Are you going to tour after the release of the new cd?

We certainly will do.

One way or another we will be out on the road in support of our new record, EVOLUTION: Creatio Ex Nihilio.

If everything goes well with our monumental plans, then we'll be hitting the road with some 'bigger' bands sometime in 2009.
That is all I can say for now as I don't want to jinx anything or give false hopes.

Just keep an eye out for updates and take my word that one way or another, we'll be on tour in 2009.

what are your views on crust punk, sludge and most importantly, the combination of the two?

Crust Punk Sludge ay?
The borders of genres have blurred so much and what people call somethings these days may not be how I see it.

For instance (and sheer journalistic laziness), I'd call certain bands a certain genre...yet someone else would call them something else.

I personally give EVERYTHING I get my hands on a listen...for I learnt a long time ago that you never know what might blow your face off!

Sludge is a favourite of mine, because it fits in with my love of all things noisey and dirty.
As much as I love clean production and hearing everything in sparkling 8:1 Surround Sound...there is nothing better than a dirty recording done in a disused/abandoned building with just 2 microphones capturing a band playing way too loud.
It really adds to a lot of band's records.

I enjoyed doing the Arachnotaur recording because that band are rather nasty and sludge-laden.

If you want to throw some bands that fit under this 'Crust Punk Sludge' tag, then I'll gladly discuss this further with you young man.
As I said, it's hard to judge what people call certain bands.

Iron Monkey?
Would you class them as sludge?
Portal?
They are 'technically' a death metal band but their productions are som awful (yet great) that some have labelled them 'sludge death'.

I think overall, there is good music and bad music.

by crusty sludge I refer to bands like dystopia, sea of deprivation, fall of efrafa, oroku, etc. and yes, sludge is sooooooo good

and what about crust like amebix, doom, nausea, aus-rotten, etc.? are you a fan?
