“Ohh that’s fine I’ll trust your judgement either way, you just have an honest face. Plus you didn’t even want to sue anyone for a slip and fall accident in a chain store if that’s not honest I don’t know what is.”
Lorna couldn't help but chuckle at that. She was honest. Prided herself on it, really. Which was why it sickened her so to be keeping such a huge secret from Dan. But that was a good kind of secret, right?
That's what she was telling herself, anyway. Because it would hurt him horribly if he ever found out.
"I'll do my best," she assured Harry. Tearing a sheet from her notebook, she scribbled down her name and phone number. "Whenever you have some time and wouldn't mind me coming by, give me a call. That's my cell. I've got it with me all the time, and only usually off when I'm in class."
Harry reciprocated by handing her a business card. “In case I miss you or you need to get a hold of me. It has my business and home number. I’ll more likely be at the home one hah I guess that does give some insight into how passionate I am about my work.”
Snorting out a soft laugh, Lorna shook her head. "All the more incentive to figure out what you want to do with your life, right?"
Glancing at her watch, she realized her time was pretty much up. "I hate to drink and run, but I really need to get to class," she said with an apologetic smile. Standing, Lorna shrugged her book bag over her shoulder again, sliding his business card into the pocket of her jeans.
"It was nice meeting you, Harry." She grimaced slightly. "Even if the circumstances were a little less than ideal. I'll be in touch for sure." Lorna grinned. "I can't wait to see those artifacts."
With a small wave, Lorna headed off. She'd have to hurry or she'd be late.
[Exit Lorna.]
