Welcome to our EUCALYPTUS GROVE!

As with all forums ... we have a few Rules we'd like you to read up on prior to registering as a new member.

If you have any queries ... please don't hesitate to contact one of the Admin or other Staff members.

RULES - EUCALYPTUS GROVE Forum

1. DISCRIMINATION ...
NO discrimination of any kind is allowed in our forum.
No distinction between peoples of differing religions, sexual orientation, race, colour or creed will be tolerated here. Discrimination shown for any of the above is better kept to yourself, as it is not welcome on this board.

2. PERSONAL ATTACKS OR "FLAMING" ...
NO personal attacks or "flaming" between members will be tolerated.
This will be enforced regardless of whatever justification you may feel you have. Any such posts will be removed without notice and without explanation.

If you are the victim of such attacks DO NOT respond in kind on the public forum as your post will also be removed. You have the right to defend yourself in a calm and reasonable manner. However ... if you wish to continue your tirade against a member ... do it in your OWN time, in private and NOT via our forum!

Please report any offending posts to Admin staff. Continued flaming by anyone will result in the immediate banning of that person ... with no appeals!

Please also remember that offence can be easily be taken where none is originally intended. The written word CAN be easily misconstrued.

3. PROFANITY - WORDS OR IMAGES ...
Absolutely NO PROFANITY will be tolerated.
Please refrain from posting inferred or edited profanity ... such as "F**ked, F***ing" etc. Your post will be removed and could result in an instant ban depending on the severity of the profanity in question.

This will also apply to images containing profanity and/or material pasted from other sites ... so please be careful when doing this.

4. OPINIONS & EXPRESSIONS ...
Remember that ALL members have a right to their own opinion AND a right to express that opinion. We encourage freedom of speech in here and would prefer our members to be non-judgmental of others.
You also have a right to disagree with any opinions ... but if you need to do that with name calling, insulting or sarcastic remarks ... then your opinion is NOT welcome. Reasoned argument is encouraged. Freedom of speech should not be mistaken for license to say as you wish without regard for the hurt it may cause others.

5. ONE WORD POSTS OR "SPAM" ...
Please refrain from one word posts.
It is a waste of space and considered "spam". If you do find something funny or you wish to express your opinion about a post ... then please tell us why you feel this way using more than one word! Any members found excessively posting one word replies will be warned and appropriate measures will be taken if necessary.

This also includes posts containing only smilies. Any posts made in a discussion thread (versus a fun thread) that have no comprehensive or constructive content and/or for the sole purpose of annoying people will be deleted. Sarcastic condescension has no place in a serious discussion and is generally made to elicit an emotional response, rather than to generate a mature, respectful discussion/debate.

6. OUTSIDE LINKS ...
Any links to websites with PORNOGRAPHIC, HATEFUL or OFFENSIVE content WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED.
We ask that you DO NOT post material such as this, as it will be deleted immediately. This will be at the discretion of the Administrators and Moderators and we will err on the side of caution in all cases. The posting of such links is also a violation of our forum host's Terms of Service.

7. PHOTOGRAPHS AND ARTWORK ...
NO photographs or artwork containing nudity or pornographic content will be accepted.
It matters not, if any nude photograph has the 'bits' covered or obscured, if it has a nude person in it, it will be removed. Bikini shots are fine as long as they are not sexual in nature. Artwork CANNOT contain nudity or any sexual content.

REVISED GUIDELINE - December 2006
We would prefer Artwork on avatars and signatures to have Artist and/or Photographer's copyright details. However ... if your artwork does not have copyright details ... you will only be asked to remove the images IF we receive a complaint from outside the forum. Please keep in mind the nature of your images before posting.

8. ARE OUR RULES UNFAIR?
If you think any rule is unfair you have the absolute right to say so...
Flaming and ranting is NOT the way to express yourself! Instead ... open a topic in the FEEDBACK section or PM an Admin stating your concerns. Even though you may not agree with a particular Rule ... you are still expected to abide by it until such time it is amended.

9. PRIVATE MESSAGES ...
Any posts telling a member that you have sent them a private message will be deleted. Private messages are private. There is no need to inform them on the public forum. The forum software will inform them automatically of any new PM's they may receive.

10. RESTRICTED AREAS ...
You may NOT attempt to access any restricted areas that you do not have permission to enter.
This includes - but is not limited to - private forums, password protected forums, accounts of Invisionfree staff, any members or any other persons, living or dead. If in doubt ... ask!

11. STAFF ARE MEMBERS TOO ...
Our staff ARE members of this forum too!
Please remember that just because someone is staff, it does not mean they have the right to be condescending, nor do they have the right to bully other members. They are still members of this forum and subject to the same Rules as other members are.

If any member of staff has been giving you unwarranted problems, please notify an Administrator and the matter will be investigated immediately.

12. MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS & DELETIONS ...
To remain a member, you must make at least one post within one week of registration.
When you register ... your details will be manually checked and approved by the Administrators. Once they have approved your registration ... you are automatically logged in. In order to remain a member, please make at least one post within the first week of registration. This encourages members to post, as we want an active community. Failure to do this will result in account suspension and/or deletion.

Admin staff have discretion to delete unused member accounts at any time or to ban members who they feel may not fit in with the rest of the community.

Members will be deleted if they have registered but not posted within the first week of registration (see above). Members will also be deleted if they have registered, made 10 posts or less and have no activity for twelve months. Deleting members is not something we wish to do!

Former members are welcome to rejoin at any time! Simply refer your request to Admin and they'll take it from there!

13. PASSWORD ...
You must pick your OWN secure password and take ALL reasonable measures to protect your account.
You are able to change your password as regularly as you wish via your "My Controls" profile area.

14. HTML/JAVASCRIPT ...
You may NOT post harmful or disrupting html/javascript.

15. COPYRIGHT OF INFORMATION ...
You may NOT reproduce, distribute, or publish content posted by other members from this forum without FIRST obtaining permission of the member.

16. HOTLINKING ...
Hotlinking (using uploaded images outside of Invisionfree) is prohibited.

17. AGE RESTRICTIONS ...
You MUST be 13 years of age or older to join this forum.

18. FINALLY ...
AND most importantly ... HAVE FUN! But NOT at the expense of others.
