Title: Advanced Film Character
Description: With starting inventory only

Richard - May 17, 2008 10:49 AM (GMT)
I spent a moment to duplicate my film character and removed all the built up inventory (bombs, warps etc).

The result is a character with starting inventory only that has been everywhere you can get to with only rocks (on advanced only) hence you can start filming in any of said rooms.

He hasn't been to places which involve permanent alteration of scenery with concealed exits - i.e. he's been to shield, since that isn't very secret, but not to anywhere else that is less obvious.

Edit - oh, I wasted about half a day removing the inventory (hanging around in the swamp to burn off gas!) This way people can still make their own chars if they want with fewer days on the clock ;)

Sweet, this could be handy.

I was going to request you post your advanced film character, then I decided to make one, but I am only halfway done doing what you have already done. So now I don't have to worry about finishing it :P Thanks Richard!

Oh, and I noticed that you left little note papers all over the place! So messy!

I wish once you've read a note once that they wouldn't reappear next time you enter the room. You can always "read the book".

That'd be an interesting variation actually: instead of random regeneration, once you pick up an item in a room, that's it. The item never appears again, no matter how many times you go back.

Of course, Richard would probably top that challenge by offering to beat the game in 60 rocks.
:P

I asked for that very feature for custom levels...

Zack said he would consider it. :D

If I may ask, a tad off topic: how do you get rid of some parts of the inventory, like the shield?
