October 27th - 30th: Trinity Bay High Cairns Writer's Festival, a chance for high school students to meet authors like myself and hear about our journey to publication.

Just wanted to say thank you for writing these books. I'm currently in my 2nd year of a teaching degree and had a great opportunity to use some of your books with a year 7 class. I had to skip parts of the more "intimate" sections of the 3rd book (lol), but it has really helped the class with their topic of mythology. A couple of the students are wanting to read them for themselves which is great, but have asked that they let their parents read them first (nothing like getting other potentials to read a trilogy that I love) and then they can make the decision. I know it seems like a tiny thing and on the whole it is, but *sigh* I've come to learn how some parents (and in some ways rightly so) can be a bit difficult when a teacher recommends something that they might not agree/approve to. Would love to see you here in Adelaide sometime to just give a face to face thank you, but we'll just have to wait for that opportunity to arise. lol there is an AVCON happening here next year if that would be an incentive?!? =0)
