*Spoilers* The End of HL2

Just thought i'd start a muttering post where we can all mutter bout how we feel about HL2's amazing (short) ending....

Does it occur to people that the G-man freezes time before you alyx or the administrator are killed?
This leaves much to the imagination as to what they are going to do for the sequel... it is infact obvious that there will be one.

What are your views? feel free to reply what ever you want this is discussion after all.

In the sequel I could just imagin them rendering Xen under the source engin... it would look amazing.
there has to be a return to xen so that we can... In the great words of Duke Nukem: "Kick ass and chew bubble gum!"

Personally I think our administrator friend has a finger in the pie with g-man and their just testing Gordon...

I really should have played the first game, maybe got it on Source. I didn't get the story behind HL2, who are these people/aliens, what they want, etc. So until I know that I can't make much of the ending.

lol dont worry dude... I also feel a little lost sometimes.... (I only played key parts of HL1 after i started using the console to jump levels....) At least i saw the g-man job thing at the end of it

but if HL2's endings anything to go by.... Gordon is "special" and g-man is like some kinda god.... (no blaspheming mkay I"m just saying)

I think that the gman is an alien of some sort that is in a host body. That is why he talks funny. Also it could be that he talks like that because they try to build up suspense and a feel of overpowering 'evil' from him.

The ending was ok as long as they give us a good sequel, not ala Matrix: Revolutions, no offense Matrix fans, but they asked more questions than the gave answers to. Not to give us all of the information, but at least fill in most, not all of the gaps in the story at the very end

HL2 was a good game, while it had a bit of a confusing ending, it was still awesome. I can't wait to play the next one.

Allright... onto the next part of the discussion/muttering...

Imagin the possibilities of Duke nukem with a GG that is Gravity Gun...

My opinion is your obsession with Duke Nukem is unhealthy.

Don't bother getting Half Life on Source. I spent an extra $10 for valve's back catalogue on Steam (which I basically own anyway) and Half Life Source, but it's really no different at all to the original with the high definition patch from Blue Shift - it looks the same, feels the same and there's no new physics puzzles. The only exception is that the boxes don't slide around everywhere like crazy.

The only difference is essentially that older Half Life add-ons and mods won't work with source, so you can't play Day of Defeat.

I think the HL2 ending is way too vague. And I normally LIKE that kinda thing, bear in mind I'm a huge fan of all 3 Matrix films and Donnie Darko...

I do think it's blatant however that the Administrator dies. And Alyx too, unless the plot demands that G-Man save her for HL3's proceedings too...

All I wanna know is, what happened to Dog? And if Alyx DOES die, can I keep him? Huh? Huh? Can I?

I never played halflife 1 it got for my pc but it wud crash every 30 mins i dont know wot was up wiv it but ive got HL2 and i think its a great game i had to buy a new graph card to play and i had to take my comp to be repaired when i was half way throught it at least the guys at maxwell computers did it for free for me they tweaked my comp it 1000% better my pc is old but it playes halflife 2 better than most 64bit amds now

i i will do so i can understand the story better but im gettin doom 3 and diablo 2 next week so i wont really have time to play any other games coz i also just got a new ps2 game today
