To keep the number of House Points reasonable, and so each House keeps on trying to get Points, even when another House seems to be racing ahead, Darth and I have come up with the idea of a Monthly House Cup.
The Points will be added at the beginning of each month, and then a specific House will be declared winner, with the board showing which House it is! This thread will be used to show the overall Points at the end of every month, so we can see which House is best at getting them, and perhaps there shall be a prize at the end of a year... who knows?
From the posting of the new month, no House Points may be added from posts or advertising from the previous month, even if they weren't claimed: e.g. if you post a 500+ post on the 22nd of the month, and claim it on the 10th of the next month, it won't be counted. This is to make people add their House Points as soon as possible, and see the Points on the side of the board leap up!!
At the top of the board, you will see a banner that shows who the current holder of the Cup is. The dates shown aren't wrong: those are the dates that they have the cup for, although the Points are counted from the previous month... for example, a Cup won for posts during June will say July - August, because the House will hold the cup until the beginning of August. Simple, really!
