Welcome to the first ever Estel Angst Central Smiley Fanfiction Contest!
The challenge is to write a story, only using the emoticons found on this board.
Your story should satisfy the following requirements:
1. You may use as many smileys you like, as well as symbols, such as &, +, =, ->, =>, !, ?, and any numbers.
2. You may use words in between your smileys, but the total number of words in your story must be no more than half the number of smileys you have used. Also, you may not have more than three words in between any two smileys. You may use words in your title and in the author’s notes (to explain time and place, situation, etc). Words in the title and the author’s notes are not added to your total word count.
3. You may not use emoticons found on any other board but not on EAC. If you find a smiley that you think might be useful in a story and is suitable for an EAC smiley, let me know and I will add it to the list, so that everyone has access to it.
Those are the rules specific for this contest. In addition, your story needs to satisfy the usual EAC rules – no slash or Mary Sues (I don’t want to know how someone would do that with smileys!) and the story must contain Aragorn Angst!

Post your works as replies to this post. Be aware that the board does not allow more than 20 smileys in one post – if you need more, simply divide your story into as many posts as you need!
Note: I have not yet decided how to determine the winner, but we can decide that once we see how many stories are posted.
