the basic plot line is that there are angels with powers and demons. Then there are the humans. Some humans know; some don't. The powers each group have are being able to move objects with your mind, control one of the four elements (fire, water, earth, air), full body control is for very advanced beings but is possible. Members of the council have a fighting - like ability. They can shoot pain in the form of smoke at each other. It may sound silly but that's what they can do. In addition to that they have one of the other powers above. Powers are acquired at someone's 18th birthday.
