Description: Name says it all.

For when someone finally caves in and posts the first Heaven to Wudang spoilers. Until then, feel free to discuss the book, just no spoilers.

Green Dragon - May 28, 2011 07:29 AM (GMT)
ok but how long till we finish reading is when everyone has finaly read the book unlike some other people who were early

Aurelien - May 28, 2011 12:34 PM (GMT)
I'm not trying to sound snobbish, or becoming a grammar nazi, but it always annoys me when people typed "could of" or "might of" when they're actually "could've" (could have) and "might've" (might have).

Yes, I love Heaven to Wudang! Kylie has a style of writing that really works well when it comes to pacing. I especially like how the ending (not necessarily last chapter) of each book is always really the climax of what was built throughout the previous 400-500 pages. I've read books (and watched movies) that ended up anti-climatic, or worse, just stayed stale. Those were BAAAAAD.

So kudos to Kylie for grabbing my attention from the beginning, maintaining that attention throughout the book, and finishing it with satisfactory ending (that unfortunately made me crave for the next book).

Just be careful because in exams, they prefer the long versions.
Caught me out a few times.
Damn my laziness!

id wish june would hurry up ad get here caus i want to read it now!!!

phoebe - May 29, 2011 10:37 AM (GMT)
I said I always saw him as just another Demon, after all George is the baddest of the bad, thus, the King of the Demons. Or more acurately, the most chaotic and opposed to the heavenly of all the Demons. It is his existance.

phoebe - May 29, 2011 11:49 AM (GMT)
As an aside, I think that most of the forum readers will have had access to the book by the end of June so how about we all try really hard to not put up any spoilers until early July? That being said, I will be away on my honeymoon at that time, so probably won't be contributing very much by way of conversation. Feel free to hold off until August... ;)

Congratulations, Phoebe :) Perhaps a little late, but hey!

From one BtB to another - the best piece of advise I've ever been given was that at the end of the day, the wedding is unimportant. The marriage and the partner you've chosen are what counts.

Green Dragon - May 29, 2011 11:16 PM (GMT)
yer ur right about thst one

phoebe - May 30, 2011 04:25 AM (GMT)
Thanks Manda, I tend to agree with that advise, the partner is what is important. Though, no one had ever said that to me, so thankies. ;)

Btw, congratulations to you too Manda.

Green Dragon - May 30, 2011 06:36 AM (GMT)
its good to know that caus it would work in a relationship with someone caus ud know how and what to do to treat them right

probably the wrong section, jsut a tad bit of speculation to tag onto,
china/asia has all the kungfu and such the shen can fight hand to hand
by the same note would it be reasonable to think of western shen, to be wizards/warlocks and such with more focus on 'energy'?

jaetwee - June 1, 2011 08:04 AM (GMT)
Good point there, it could be relevant with the up-coming possible Shen UN. One might think so,maybe with a tad of the more western fighting styles like boxing.

Green Dragon - June 1, 2011 09:09 AM (GMT)
yay got my new book cant wait to read it and yer good pint on the energy idea about them being warlocks and such a big foucus on enegry and boxing is defenatly used by the west

phoebe - June 2, 2011 08:59 AM (GMT)
Carmen, sorry mate. I can't help you on two counts with the photographer. Firstly, my father was a wedding photographer back at uni, so he is doing the photography for my wedding (saves me about 2-4thousand dollars) and secondly, I live in the lower hunter region of NSW.

The best advice I can give you about your wedding is DO NOT mention the word wedding, my experience is that any venues/florists/suppliers in general pretty much double or significantly increase the amount of money you are spending. It is not really feasable with the venue and photographer to not mention that it is your wedding, but for my reception I just said I wanted to see their normal function rates, considering the difference per head of the most expensive meal rate was 49.50 compared to 70 something, and neither my Fiance or i want alcohol at our reception. I will admit that the main reason I got away with it was because I'm getting married in the middle of winter, when pretty much no one else is crazy enough to do so. ;) Personally I can't see the difference from the venues point of view of a wedding and someone's 50th or something, having worked in events waitressing in the past.

Congrats on your engagement :D

The difference is simply "to charge A LOT" (non-wedding) or "to charge EVEN MORE THAN A LOT" (wedding)

Manda - June 3, 2011 06:35 AM (GMT)
Carmen, congratulations!!

Aurelien and Phoebe pretty much hit the nail on the head there. Unfortunately, most of the time it's really hard NOT to mention weddings, but if you an avoid it, do so.

Perhaps we can create a Chan-Fan Weddings thread in the other topics section ^_~

Having just gone through a wedding as a maid of honor (to another fan, I might add) and planning my own, I have a few hints up my sleeves. Plus I am sure there are other Chan-Fans out there that have gotten married too!

Green Dragon - June 4, 2011 02:11 AM (GMT)
I wonder did any of u seee through the scheeme or not

jaetwee - June 4, 2011 03:31 AM (GMT)
I was extremely surprised at the outcome and revelation that this topic is subjected on. My feelings were dramatically altered towards the subject of conversation. I do hope that a certain action of specific results will take place, led by the protagonist.

I hope that that didn't give too much away, while for those who have read Heaven to Wudang will probably understand what I am talking about.

hybrid123 - June 4, 2011 02:00 PM (GMT)
i was also surprised at the outcome of it

Green Dragon - June 5, 2011 11:38 PM (GMT)

SevenStars - June 8, 2011 11:07 PM (GMT)
Great book!

I was just thinking if the other Shen (western etc.) were on another celestial plane and do not like to come down to the earthly

Nyx - June 11, 2011 06:19 AM (GMT)
maybe the tiger can get the attention of a couple of Western shen. there are some that seem to have a record as bad as his.

the shock revelation about the DK was a big one, in the first trilogy the DK wanted Simon Wong dead, then the second trilogy he sort of does a one eight back flip; that aspect still spins my head around a bit.

shadowearth - June 12, 2011 04:40 AM (GMT)
