I said I'd make a picture as soon as I found a pencil. I found 2 infact!

Here's a drawing I just did of a typical guard. I improvised a bit with the skulls and the bolt quiver on his back, but I like it :)



I was originally going to draw an absolutely terrifying looking mutant swinging on a rope with a rock ready to throw, but I thought a guard would be easier in the end. Sorry about the blur at the bottom, I imported this picture with Photobooth and fiddle around with it in Preview. I don't have a working scanner right now.
