...Ethereal Winter...
"I am called Artemis Wyntre Guardia. I've been around since two-thousand eighty-eight, but I am not sure if I can trust this information. As you can plainly see, I am male, but this empty feeling in my heart leaves me without a love. I, however, have pledged my loyalty to R'iaxr Spectre and roam in it as the Alpha Male. Divines, help me!

...In Character...
His paws felt cold as his small, but lean body trekked through the snow laddened ground of the high mountain. There was no other wolf who he knew that would treat a trek of such height an afternoon stroll, but maybe, by fluke, another wolf would come to accompany him. Somehow, he had come to take over a pack he had joined but a few months prior.

Feeling a bit uneasy (and museless) the wolf continued his trek into the further heights of the mountain, trees already having disappeared from sight as he moved. The snow had already been falling, the snow capped top of the mountains cold under his paws. His mind wandered to how he came to take over this pack... R'iaxr Spectre.

There isn't anything that qualifies me more than anyone else, and yet, I am not even from this area, I was born far from it, Artemis sighed to himself. Reaching the crest of a mountain was no laughing matter, but here, Artemis had arrived. Turning around to look at his lands, the wind blew at his back, even some fluffy snow was blown past.

Artemis narrowed his eyes in a dominant way and rose his tail. Letting out a powerful howl, it echoed down towards the lands, but luckily the snow wasn't heavy enough for his call to make an avalanche. Although... if he want an avalanche, he could always make one. An Emerald and the power for weather were his. Although, not his own, since there were other wolves like this.

I want to go to Destination 3000, Artemis thought, looking up at the sky, sun glaring overhead, shining off of his radiant, pure white form. Due to two black spots on his back where fur didn't grow, where it was just his skin, it tended to absorb light and caste an awkward shadowy glow back instead of making him look glowing-godly, it made him appear to have two dark wings at his back. ...But no one said Artemis was complaining about having faux wings.

Artemis sat back on his haunches, eyes looking outwards, calmed down, and less ranked in appearance. He didn't like the thought of holding rank over wolves when he didn't have to, after all, when he was alone, he could do whatever he wanted, right? Right. Now... waiting, thinking, doing silent things, Artemis looked blankly forward, waiting to see what would happen.

o o c // omg, sorry it's taking so long to reply. school started today, so my muse is in the dust. O_o but it's finished, finally. next post will most likely be done faster. xPPP

x x CONCENTRATION was taken from her mind as Ajax de l'Acier wandered the paths of the mountainside. It was true that all she had ever known of her own packland was simply these cold, frostbite mountains of Riaxr. A sigh escaped her parched muzzle, her tongue falling freely from behind unlocked jaws. But the snow didn't bother her - it didn't bother her at all. In fact, she quite enjoyed the cool crisp air of morning, this sensitive touch of ice against her warm body. Paws were stretched beneath her canvas-like body, awaiting action to do whatever it is they must do - anything. She was bored, completely and utterly bored. She hadn't an idea of what to do, where to go, who to look for. In fact, for the moment she simply roamed freely about the mountainside, letting her paws create tracks in the snow and letting her wings guide her wherever the wind blew - which was wherever she wished to go. Let us not forget her emerald gem, packed tightly and safely into her bracelet laying across her leg. Her bracelet was most likely different than those the others carried. It was smaller, only just big enough to capture the chains which carried the slots for her gems. Like the others, she had all the slots, all the places for every gem, with the varied sizes and accompanied silver to match her metal attire. Only these slots were not molded into the bracelet itself. You could call it a charm bracelet, allowing for the bracelet itself to be smaller and more managable in size. The charms, or gems, dangled about her paws, making so that it allowed for noise to travel from her ever-silent steps. Though only when she wished, for when she walked in stealth, she was sure to silence those annoying chains, make them obey her demand if she had to carry them herself. Oh, but her mind did not concentrate on this, for she was far too entraced with the very boredom that plagued her mind. She longed for tasting excitement and to feel the adrenaline bouncing from step to toe. Anxiety was such a demanding feeling, a numbness that was so very pleasurable and weakening at the very same time. She longed for it, pleasured the taste, and wished it would be hers once more. Oh, little Ajax, your time was coming. It wouldn't be long before your boredom reached its end, and soon you will be satisfied with company. Soon, Ajax, very soon.

x x HER steps, however, did carry on, leading her to a very dusty place on the mountainside, one accumulating witht he dust of Mother Nature, the very substance of snow. Her eyes creased with interest, and she decided to create a little spin on the atmosphere. The snow before her was deep, so very deep. It would most likely cover her very nose if she so much as trailed through this pit of snow. She fell silence, her eyes never blinking as she stared directly into the skies. Oh, but what was this? Heat! On a mountainside? Oh, Ajax, you truly are a bitter child, but you are so very tempting with your actions. So very wise, yet so very cruel. She smirked after her stare was broken with the entrancing skies, her gaze then returned down to the very ground which once was covered in bleach white snow. It was gone. All was gone. The ground was heated, and The sun had driven a path into the snow leading straight to the packed topography. And she walked across, nonchallant and easily striding across her molded path. And she had her head suspended in the air, her tail whisping proudly at her rump, and her ears pricked to attention. Foolish child, don't you realize you haven't a bit of authority in this nation? Don't you realize that you are on the bottom of your chain, walking easily where all tread upon you? But she continued, walking with pride and feeling as if she were simply the most beautiful damn thing in the world. Oh, but it wasn't too long before her trance was broken, and she was returned to the gentle texture of an ordinary wolf. She had no pride when it came to seeing another, for she knew of that in which she was - nothing. She held no title, occupied no rank. Hell, she hadn't hardly an idea what she was seen as when it came to looking through the eyes of her alpha, Artemis. She had never met him, but she was sure he carried both strength and wisdom, otherwise he would not have such pride to his name. She shuttered, feeling excitement coarse through her veins as she thought about meeting her alpha. It was like meeting a king, setting your eyes upon the most important being in your country. It was royalty, and it was honor. Oh, but suddenly she stopped, landing dead in her tracks as she looked on. And there, sitting just there, was another, folding itself in her path. A stranger? Yes, but one indeed that belonged to her pack. But who was it?

x x EYES focused upon the being before her, curiosity etching her very being as she strode easily towards it. Eagerness gripped her solemn heart as she calmly allowed for her legs to take her to the very figure sitting in the snow. Her paws were draped in the white flaxen material, and it was thrown in all directions as she carefully forced her body forward. Her tail rotated at her rump, poise yet relaxed as she took to tossing it back and forth. Her wings were carefully and delicately hanging beside her, as always, and never once in use as she took her final strides into view. The form became apparent then, leading her eyes to the very form of the relaxing canine for further examination. Gentle paws pressed against the earth with such delicacy, awaiting to be noticed by the alpha. Her body was posed in a most respectful way, ears pinned to the perfect amount and her head was hung low in anticipation for her alpha to turn and see her. She lowered her belly to the snow, though only the slightest bit. She must still hold her poise, should she not? She saw no reason to thrust herself to her knees for him to find her respectful. She had dignity to uphold! Oh, Ajax, you stubborn fool. And then she grew bold, bolder than most would take to riding when it came to approaching their alpha. She spoke, softly yet cooly, as if it were just a normal conversation. But indeed, it was merely a normal conversation, between wolf and her alpha. Nothing more. "Hello, m'lord. And how are you this day?" She felt the touch of sensitivity on her back, making her feel dishonest and unloyal to her own true personality. How could she be so inviting? Could it be because she spoke to none other than her alpha? She continued, setting herself straight through words still sweet, but oh so bitter to the taste. "Most know me as stealthy and cruel, but I wouldn't trust - nor doubt - anything they say. I'm not always so bad as I may seem - nor so good. But don't mind me, my king, I am only trying to make an introduction, finding conversation among these pieces of dead silence." She smirked at this, letting a dashing chuckle touch the atmosphere, though tender and light as to not make herself seem full of pride ignorance. But she did have a soft side for her alpha, something gentle and making her want to act differently around him. Oh no, it was not a crush, not this soon. She was not at all that naive and unwise. But perhaps it was a fear, a threatening fear that drove her to thinking she had to act completely taken by his very presence. Yes, perhaps this was it! She had to make a good impression on her alpha, the one standing above her in the ranking. She had to make herself so very wise and so very submissive toward her alpha, the leader of her pack.

x x SILENCE then trapped the entrancing strands of atmosphere, sending nothing raining down upon the earth as so. Instead, the world was lulled into a sleepless dream, to fade in the ever-present silence which haunted it. Curiosity curved its path, and Ajax felt a stinging in her chest, a longing to find peace with her day-dreaming, to carry on with reality and stay within the present before her mind was encased in curiosity once again. She stumbled once, letting her belly rub across the reaching snow as she caught her balance before falling completely to the ground. She allowed a gentle snort to escape her nostrils, a growl-like voice whispering her discomfort in falling. Oh, but it wasn't far. She caught herself, after all. Ajax watched then, a look of concern flooding her features as she eyed the lead alpha before her, dancing in the silence which haunted the earth this hour. Her eyes creased as she studied him from behind, coming around to view him as she reached one leg before the other, traveling swiftly, silently, and elegantly. Oh, Ajax, you truly are beautiful! Her wings, though dazzling with both darkness and beauty, trailed at her side as she walked. She slowed now, feeling her hind legs come beneath her as she bent to sit beside her alpha. Side by side? Risky, but sweet. She was not trying to make herself a suck-up to the alpha of Riaxr, but indeed she seemed to see him desiring some company - at least this is what she thought. A smile, or grin - whichever you could see, played upon her muzzle as she cast a glance toward Artemis, though folding her head downward as to not let him think she was challenging him in any way. She had never met him before; she didn't know what he may think of her outgoingness. But that would be tested once he replied, and she would study his actions to decide whether she could be bold or must be modest at his presence. She wanted nothing more than to appear strong, yet loyal, to her leader's eyes - and that was not so much to ask.

DONE.

The white wolf kept his sitting position, watching, listening... feeling the world for changes, for approaches. Small trembles in the earth told him foot steps still played in his pack lands, yet it could have been the wind or prey who drummed across the dirt patch. Clearly, Artemis didn't see what was so important about dirt, or a small paw full, but when it came in great quantities like pack lands, obviously each grain had it value and it was worth fighting for. Land was needed to live on, and take shelter in, no one or wolf or anything could deny such, and so neither did Artemis, but still... the dirt that covers one's paws, the dirt that flies in the air, the dust, anything not settled onto the ground and having things grow out of it, was useless.

Artemis wiggled his paws in the snow, the cold, sharp ice stabbing him, melting, dissipated into nothingness. Cold teal eyes scanned the world, still, beyond. He did not know of a wolf's approach to him, but he could smell the wolf on the mountain as the warmer air below ascended to the cold, only to fall and warm itself again in a law of the Earth that could never be broken. Warm air rises, out of lightness, and cold air falls out of density. Artemis knew this, and he knew other things too, but his travels had left him short of the knowledge of family, love, and complete and utter sociality.

The wolf's ear twitched, his head turning towards the sound not too long after, spotting a young female walking into his presence not too long after. Oddly colored... although nothing was truly odd in the world they lived in. For crying out loud, they had rainbow wolves! Oh, and what's this? She talks! Obviously, Artemis wasn't too fond of wolves in his presence, but he would have to deal with it, being the R'iaxr Alpha in all. He couldn't hate every-wolf in his pack, could he? That would be wrong and very, very suspicious. He kept his silence for now.

Upon truly observing this wolf, Artemis found that she was half'n'half so it seemed. Partly a metal hued coat color and black; evilly odd eyes, a single silver and the other... too dark for Artemis to decipher. She had large bat wings, much like the other female he met, Sagira Thiros, and Artemis, possibly, looked like the most normal wolf in the world, simply having a mark on his right cheek and teal eyes, although his left eye was partly gray, as if an evil spirit was slowly taking over. Eventually, Artemis supposed, the gray would take over his left eye and leave him looking quite odd. Almost cursed.

Artemis almost laughed. King? Really? Artemis wasn't quite used to the "m'lord"s and "king" callings yet, in fact, he would have preferred a simple call of Alpha or Artemis. Then it dawned upon him, the realization as he thought back to his previous "alpha" or rather, his adopted father, who, apparently, ripped off his pure white wings, leaving black scars on his back, adjacent to the color of his skin. Artemis turned in his head away, not from the newly arrived female, but from himself, but from an outsider's view, it could have looked like either.

Eventually, the young female, older than Artemis, he knew this much, had finished talking and a ghostly silence washed over them. The white wolf simply looked at female, although he didn't know her name. His eyes appeared cold, deathly, unloving, and maybe a little hateful, but his voice, his voice betrayed nothing but his calm nature, his eyes naturally narrowed in such a menacing way as he spoke in calm, gentle voice. "There is no need for you to tell me how other's judge you, for I will simply judge you upon my own opinion and not other's." he said indifferently, not even a note of menace to be found.

Artemis looked at the female calmly, "I ask your name, as you probably know mine." After all... wouldn't she? He was Alpha, and news, and the like, would spread very quickly. He did not doubt this. "Thank you for asking," Artemis said, rewinding a bit to where the female asked his mood, "I'm quite jolly, and yourself?" ... Jolly? That was quite, almost laughable, the cold, unfeeling wolf was... jolly. What an absurd word to describe himself, but maybe he truly was, content with a single company and in the silence, the solitary domain, of the mountains of R'iaxrome.

(As I am still not with muse,) Artemis waited patiently for a reply, the silence not bothering him. The action of sitting next to Artemis gained no reaction, just a flick of his ear to acknowledge it. He was not hostile or cruel to make the female step down from her relaxing position, nor did he really care. He knew when wolves got out of line you were to punish them, but he really... really... didn't care either way, it was a matter of his standards how the wolves of his pack would act, and he would see that it was upheld, but minor things would not be overlooked, only noted to be added to a mental-ongoing list of irritable things other wolves did.

It was only Artemis' nature to do such.

ooc // grr. i'm just gonna make posts super short. that way i can get them done without freakin out because i can't keep up with everything. >.<

x x THE stomach of Ajax was twirling with curiosity as she sat gently upon hind haunches, watching intently toward the canine before her. Acoustic tools of ears perked to attention as she listened intently to the words that were anticipated by the alpha, Artemis. She stood still, however, feeling that she was patiently awaiting an answer as she should be. Do not rush others, and most importantly the alpha over your very own skin.

x x AND this will be paragraph two.

i'm sorry, artemis. i don't have time to rp right now, so i'm hiatusing. >< sorry for the inconvenience it might have caused.
