance, that when you go into 0.0 then you are in someone else region and they WILL kill you. ALl of the 0.0 systems are spoken for and they take intruder very seriously. Maybe when you guys recruit about 150 more peeps it may be ok to come a lil further out. When you buff up those big ships and come out here your asking to be pwnd!

http://www.eve-online.com/itemdatabase/shi...ldari/11959.asp I think this ship fits the type of ship I would eventually like to command.

Name: Rook
Hull: Blackbird
Role: Combat Recon Ship

Built to represent the last word in electronic warfare, combat recon ships have onboard facilities designed to maximize the effectiveness of electronic countermeasure modules of all kinds. Filling a role next to their class counterpart, the heavy assault ship, combat recon ships are the state of the art when it comes to anti-support support. They are also devastating adversaries in smaller skirmishes, possessing strong defensive capabilities in addition to their electronic superiority.
