I came across this today. The video is the entire last third of the episode, but the review of the original Dark Castle starts at 5:30.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g02mEXkxak8

Wow, nice find!! It was $50 when it came out?! Wow, that seems pretty expensive for a computer game in the 80's.

"...will soon be in color." If he only knew how long THAT one took.
As a side note, I wish the Macs were still made in CA like in that beginning assembly line picture of the Macintosh factory :(.

Yeah, I thought that too. 50 bucks in the 80's would definitely mean that I wouldn't buy it.

"It has graphics?" "It has sound?"
That's... not really much of a review. He says it's difficult, but he doesn't really say whether it's any good.
And how on earth do you charge fifty bucks for a game that was made by four people?

$50 was going price. I remember in at least 1990 when my friends bought NES games, they were all $50. Even a Mac Plus was in the $2200+ range then...it was a different ball game than the $499 bargain basement PC stuff we see today.
