Title: [F]First They're Sour
Description: Jane/Konnie

Jane Mulligan - June 30, 2010 01:31 AM (GMT)
The night club had just opened and Jane was behind the bar, making sure everything was ready for the night. The bouncer at the door was checking the IDs of all the people streaming in, and the live band was on stage warming up for their gig.

Konstantin Petrescu - June 30, 2010 01:38 AM (GMT)
Konnie was supposed to be a god knows how old shapeshifter, and yet one measly bouncer made him all too easily intimidated. As he glared him down, Konnie pulled back, avoiding eye contact. And then he was let passed. Why did he feel the need to scare Konnie? It wasn't like Konnie was underage, if anything he was overage. And he certainly didn't look underage either. Maybe he just looked suspicious... Typical. He went straight to the bar and spotted a redhead... Girl? Woman? Konnie could never tell these days. "Excuse me! Can I have a..." A what? A beer? Like he'd drink that... "A ugh, something with vodka in it..."

Jane Mulligan - June 30, 2010 01:47 AM (GMT)
Jane turned around at the voice and instantly recognized the man who had spoken to her. She smiled flirtatiously at him. "Well, hey there, Mr. Pun. Did you stop by for those Sour Patch Kids?" she asked as she poured him a Vodka and Lime.

Konstantin Petrescu - June 30, 2010 01:52 AM (GMT)
See, Konnie knew he'd come in here for something, and the moment Jane spoke, he looked away and rolled his eyes at himself. He looked back at her with a grin. "Of course. Did you think I'd forgotten or something?" he gave an amused scoff. "But I'll have something with vodka in it too... Unless they come in vodka flavour..."

Jane Mulligan - June 30, 2010 02:50 AM (GMT)
Jane snickered at that. "No, I didn't think you forgot. And no, they don't come in vodka flavor. But, I did pour this for you," she smiled before handing him the drink she had just poured. "I'll be right back," she winked at him as she walked into her office to find a pack of Sour Patch Kids. Not her particular favorite candy, but she did try to keep a nice stock of sweets in the cabinet along with some of her personal alcohol. She walked back out to the bar and set the back down in front of Konnie. "These, are Sour Patch Kids."

Konstantin Petrescu - June 30, 2010 04:30 AM (GMT)
At least he'd got out of admitting to forgetting easily enough. He leant over the bar slightly, watching as Jane vanished. He couldn't help but why she smelt so familiar, but supposed it was just because he'd met her before and now, full of a room full of strangers, she just stood out more than they did. "They look like worms," he commented when she came back with the Sour Patch Kids. He picked one out the packet, sniffed it out of habit, before putting it in his mouth. He almost instantly screwed his face out like he'd just stuffed a lemon in his mouth. "Ack," he said, exaggerating how sour it was.

Jane Mulligan - June 30, 2010 04:42 AM (GMT)
Jane wrinkled her nose when he said they looked like worms. "Well, they're sort of like gummy worms. Only...not." She watched as he picked one up and smelled it. A smile formed on her lips as she continued to watch and he finally put it in his mouth. Jane couldn't help but laugh at his expression. "Just wait for it!" she smiled. "It stops being sour and becomes sweet in a few moments. I must admit, you weren't so sour. So this isn't exactly what you tasted like." Mm, how'd she'd have to explain that statement to anyone who overheard.

Konstantin Petrescu - June 30, 2010 06:23 AM (GMT)
"Yeah, well, I doubt real worms are this... tangy," Konnie laughed, stuffing another worm in his mouth, now the other one had lost its sourness before holding the rest out to Jane. "Want one? Or is that considered... Whatever it's called when you're not working when you should be," he shrugged, forgetting he even had a drink. "I'm glad I'm not that sour. I'd probably have to do something about it... Eat a lot of sugar..." Konnie shook his head and smiled awkwardly. He was so stupid sometimes. At least he hadn't accidentally blurted 'I like rabbits' yet.

Jane Mulligan - June 30, 2010 06:42 AM (GMT)
"Well I've never had real worms...So I wouldn't know," she smirked. Jane shook her head when he offered her one. "I'm not a big fan of sour stuff. Maybe you can make them sweet for me," she grinned, running her tongue over her teeth. "And considering I'm the owner, I don't think I'll be getting in trouble for not working on the clock." Still smiling, Jane put her arms on the bar and leaned towards Konnie. Only a few inches away from him, she whispered so only he could hear, "Mm, I'd like to find out if you taste the same all over."

Konstantin Petrescu - June 30, 2010 07:00 AM (GMT)
All Konnie wanted to say was 'ew', but he really didn't think that was terribly polite, and he didn't actually want to put his foot in it. He liked Jane. "You want my sucked on worm?" he said, one eyebrow raised incredulously. And then he realised how bad that sounded. "Don't answer that actually!" he added, waving his hand at her with an almost horrified glance. But then he wondered if she'd answer that anyway, when she leant closer. He half smiled, not sure whether she was genuine or just messing around with him. Hell, it was very easy to fuck with Konnie, and apparently he knew it. "Well. You..." he trailed off, because he didn't know what to respond with. He needed something witty, but nothing that sounded like a rejection... "Licking me comes at a price, you know?"

Jane Mulligan - June 30, 2010 07:06 AM (GMT)
Jane quirked a brow at his question, a sly grin on her lips. She was about to answer when he cut her off with a wave of his hand. Okay, she'd just have to answer later. He was cute, and she liked it. Even if he was pretty strange. And something about him seemed so familiar. More so than just their meeting before. She smiled at his response. "Oh, and what's the price, Sha? I do hope I can pay it. I'd hate to miss out on that delicious body," she pouted playfully.

Konstantin Petrescu - June 30, 2010 07:32 AM (GMT)
"And, ah, who exactly said it was delicious?" Konnie, without thinking, put another sour patch kid in his mouth, and instantly regretted it, because it mucked up his moment of looking cool and caused him to screw his face up. He decided not eat any more of those, at least not tonight anyway. He swallowed it and pushed the packet away a bit. "As for the price. Well. It's not these for a start," he said, picking up the Sour Patch Kids and waving them at her.
SPUD = FAIL

Jane Mulligan - June 30, 2010 07:41 AM (GMT)
"You are adorable," she chuckled, leaning back and taking the bag from him. "I said you were delicious. Are you going to prove me wrong?" she quirked a brow again. Jane always did love a challenge. And if her little Konnie/rabbit lover/cute guy was going to give her a challenge, well who was she to turn it down? Not that she actually thought he was going to do that. "Well then let's put these away," she said, tossing the bag on the counter behind her. "And let's start discussing this price," she practically purred as she crawled onto the bar in front of him.

Konstantin Petrescu - June 30, 2010 10:42 AM (GMT)
That right there almost made Konnie beam. He restrained himself and managed to settle for a cheesy grin. "Well maybe I just will. To be difficult," he grabbed his drink and tilted his head to the side taking a mouthful. Though he sat the glass down and pushed it away when Jane basically jumped on the bar. Konnie couldn't help but feel this was a little... Strong... For a public place... Not that he minded- he was all for public displays of affection. Maybe he was just a bit rusty... "Are you sure you're going to be able to afford me? I'd hate to get your hopes up over this," he smiled smugly, resting his elbow on the bar and leaning closer to her face, eyes closed as he ever so slightly shook his head.
I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS XD

Jane Mulligan - July 10, 2010 03:04 AM (GMT)
"Oh, darling. I like difficult," she grinned, sliding her legs out from underneath her and hanging them over the bar in front of Konnie, scooting herself forward until she was right in front of him. No one ever said Jane didn't have a flair for the theatrics. And it was her own club. If anyone had a problem with her acting the harlot, they could take it up with her at a later point. For now, she was having fun. "Sha, I sure hope I can afford you, because I want another taste," she smiled, leaning down and kissing him.

OMFG SPUD I LOVE THAT PIC <33

Konstantin Petrescu - July 12, 2010 03:20 AM (GMT)
"I don't want to disappoint, so there's no shortcuts from this point on," out of instinct, Konnie naturally put his hands on either side of Jane's waist, straightening himself up and pulling her so they were pressed against each other. After she'd kissed him he leant back, looking like he was enjoying himself a little too much. "Actually, I think there's a special on at the moment... Quite a... Heavy discount... For club owners... With red hair," he said, lowering his voice before leaning forward to kiss her back.

Jane Mulligan - July 16, 2010 07:40 AM (GMT)
Jane gave a little snicker into the kiss before pulling back and smiling at him. "And just how many club owners do you know with red hair?" she asked, spreading her legs so he was between her knees. She placed her hands gently on his shoulders and kissed his chin quickly before leaning close to his ear, "Darling, maybe we should discuss this...contract, in a more private setting?"

Konstantin Petrescu - July 19, 2010 11:23 AM (GMT)
"Oh, more than you can count on your fingers!" Konnie responded too quickly, too loudly and too eagerly. He frowned, not at Jane, but at himself, and how stupid he sounded. He was trying to come across as... Suave? More like spastic. His hands absently found their way to her ass, before he quickly lifted her off the counter. "Point me in the direction of privacy," he said, much quieter than his previous statement, grinning at her.

Jane Mulligan - July 23, 2010 06:51 AM (GMT)
Jane grinned at Konnie's eagerness. He obviously wasn't used to flirting. She would have to teach him. A generous act she was looking forward to. The moment he picked her up, she faltered ever so slightly, but then regained her composer and smiled to him, pointing a finger towards her office to the right of the bar. "Louanne, take over the bar for me," she called to the other girl tending the bar. Jane caught the slight roll of her eyes just before turning her attention back to Konnie with another smile.

Konstantin Petrescu - July 23, 2010 06:57 AM (GMT)
"My na..." Konnie's sentence trailed off when he realised Jane had not, in fact, called him Louanne, and had not asked him to take over the bar. Yes, for a moment, Konnie had honestly thought she had been talking to him- he was that stupid sometimes. "Oh..." he finished sheepishly, heading in to her office, somehow managing to keep a hold of her and open and shut the door at the same time. "You know, I thought you were a lesbian for a moment there, changing my name to Louanne..." he finally said, smirking slightly and just sort of standing there, in the middle of the room. "But I'm not sure how well I'd pull off being a woman."

Jane Mulligan - July 23, 2010 07:14 AM (GMT)
Jane quirked a brow in amusement at what Konnie said. "Konnie, darling, lesbian has never been the term I use for myself. I have had experiments, but I much prefer men," she grinned mischievously. Carefully she got down from his hands and locked the door so no one could barge in. Then she turned around and grinned to Konnie. "So, where were we now?"

Konstantin Petrescu - July 23, 2010 07:23 AM (GMT)
"Oh, well that's alright then," Konstantin chuckled slightly, turning and watching as she locked the door. "Uhhh..." he said, forgetting she spoke for a moment. Locking the door, that... Konnie suddenly realised he hardly knew this woman and here he was locked in a room with her. Not that he was having a chicken moment and about to back down, but he wondered where the whole 'dating' aspect had flown out the window. Then again, was he really expecting this to get that far? Knowing his luck, some cyclops would barge in and turn him into a pancake, or something as equally painful... He shook his head and blinked, telling himself not to be so stupid, or such a pussy. "Sorry, what did you say? I was... No one's ever locked me in a room before," he smirked.

Jane Mulligan - July 23, 2010 07:30 AM (GMT)
Jane blinked a couple of times and glanced at the door. "Should I...unlock it? I promise I don't bite. Unless you want me to," she said with a hint of a smile. Maybe she was going too fast for him. Not that she would particularly mind, considering most of her encounters were fast paced. She smiled to herself and unlocked the door, then moved to sit on her desk. Crossing her legs one over the other, she smirked to Konnie. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. You're different from most other guys."

Konstantin Petrescu - July 23, 2010 07:38 AM (GMT)
See, this was exactly what Konnie meant; he was so retarded when it came to everything. "No! No, no, no! That's not what I meant... I mean... I don't know what I mean... Maybe I didn't even mean to say that..." he mumbled, screwing his nose. Now he didn't even know what was going on. Was the door meant to be locked or unlocked? He honestly had no idea. "Wait. Now I'm just confused," he admitted before moving to sit next to her on the desk, which was technically more or less leaning against it than sitting on it. "I haven't done this for a while, which could be why..." 'A while' was a very, very, very big understatement. Okay maybe that wasn't so true, but he hadn't been that great at romance even when he'd been 'young'. "I know, I'm a weirdo. Sorry if I creeped you out or anything- I just assumed, y'know, dates came before this," he smiled at her, trying hard to avoid using the term 'one night stand'.

Jane Mulligan - July 23, 2010 07:43 AM (GMT)
"Sha, calm down," she smiled, rubbing his shoulder when he leaned next to her. "I don't mind, believe me. I sort of like the idea of slow paced. A date sounds great. I can't remember the last time I went on one of those. Most mean like the 'wam, bam, thank you ma'am' type thing," she sighed, leaning on her arm that she placed on his shoulder. Then she smirked up at him. "You didn't creep me out. You're cute," she smiled, tapping him on the nose with her finger.

Konstantin Petrescu - July 23, 2010 07:51 AM (GMT)
Konnie raised an eyebrow at her. "Really? You'd seriously go on a date with me? Even when there's about seventy better men out there," he pointed towards the door. He hoped she'd say no to that though, because it felt good to actually have someone say yes. "A proper date, mind you. At a fancy restaurant, dressed up and all that. None of this 'let's have coffee' crap," he added. Now all he needed to do was find a restaurant to take her to... Maybe Mala or Io would have some ideas. Or Kaori. Actually, Kaori might have had more idea than the Amazons. They seemed to get lost more than knowing where a good place to eat might be. Konnie scoffed loudly. "Are you trying to tell me I couldn't be creepy even if I tried?" he asked, getting up close to her face, eyes squinted.

Jane Mulligan - July 23, 2010 08:02 AM (GMT)
"Yes," Jane nodded, still smiling. "I would really go on a date with you. And considering I know about seventy percent of the guys out there," she pointed to the door as well, "I can say that they are certainly not better than you." Jane was used to having to give guys a pep talk. But this time she wasn't just saying it to boost his ego. Konnie was better than seventy percent of the guys out there. Probably more than that. At least he wanted a date before the bang. Jane appreciated that. She smiled when he leaned in. "Do you want to be creepy?"

Konstantin Petrescu - July 23, 2010 08:07 AM (GMT)
"Well, you've got me sold. Actually, you had me at hello," Stealing movie lines?! Konnie should have just given up completely and became a mute, rather than going down that road. He gave a small shrug. "I'm not sure. Do you want me to be creepy? I'm happy to go with what you want, as far as being creepy goes," he couldn't help but subtly smell her. Really, it might have been force of habit to smell people, particularly those he was going to end up on a date with, but there was also the fact he liked the smell of Jane. She smelled oddly familiar...

Jane Mulligan - July 23, 2010 08:42 AM (GMT)
"And which hello would that be?" Jane teased then leaned in to kiss him on the cheek. "I'd like you to be yourself, Konnie. If creepy is what you are, then be creepy. But somehow I doubt that you could be creepy even if you wanted to," she smiled before hopping off the table. "Now, let's plan this date!"

Konstantin Petrescu - July 23, 2010 08:50 AM (GMT)
"The first one?" he said. He didn't realise there was any other hello that could count. He smiled at her kissing his cheek. "I have no idea if I'm creepy," he said, but wasn't really worried, or paying that much attention to being creepy anymore. He was more interested in this date. "Right!" Konnie stood up straight and picked up the lamp off her desk. "Tomorrow night? I really don't have a work schedule, so whenever you're free works for me," he said, looking form the lamp to her, then back at the lamp. It wasn't a very interesting lamp. Konnie didn't even know why he'd picked it up; so he sat it back down.

Jane Mulligan - July 23, 2010 08:56 AM (GMT)
Jane nodded to his response. Of course he meant the first one. She was only teasing him though. "Well, as far as I know, you aren't creepy," she grinned. When he picked the lamp up she covered her mouth with a hand to keep from laughing. He was so weird, and she found it oddly relaxing. He was just plain adorable. "Tomorrow night sounds wonderful," she managed to say without a giggle or snort when he put the lamp down.

Konstantin Petrescu - July 23, 2010 09:35 AM (GMT)
Once he'd put the lamp down, Konnie automatically picked up something else; the mouse of her computer. "Not creepy in that way, anyway," he said, running the mouses back and forth over the palm of his hand. "I think I should keep where we're going a secret though," he added, though truthfully he had no idea where they were going yet. He'd have to run back the manor and find Kaori or Dare and shake whoever until she helped him find an awesome place for a first date.

Jane Mulligan - July 23, 2010 09:37 AM (GMT)
"How many ways are there to be creepy," she took a few steps towards him, watching as he played with the mouse of her computer. "Well, surprises are always fun. And I do love surprises. And dressing up," she smiled, wrapping her arms around his waist from behind and leaning her chin on his shoulder to whisper in his ear. "What are you doing with my mouse?"

Konstantin Petrescu - July 23, 2010 10:47 AM (GMT)
Konnie just shrugged and smiled sheepishly. He didn't even have an answer. There probably was only one way to be creepy... And that wasn't even in a good way. "Great! I'll pick you up at six, here, if you like?" he practically beamed, awkwardly looking over his shoulder at her. He hadn't even realised he had hold of the mouse, and the moment she mentioned it, he accidentally dropped it. "I was, uh... Admiring it," he said, picking it up and putting it on the mouse pad, really trying to make sure it wasn't broken. God, who admired computer mice? It made him sound like some computer nerd who had no life outside of his monitor.

Jane Mulligan - July 24, 2010 03:47 AM (GMT)
Jane couldn't help the snicker this time as she watched him fumble with the mouse. She put her hand on his calmly to try and sooth him. "Konnie, it's okay. Stop being so nervous. Six o'clock tomorrow sounds great. I live right upstairs. There's an alley on the left side of the club, drive back there and I'll meet you out the back door. It links directly to my apartment right above us."

Konstantin Petrescu - July 24, 2010 05:26 AM (GMT)
Psh, she thought he was nervous. He shook his head, disagreeing with her comment about it. He didn't consider himself to be nervous. He wasn't sure what he did consider himself to be, at this moment, but it was nervous. No. That was completely different. "I'm not nervous. No, far from it-" he said, gesturing towards the door, "that was far from being nervous." He gave a sheepish laugh, turning to face her properly, placing his hands back on her hips, (where they belonged, obviously), so he didn't get the urge to pick anything else up. "My hands just have a mind of their own," the comment itself came across a lot more suggestively than it should have; actually Konnie hadn't been trying to be suggestive at all and even failed to realise how the sentence had even sounded. He gave a small nod, to signal he understood where exactly to meet her, before leaning down to kiss her.

Jane Mulligan - July 24, 2010 08:07 AM (GMT)
Well if this wasn't nervous, Jane wondered what nervous did look like. None of her other lovers had been so...fumbly. But still, she found it cute. She smiled again when he put his hands on her hips and made a comment that sounded quite suggestive. But somehow she wasn't sure if he meant it that way or not. "Sha, your hands can have whatever mind they want to have. As long as their minds realize that if they touch another person the way they will end up touching me, they will be punished. And not in a good way," she smirked after he kissed her.

Konstantin Petrescu - July 24, 2010 11:07 AM (GMT)
Konnie just blinked for a few moments, not entirely sure what Jane was on about, but after thinking about it for a few moments he decided to just go along with it and made an almost horrified face; it was quite obvious he wasn't being serious though. "Oh dear! I better have an intervention with my hands then," his tone only further confirmed he wasn't being serious. Only after he said it did he realise how wrong the statement sounded. He tried to ignore it though, moving his attention to his hands, which moved down under the top of Jane's pants- there was only just enough room for Konnie to actually get his hands down there to squeeze her butt.

Jane Mulligan - July 26, 2010 05:14 AM (GMT)
"Why, Konnie, are you being forward with me?" she smirked, glancing at his arms that led to where his hands were. Jane moved her hands to his shoulders and reached up to place a kiss on his jaw, slowly moving her lips along it to his neck. "I think I like it," she whispered in his ear before pulling back. "What sort of dress should I wear for tomorrow night's diner?"

Konstantin Petrescu - July 27, 2010 07:26 AM (GMT)
"I honestly have no idea, but if it's working, I'm just going to keep on with it..." he said, smirking and wiggling his eyebrows slightly. He leant forward a little more, closing his eyes and smelling her hair again. "Hmm..." he pondered for a moment before opening his eyes and looking directly into hers. "Maybe something that shows off your..." he trailed off with a grin and just squeezed her arse again, as if that explained perfectly what he was talking about.
