Well, I thought it'd b fun to start something about the classic game on wc3 of Footmen Frenzy (latest version being 3.61). Feel free to post your strategies and tactics here... all you do, how you win, why u suck, your oppinions about the game etc.
Personally, my strategy depends on who I am playing, and what they do. Normally I rely on Heroes that have distance attacks that summon units, or have effective AOE spells. (usually i use the Edge or the Keeper of the Grove). When using either of these two heroes, all i do is power them up with about 2 vitality thingies for health. I get the KotG cuz of his ents, which at max level, 20 are summoned and they are very effective when gaining gold.
After that, i get riflemen and upgrade them from there. I feel Riflemen are more supperior to other units because of their long distance attacks, their already-upgraded attack damage, their range, and how fast you can get their attack speed. I do not procede to get knights or anything.
My favorite strategy is using the
Jaood (
stealth:"adj";
latin; Deadly assassin of great power) When i have him, i focus on him and him only, upgrading his health and attack damage so that he can become invisible and strike an enemy hero to kill within a few hits and no possible hope of escape. By far, I think the
Jaood is the most powerfull and usefull hero when it comes to getting gold and killing heroes for experience. (i just took on 3 ppl's army of grunts and ghouls last night (about 13 each) and killed them all with the
Jaood no help needed. (instant level 14))
That was a game to remember, when you are the power-player that owns the map (i had to save the replay)
