Hey, you wanted to know if the community is interested, and damn, this is shaping up to be one hell of a mod. If there was anything I could do to help I'd do it but i don't really think there is (apart from maybe saying how awesome the baneblade model looks tongue.gif) Good luck guys, i'll be watching and waiting patiently and doing what I can.

Hi, and thanks!

If you want to become a member of the mod, then just post a thread HERE!. Just say what your good at in relation to the mod and some examples of your work (if any).

At the moment we need some people to do the Textures and the animation for the models. Other stuff like making models and coding is very useful too.

Sorry, but I can't do any of those tongue.gif I'd kinda like to learn but I don't have the time, plus my parents get annoyed with me spending too much time on the computer. At least i can be with you in spirit and on the boards tongue.gif

Welcome Luke,

Its nice to hear you are interested, and don't worry about not having the skills to do stuff. We need a fanbase, just as any mod does, it helps when we get stuck, and it shows us one of the reasons we are working.

Haha very nice. tongue.gif Hurrah for cheesy puns!

Mmmm Baneblade...

Question: Which sides are you going to start with? Obviously IG but who else?? I vote Tau and Necrons, since they are mostly shooty sides (No CC, which may be dodgy) and are my two favourite sides...

Besides the modders themselves, you are the entire fanbase on-site for the mod.

On gamespot we have quite a few fans, and apparently advanced tau tactics has some buzz about our mod.

All these people. ninja.gif

IG/Chaos/Tau sounds like a good start, we got some good stuff for each of em, eg Chaos has daemons and such, IG has bigass tanks and arty, and Tau... Err, Tau just rock. Although... I have to say that Tyranid hordes would be perfect for this scale!!

Hey, what do you guys use for modelling?? I'd kinda like to have a go tongue.gif

I could actually see Tyranids working very well actually. biggrin.gif

Im a Tyranid player in 40K so I would really enjoy that.

For the Tau that would work very well. It would have amazing Aircraft and stuff.

Oh snap, I used to collect Tyranids too!! That was a while ago though. Hey, is it even possible to just use the models from DoW? I know not all the models we want are there but that would help, although it would be a copyright nightmare... Hmm.

Well the DoW models have a higher level of Detail. They wont run very well in SupCom, but I suppose that the models we have created are OK for DoW, if not slightly low quality....

The modelers use a mixed bag of tricks. Blender, 3dsmax9...stuff like that.

Here are a couple of quotes from gamespot, from real people.

"Supreme Commander + Warhammer 40k = Victory by 2000 points." -Beriorn

"That is very cool! I cant wait until this mod is done! I am anxiouly awaiting this one!" -Dragonsss2

"Neato!" -amward2001

"Two of my favorite RTS coming together

Tell me, shall I perform it here or in the back alley?" - Sandact6

I would say that we have made quite an impression.

Before we import the models from DoW we can make them faster ourself. Our models dont have a lower detail, the models in DoW just have a good texture and very good animations.
Furthermore most of our work are models we can't import from DoW.
