It’s 800 turns after the Red Star's disappearance and the few dragonriders that remain are in Firerock Weyr on Southern. A red star has been seen on the horizon. The Lower Caverns
This mass of underground tunnels and storage rooms can be very confusing. Those new to the Weyr can easily get lost. Thankfully most of the hallways and caverns are in regular use so you won't stay lost for very long, a couple of weeks at most. :)

Kitchens

Infirmary
You can go the infirmary for anything from a scrape to a deathly illness. The most severe cases are often treated in the infirmary so as to keep watch on them. Otherwise it is likely that you'll just be whisked back to your own quarters.

Riders' Weyrs
These rooms house the Dragonriders and their Dragons. They vary in size and location. Some have stairs leading down to the Weyrbowl, some are only accessable by dragonback.

Weyrling Barracks
The Weyrling Barracks is designed much like the candidates. The rooms are larger and allow room for the dragonets as well as the riders.

Candidates Barracks
This is where the Candidates rooms are located. It is barely a dragonlength from the Hatching Sands, for quick acess at hatching time.

Hatching Sands
This underground cavern houses the Dragon Clutches. The sands are extremely warm, and if you're not wearing wherry-hide boots you're likely to burn your feet.

The Surroundings
This is the area outside of the Hold's protective stone walls. Farm land, herd beasts, and houses spread out to surround the original settlement.

Courtyard
The Courtyard is located just outside of the Hold's main doors. It is paved with well kept decorated stone. The passage of time has faded most of the stones and the original pattern or picture is no longer discernible.

Dining Hall
The Dining Hall, like the Weyr, is where all the meals are held. It is also a gathering spot for the Hold.

Hold Quarters
There are enough quarters for all the members of the Hold. At present few besides the lord and lady live in the Hold proper. Most people opt for living in houses as they no longer need to fear Thread.

Stables
Firerock Weyr is a prominent runnerbeast hold and most of its Stables are dedicated to runners. There is also room to fit the Hold's heardbeast population.

Race Track
Races are run frequently here, it is a much loved passtime for the peoples of the region. The Race Track is also main attraction at Gathers.

Harper Hall
Pern's records are kept here and classes take place for aspiring Harpers. They are still the main tool to transfer knowledge on Pern and have maintained the peoples respect.

Healer Hall
The Healer Hall is much smaller than the Harper Hall, yet they are always up to something. Whether it be curing the newest disease or training the newest batch of holdbrats.
