“Ohh that’s fine I’ll trust your judgement either way, you just have an honest face. Plus you didn’t even want to sue anyone for a slip and fall accident in a chain store if that’s not honest I don’t know what is.”

Lorna couldn't help but chuckle at that. She was honest. Prided herself on it, really. Which was why it sickened her so to be keeping such a huge secret from Dan. But that was a good kind of secret, right?

That's what she was telling herself, anyway. Because it would hurt him horribly if he ever found out.

"I'll do my best," she assured Harry. Tearing a sheet from her notebook, she scribbled down her name and phone number. "Whenever you have some time and wouldn't mind me coming by, give me a call. That's my cell. I've got it with me all the time, and only usually off when I'm in class."

Harry reciprocated by handing her a business card. “In case I miss you or you need to get a hold of me. It has my business and home number. I’ll more likely be at the home one hah I guess that does give some insight into how passionate I am about my work.”

Snorting out a soft laugh, Lorna shook her head. "All the more incentive to figure out what you want to do with your life, right?"

Glancing at her watch, she realized her time was pretty much up. "I hate to drink and run, but I really need to get to class," she said with an apologetic smile. Standing, Lorna shrugged her book bag over her shoulder again, sliding his business card into the pocket of her jeans.

"It was nice meeting you, Harry." She grimaced slightly. "Even if the circumstances were a little less than ideal. I'll be in touch for sure." Lorna grinned. "I can't wait to see those artifacts."

With a small wave, Lorna headed off. She'd have to hurry or she'd be late.

[Exit Lorna.]

"All the more incentive to figure out what you want to do with your life, right?"

“Hah you’re right.” Harry agreed with a light laugh. He agreed with her assessment but the idea of picking something to do with his life that he really wanted was surprisingly to hard to imagine. It would all have to wait until he could clear these arguing voices in his mind and that would only happen when his sense of vengeance was satisfied.

"I hate to drink and run, but I really need to get to class,"

Lorna apologized to him getting up from her chair. Harry took a quick glance at his watch noting to himself what time her class must be starting. He turned to Lorna giving her a reassuring smile. “Of course, higher learning calls. How else are you going to learn how to appraise my artifacts for yourself.”

"It was nice meeting you, Harry. Even if the circumstances were a little less than ideal.”

“It was nice to meet you too Lorna, and thanks for sharing a drink with me. On and off of my jacket.” He joked making himself look as sincere as possible. Sure when she had first spilled that coffee on him Harry had been so mad he could strangle the young woman. Thankfully his cooler head prevailed and having learned a little about her and who she knows all was more then forgiven.

"I'll be in touch for sure. I can't wait to see those artifacts."

Harry just smiled and nodded to her. She waved at him as she left and Harry returned the gesture with a small wave of his own. He watched her leave the store and through the glass door could see her rushing to the university.

Turning his head back towards his window view Harry realized he had completely botched in his stake out attempt. If Peter Parker had passed by in the last few minutes he would have had no idea. Still the morning was far from a failure. One of the first things his father had taught Harry about business that what you know is never as important as who you know. Now he knew Lorna and Harry had a feeling she was a connection piece that could lead to many opportunities.

Young Osborn picked the Daily Bugle newspaper he had neglected up off the table. Folding the paper back up tightly he tucked it under his arm. As he walked out of the store he tossed his empty coffee cup into the trash can by the door. He did not have any more time to waste here. Harry had other business to attend to that day, which now included getting his jacket dry-cleaned.
