The sound of children’s laughter filled the streets as they proceeded to play with their ball. The cheerful laughter brought smiles on the faces of the people walking around and doing their business.

The ball was then kicked too hard and went rolling down the street. One boy chased after it.

The leather ball slowly stopped right near a large metal boot. The boy paused in his tracks and proceeded to look up at the towering man. The warrior seemed to block out the sun as he gazed down on the boy with his deep brown eyes. The boy was speechless with his mouth hanging down.

He then smelled something foul in the air. He glanced to what the man was holding in his left hand. It was a bag with blood soaking the bottom. The boy froze, staring at the bloody bag. He could only imagine what could be in there.

The giant then placed his foot on the boy’s ball. By pressing down the ball popped. The warrior then walked past the boy, his large red cape slightly lifting up from the wind.

The boy was in so much shock and fear, that tears began to run down his face as he just stood there. His older sister went over and began to comfort him. Many people on the street saw what the warrior had done, but were too afraid to say anything. They just waited until his back was to them and then they would give him dirty looks and whisper behind his back.

The warrior ignored all of this as he made his way to the Tavern. Before he entered, he glanced at the people behind him. They flinched in surprise and all whispering stopped. They pretended like they weren’t following him nor talking bad about him.

With his ever stern face, the warrior walked into the Tavern. It was quiet and dark, unlike most bars. But they all seemed to stop just because the warrior walked into the room. Baron scanned the room quickly and afterwards he proceeded to walk to the counter. Everyone continued their conversations.

The bartender cocked his head slightly as he scanned the warrior who was walking up to him. The warrior stopped at the counter, then asked; “Where’s Orgo?”

The bartender was a bit worried now, thinking this man wanted to pick a fight with someone in the bar. However he wasn’t going to lie to this warrior.

“Over there,” said the bartender, pointing towards a table. Baron glanced at it to see a table filled with men. However one stuck out, he had long brown hair put into a ponytail. He was the scrawniest of them all but Baron could tell he was the leader.

He then walked over to the table.

As he did the men stopped laughing and talking. The leader raised a brow at this man.

“Can I help you?” asked the man.

“Are you Orgo?”

The man hesitated before answering.

“Yes,” said the man.

With that the tall warrior threw the bloody bag on the table.

“There’s your brother, Daro, I believe you put a price on his head,” said the warrior. The men were all a bit shocked, but Orgo grabbed the bag and then opened it. He glanced inside and then smiled.

“Why yes it is,” said Orgo. He looked up at Baron to show him his happy smile. “You’ve just made my day. Would you care to have a drink with us?”

“I just want the money,” said Baron. Orgo nodded.

“Very well,” he grabbed a bag that was next to him and handed it to the warrior. Baron took it and then proceeded to attach it to his belt.

“So mighty warrior may I have your name?” asked Orgo.

“There’s no reason to give it,” said the warrior.

“Why not?” asked Orgo, getting a bit annoyed with this warrior.

“Because there’s a price on your head, and I’m going to claim it,” said Baron. The warriors were shocked at first; but all of them proceeded to grab their weapons.

In an instant the warrior grabbed the handle of his Katana and swung it out, cleaving all of the warriors in half. A huge fountain of blood flew up, staining the ceiling and falling onto the warrior.

The warrior took an empty bag from his belt. He walked over to Orgo’s headless body and bagged his head. He then walked over to the counter and sat down.

“I’d like a beer, and a rag,” said the warrior.

Everyone in the bar was shocked. They couldn’t look at anything else except the bloody corpses. The bartender was even shaking when he handed Baron his beer and the rag. Some people in the bar then got up and left, for they had bounties on their heads.

The warrior placed his head in his one hand and began to rub his temples. The bartender could tell that he was extremely tired.

“Tired from your journeys sir?” asked the bartender.

“Don’t disturb me…” said the warrior. The bartender nodded and then walked a bit away from Baron and continued to clean a mug.

The warrior’s peace was cut short as he heard footsteps behind him. He didn’t bother to turn around, as he just wished they would leave him be.

“Hey, that Orgo you killed back there,” said a man. The warrior ignored him.

“He was our boss, and without him, we get no money or any respect. Especially since you killed his best men too!” exclaimed the man. The people around him started to agree. But yet Baron ignored him once again.

“Hey I’m talking to you!” yelled the man as he pushed Baron on the shoulder.

No one could accurately tell what happened next. All they saw was a red blur and then the man’s head went missing. They heard tumbling sounds behind them and looked back to see his head rolling on the floor.

They turned back to see the might warrior unsheathing his sword, disemboweling many of the men as he did. A fight then began to rage on as the other warriors drew their weapons.

A woman began to walk up to the Tavern with her young brother clinging to her hand. He was the young boy who had encountered the warrior and the older sister wanted an apology from the warrior.

As she walked into the bar, she saw a huge massacre’ breaking out in front of her; the one warrior from before was cleaving through the crowd of men who opposed him. He wouldn’t even let the ones who surrendered live.

In total fear and shock, the woman ran out with her younger brother. She told him to go back to their home. She then went in search of the Monk that lived here in this town. She couldn’t really think why she was doing this, but the Monk was always the one to go to when there was trouble. He was a great negotiator and always seemed to have a peaceful presence around him.

By the time the Monk and her got back to the bar, everything had already ended. The floor was soaked with blood and covered with corpses. The one warrior was sitting back at the counter, enjoying his beer. The bartender was shaking in a corner of the counter.

“That’s him,” said the woman, pointing at the warrior. The Monk nodded and told her to go back home.

He then made his way through the dead bodies to the warrior.

The Monk sat next to the warrior.

“Hello, I’m Barthur, the Head Monk at the temple. I was called here because of a fight you were causing,” said the Monk.

The warrior glared at him to try and get him away. But it did not work. For the elderly monk just sat there with a smile on his face.

“You look troubled,” said the Monk.

“Get out of my face,” said Baron, taking a chug from his mug.

“I’m here to help. I can sense a demonic force about you,” said the Monk. The warrior was surprised that the man could sense this, but he proceeded to ignore him.

“I can help you get rid of it, just come back to the temple with me,” said the Monk, friendliness could be found in his voice.

He started the rub the warrior’s shoulder with one hand.

“You’re not alone, I can get rid of this demon for you,” said the Monk. In a flash the warrior smacked the hand away and then grabbed his hand and bent it downwards and began to push. The Monk screamed in pain and fell to his knees.

“Don’t touch me again old man,” said the warrior. He then pushed the old man down and walked out of the bar, throwing a couple of coins on the counter for the bartender.

As he walked out he came across two more Monks. The warrior pushed them out of his way. Both fell down the steps and he just walked down. However he noticed how they landed and it wasn’t like a normal human being. When they fell, they allowed themselves to gracefully roll down the steps, leaving themselves uninjured after the fall.

The warrior ignored them and then walked away.

The two Monks then walked into the Tavern. They saw Barthur getting up, rubbing his wrist as he did.

They walked over to him and asked; “Are you okay?”

The old man began to laugh.

“I’m more than okay,” said Barthur. The two Monks looked at each other, confused. They then looked back at Barthur.

“What do you mean?” asked the one on the left.

“That man was no other than Baron Kai himself,” said Barthur.

The two Monks were surprised.

“Baron Kai? Here? That’s good news!” said the Monk.

“Yes, it is,” said Barthur. He rubbed his short, flat white hair on his head as he began to imagine his evil deed.

He then looked at one of the Monks who pointed behind him. Barthur turned around to see the bartender in shock at what the Monks were talking about.

“Oh dear, this is unfortunate,” said Barthur. He threw his hand forward and a Kunai stuck into the bartender’s forehead. He fell backwards and died.

“Let’s head back to the temples and tell the others,” said Barthur. The other two nodded and the three began to walk away.

Baron walked into a building that was the Inn in the town. The old man behind the counter looked at him and then flinched in fear. As Baron walked towards the counter the old man said; “Your room’s for free! No reason to pay!”

Baron was surprised by this, but just shrugged and then began to walk up the stairs where the rooms were. But then he stopped and looked back down at the old man.

“Which one is mine?” asked Baron.

“You can pick one!” exclaimed the old man.

Baron nodded and then began to walk back up the stairs, but then stopped again and walked down them a bit and looked at the old man again.

“What’s for breakfast?” asked Baron.

“Whatever you want!” exclaimed the old man. Sweat could be seen on his bald head and face.

“Sounds good,” said Baron. He walked up the stairs with a smile on his face.

He walked up to a door and opened it. It was empty, and seemed comfortable enough. It was a small room; the bed was right in front of him, with a window on the wall next to the bed. There was a dresser and then a chair to sit in.

Baron walked over to the dresser and opened it, placing the bagged head into it. He closed it and then took off his cape and placed it on the dresser. He then took of his armor and placed it against his bed. He leaned his Katana against the wall next to his wall.

He then lied on the bed, not bothering to cover himself with the blanket. The pillow was soft, unlike the hard ground of the wild.

He closed his eyes, completely tired from his journeys. Soon sleep began to slumber over him…

….he could feel the breathing of a woman on his face. He could hear her whimpers. Then he heard a sickening voice saying; “Let’s make you scream, shall we?” What followed was then a storm of painful screams, flashes of bloods and dismembered humans filled Baron’s mind.

He awoke, covered in sweat. He then heard a deep chuckling that filled the room. He looked at who caused it to see a dark figure. All that could really be seen was the skull mask he was wearing.

“I never get bored of the fear and misery you get from this curse,” said Gama, the demon that had been haunting Baron ever since he destroyed the scroll created by the Zetos Clan. Baron just glared at the demon.

“And I never get tired of that look on your face that you give me after each nightmare. How long has it been since you’ve had this curse? Do you even remember?” asked Gama.

“...I’m sick of your ugly mug…” said Baron. He rubbed his temples, trying to get those images out of his memory. Gama went over to him and bent down to look him in the face.

“Do you remember what your life used to be like? Happiness? Love? Family? Or even a decent night’s sleep?” asked Gama. Baron lifted his head, glaring at the demon with hate filled eyes. The demon chuckled.

Baron lunged forward, sending a hammer fist that went right through Gama. The wooden floor was crushed, causing the broken parts to lift up. Baron then grabbed his Katana and sat on the chair.

“Now why did you have to do that? That was a really nice looking floor there,” said Gama, pointing at the smashed crater. “I really liked that floor, particularly that part you just smashed.”

“It was meant to be your face,” said Baron.

“Don’t worry, Baron, we both share the same feelings. I want to whole again for my own desires, and you could even try to smash my face in. But for now, I’m content with just tormenting you,” said Gama.

Baron ignored the demon’s chuckles.

Baron sat in the chair, knowing full well that he wasn’t getting any sleep tonight. The nightmares were too much for him.

He then saw a blurry image outside the window. He couldn’t make it out very well, but it seemed like a hooded man with some sort of weapon.

Not even knowing what the weapon was, Baron jumped out of the way in fear that it was a ranged weapon. And his fear was right, a cross bow bolt shot right through the window, shattering it and then stuck into the wall. The rain poured inside through the broken window.

Soon afterwards a grenade was thrown through the open window. Baron quickly tackled his door and it broke down. The room exploded with flames as the grenade exploded. Baron was just barely cinched.

He got up, ticked off by such cheap tactics. As he did, from the corner of his eye he saw a cloaked man coming up towards him. He was surprised by the man’s stealth.

He turned and faced the man, Katana already drawn. The man stopped in his tracks. He held a very thin blade in his hands and it was shorter than Baron’s Katana.

The man started to shift left from right, as if to confuse or throw Baron off. However Baron remained focused. The man came at Baron with a low strike to his thigh. Baron blocked and then spun his blade around and upwards, slashing through the man’s torso. Blood flew out of him as he fell back dead.

Baron turned around and saw a man swinging a blade at him. Baron moved his head back, slightly dodging the slash. He then countered with a slash to the man’s stomach but the assassin jumped back.

Baron held his sword upright, ready for another attack. He also noticed something very odd. This man was wearing a monk’s robe, as was the other assassin. Baron now suspected that the other Monk he had met in the Tavern could be an assassin too.

The man charged with some wild slashes. Baron blocked them all, surprised by the man’s speed. But every time he did, he would slightly cut the wall. The assassin took note of this, as Baron’s sword was very long, and in this tight hall, it was a disadvantage. Baron saw a smirk under the man’s hood.

The man came at Baron with an upwards slash. Baron blocked it horizontally, the tip of his sword cutting into the wooden wall.

The man than did a daring move, from his slash, he charged forward sending a stab towards Baron’s chest. However the man slid and ducked under Baron’s Katana so the warrior could not stop this attack. Baron was caught off guard and was stabbed in the stomach before he let go of his sword and jumped back.

The assassin took advantage of this and rushed Baron with several slashes. All Baron could do was walk backwards, there was no room to counter.

Baron noticed that the man had wide swings, and even though he was very fast, this could be very dangerous to do with a short sword. When the man came down with a diagonal slash, Baron dove in and slammed his forearm into the man’s chest while also bringing his other hand to the man’s elbow, blocking the slash.

The assassin was surprised by the warrior’s speed. He was then grabbed by the throat and the pressure point in his elbow.

He quickly grabbed onto Baron’s wrist and pressed into the pressure point. Baron sent a kick to his stomach and the man groaned, loosening the hold. By pushing his hand forward, Baron snapped the assassin’s neck. The man fell down dead.

Baron walked down the hall towards his Katana. But as he came towards his open door, a man came out of it swinging his sword at Baron. Baron grabbed the man’s wrist and then round kicked the man in the stomach. He then twisted the man’s arm and disarmed him.

He still held onto the man’s left arm and then stabbed his sword into his stomach. Baron noticed that the sword had no hilt, an interesting weapon that Baron had actually never seen before.

He then proceeded to slam the man into the wall, keeping his sword stuck in him. He then left the man hanging there.

He walked passed the open doorway but then a crossbow bolt shot into his bicep from the room. Baron grunted in pain but dove for his Katana. He turned around just to see the assassin aiming at him with a crossbow.

Baron swung his blade upwards and knocked into the crossbow, causing it to shoot upwards. He then ran forward and stabbed the already lifted blade into the man’s head. He pulled the bloody blade out.

He then lifted the body and used it as a shield as he walked into his room. A man stabbed right into the corpse and would’ve stabbed into Baron if he hadn’t side stepped to the right. The corpse was stabbed into the wall and the assassin could not block the incoming slash. Baron cut off the man’s hands, causing him to scream and fall to his knees. Baron stabbed him in the stomach to finish him off.

He then turned around the corner, an assassin dove at him. Baron parried the slash and then struck the man in the throat with his free hand. The stunned man took steps back, leaving himself wide open. Baron sent a slash right through his torso.

Baron then saw two more assassins in the room as they charged at him. He blocked both of their stabs; he then pushed their blades upwards to throw their guard off. He then brought his sword around to slash them in the stomach. However the assassins were nimble and jumped back.

Baron now began to spin his sword all around in front of him. This move wasn’t an offensive move, but the assassins dared not attack him. Instead, the surprised assassins just took steps back away from the warrior.

The assassins were then up against the wall near the destroy dresser. One jumped to the side where the window was. Baron sent a slash at the one who stood in front of him, but the man ducked under it and rushed at Baron. Baron quickly sent another slash that the man blocked. However he did not realize how strong Baron was and was pushed to the side, crashing into his comrade.

Baron was going to finish them off but was slashed right in the back. He gritted his teeth in pain as he spun around, slashing the assassin behind him. He cut the assassin right across the arm as he was trying to send a stab.

The assassin cried out in pain but quickly reached for a dagger that was attached to his belt. But before he could Baron stabbed the man right in the stomach. The man groaned in pain. Baron then twisted his blade and swung it out, splattering blade against the burnt walls.

He turned to face the other assassins who were now on their feet. He quickly dove at them with a slash. But of them blocked, but the force of the attack pushed all threw of them into the window. The wall was so burnt and brittle that part of it broke off, causing the three to fall down into the hard streets.

However there were haystacks just below them, breaking their fall and causing them to roll over on the ground.

The fall had put some strain on Baron’s injured back, so he had some trouble getting up. One of the assassins got up before him and stabbed him in the left shoulder. Baron grunted in pain. Baron quickly grabbed the man’s pressure point in his wrist with his other hand. The man quickly let go of the blade, and somehow managed to break free of Baron’s hold.

Filled with rage, Baron dove forward, sending a mindless punch into his stomach. Blood flew on Baron’s face as his fist broke right through the man’s stomach. The assassin behind him saw Baron’s fist on the other side and screamed; “What the hell!?”

The stabbed assassin was in complete shock. Baron lifted him up and then swung him off his arm. His entire arm was drenched in blood, and now his left arm was almost completely useless being that there was still a bolt in it and a blade in his shoulder.

The other assassin took steps back in a defensive position.

“You truly do have the demon Gama in you!” exclaimed the assassin.

Baron pulled out the blade and threw it at the assassin. He blocked it and then blocked the bolt that Baron threw at him. The warrior grabbed his Katana with his right hand and charged forward.

The assassin was ready but was fast enough, as Baron sent three lightning fast slashes at the assassin. Blood flew out of him as his body fell backwards.

Baron panted as he looked around in the rain. He looked all around the wide alleyway he was in.

“Anyone else? Huh? Who else!” yelled the angry warrior.

Baron walked out of the alley. His left arm was leaking blood from where the bolt had been. And his right arm was covered in some else’s blood. He held his Katana in his right arm as he walked back into the inn.

The inn keeper was still up, and was reading a book in the candle light. However he was surprised to see Baron.

Baron ignored any questions the man asked, and just proceeded upstairs. He went into his room and noticed that his cape had been completely torn apart by the explosion. However his armor remained. He then put it on and headed back into the hall.

“You did a pretty good job on killing these guys, however they did give you quite a challenge,” said a deep voice. Baron stopped dead in his tracks and did not even turn around to look at Gama.

“…These men know that I’m cursed…how?” asked Baron. The demon shrugged.

“Like I know? I don’t even know who these fellows are, however they seem to not like you,” said Gama.

“…Why? I don’t have a bounty on my head. The only reason I can think of would be that they are after you. After all, they know that I am cursed by you, and since the assassin said that after I punched right through his comrade with inhuman strength, they must know that being cursed by you will increase their strength and their speed,” said Baron.

“Oh good job, I guess you’re not as dumb as you look,” said Gama, chuckling.

“…But they must not know the bad side of the curse. I can’t imagine anyone willingly to bear it,” said Baron. He then made his way down the hall.

When he got back downstairs, he walked towards the counter. The inn keeper was a bit scared.

“I need some bandages,” said Baron. The inn keeper nodded as he grabbed something under the counter. He then handed a First Aid Kit to Baron, his hands shaking as he did. Baron took it from him and began to bandage up his wounds. As he did, he got directions to the Temple, where the other monks were. However Baron did not answer the question as to why he wanted the directions. Afterwards he placed a small bag of coins on the counter.

“That’s for one night stay…and the mess upstairs. But I didn’t blow up my room, so I’m not paying for that,” said Baron. He then left the confused inn keeper.

Baron then walked out of the Inn and began to follow the inn keeper’s directions. Baron made sure to keep a lookout for any assassins on the rooftops or inside buildings. However the darkness of the night made it hard to see.
But as he was staring at one rooftop, there was a flash of lightning, revealing an assassin atop the builder. He was aiming an arrow right for Baron’s skull. Baron quickly rolled backwards as the arrow stuck into the ground.

He then ran into an alleyway, hoping to avoid the assassin’s arrows this way. However there was an explosion right behind him, mostly from a grenade the archer could’ve thrown down.

The explosion did not engulf Baron; it threw him forward and slammed him against a building’s side. The warrior groaned as he fell on his back.

The assassin was looking for Baron in the alley as he stood atop the roof. A flash of lightning revealed Baron to be lying on his back. He quickly got an arrow and fired it into the darkness. He smirked with pleasure, but it was soon wiped off as another flash of lightning revealed the arrow to be sticking into the ground.

The archer then spun around, thinking the warrior had some how gotten up here. He then walked into the center of the roof and began to look all around him. He wanted to be sure that Baron wouldn’t be up here.

He then screamed in pain as something hit his spine hard. He fell on the ground, and then felt a sharp cold pain in one leg. He then felt it in the other and then rolled on his back to see Baron standing above him. He also noticed that his legs had been stabbed right through the bone, rendering them useless.

He glared back up at the warrior.

“I’ll never tell you anything!” yelled the assassin.

“I didn’t ask for information!” hollered Baron.

Baron then stabbed the man in the groin, causing the man to holler in great pain. Baron then began to hack down on the man’s torso. Blood flew from every swing.

He then stopped, seeing that man had practically torn apart. He panted as he looked onward, towards the Temple.

He knew that his best route would be atop the rooftops this time. So he began to run and jump across them.

Barthur paced back and forth, wondering why it was taking the other assassins so long to bring back Baron.

“Worried are we?” asked an old monk who was sitting on the pews.

“Shut your trap, Gorton, we’ll have that man soon enough. Even if I have to personally take him out,” said Barthur.

“Then why didn’t you? All of us know that he is possessed by that demon Gama, and it increases his body’s skills. His speed, his strength, and his wounds even heal quickly. And since he is part of the lost Kai Clan, that means he is a great fighter as well,” said Gorton.

“I know that, but our men should be good enough to take him out,” said Barthur.

There was a scream and a crashing noise as an assassin was thrown through one of the windows high up on the wall. He fell down and snapped his back. Gorton and Barthur both looked up and saw Baron Kai standing in front of the shattered window.

Baron Kai then jumped down and landed right near the corpse. He glanced at Barthur and recognized him from the Tavern.

“Who are you guys?” asked Baron. Gorton then began to laugh as he got up, using a cane to support himself.

“You fool, you’ve lured yourself right into a trap,” said Gorton. Right as he said that a bunch of assassins began to surround Baron.

All of a sudden they charged right at him. Baron unsheathed his sword and spun in a 360, cleaving through them all. He then began to spin his sword around him and cut down anyone who ducked or jumped over the slash. Blood flew everywhere.

Soon all the assassins that surrounded him were dead. Baron began to walk through the pews towards Gorton.

Another assassin jumped right in front of him and sent a stab for his stomach. Baron jumped backwards, his sword was too long to block low blows in the pews. The assassin continued to send low blows with his blade and Baron dodged them all by jumping back.

He then placed his left hand on the pew and lifted himself over to the other row. He then spun around and decapitated the assassin.

Baron felt a slash along his back, opening up his previous back wound that had already begun healing. He grunted as he spun around and tried to decapitate the assassin. However the assassin ducked under the blow and jumped forward with a stab. Baron jumped back, nearly dodging it and then sent his blade right down on the assassin. Blood flew right into Baron’s face.

Out of fear of another opponent behind him, Baron spun around with a slash. Blood flew out of the assassin’s neck as his head rolled off.

Baron saw three archers up ahead, so he grabbed the corpse and used him as a human shield. The arrows stuck right into the dead body.

Baron ran forward towards the archers, all the arrows sticking into the dead body. He got out into the opening of the pews right in the middle of the sanctuary, right where the archers were. He went in front of one and then stabbed his Katana through the dead body, plunging right into the archer.

He then pulled the bloody blade out and faced the other two assassins. More arrows stuck into the body. Baron then threw the corpse at one archer, knocking him down. The other archer reached for an arrow but Baron quickly grabbed the corpse of the archer he had killed and threw it at him. The archer was knocked over.

Baron ran at the archer whom he had thrown the corpse at first, and decapitated him as he started to get up.

An arrow then shot itself into Baron’s side. Thankfully though, his armor helped protect himself from serious damage.

Baron ran at the archer and slashed his arm before he could fire another arrow. He then swung his blade back around and cut the assassin in half at the stomach.

Gorton began to laugh again.

“Ah yes, I can sense the demonic force in your soul. It stinks of innocent blood, innocent blood that was taken forcefully for selfish desires,” said Gorton.

“Oh he is good,” said Gama.

Baron looked around for Barthur and noticed him going behind the altar. He began to walk down some steps. Baron took some steps forward to go after him but Gorton stood in front of the exit in the middle of the pews.

“Don’t worry about him, he’s just going to prepare the ceremony that we need to bring that demon out of you,” said Gorton. Baron smirked as he continued to walk towards Gorton.

Gorton dropped his cane and then reached inside his left sleeve and pulled out an axe with a chain attached to the bottom of the handle. He began to swing it around him, showing how long it was.

He then threw it at Baron. The warrior immediately caught the axe by the handle and then pulled backwards. Gorton fell forward, grunting as he did.

Baron looked behind him, knowing full well that these assassins liked back attacks. He saw four assassins coming up behind him. They stopped in their tracks and got into a defensive position.

Baron ran at the warriors, sending slash after slash. Each one dodged him, but could not counter for their blades were too small and his blade was long. Soon one saw an opening and took it. He came at Baron with a stab. In an instant Baron saw it and swung his sword upwards at the assassin. Blood flew up as he did.

Baron then spun around slashing at another assassin. He knew that they would try a back attack right after a frontal assault. The assassin ducked under the blade and came in with a stab. Baron side jumped to the right and round house kicked the assassin in the head. He rolled to the side and got back on his feet.

Baron made sure all three of them were in front of him, knowing full well that it was a bad idea to have his back facing them.

He then rushed at one at incredible speeds and tore right through him with his Katana. He then ran to his left and chopped the other one in half along the waist.

The other assassin was amazed at his speed and wasn’t quite sure what else to do, being that his allies were taken out so easily.

Before he could act, he too was sliced in half.

Baron stood over the bloody corpses; a shiver of pleasure rain down his spine. He was enjoying killingly, a lot. He licked his lips clean of the blood.

He then turned to face Gorton who had drawn his blade. Baron smirked at the feeble old man. Baron then ran at the assassin. Gorton readied himself for an attack.

Right when Baron was five feet away from him, he jumped clear over the old man. He came down facing Gorton’s back and sent a swing for his neck. The old man rolled forward and then came back at Baron with a stab.

Baron knocked the blade away with his blade and then swung it back and chopped the old man’s left arm off. Gorton screamed in pain, and then Baron chopped his right arm off. The old man fell on his back, almost in shock.

Baron then stood above the old man and looked into his scared eyes. Baron lifted his Katana up and brought it back down, stabbing him in the stomach. The old man tried to scream but all he could do was gurgle as blood rose into his throat.

Baron then pulled his blade out and walked away from the old man.

Baron walked towards the stairs behind the altar. Baron knew he was going to tear that man apart with his bare hands. He would do the same things to the other assassins. And he knew he would be laughing cheerfully.

Baron then stopped in his tracks.

These were thoughts that had never entered his mind before. He would never think of killing his opponents in such a cruel way. Sure sometimes his anger got the best of him and he thought of doing cruel things to them, but it wouldn’t give him pleasure to think of it. Not in this way.

“…Gama…what the heck are you doing to my thoughts?” asked Baron. The demon let out a full hearted laugh as he came out from behind Baron.

“I’m not doing it, you are,” said Gama. Baron glared at the demon.

“I would never find pleasure in these things!” snapped Baron.

“Now you do, after all, you embraced the power of the curse,” said Gama.

“What is that suppose to mean?” asked Baron. Gama began to circle Baron.

“The curse increases your strength, speed, agility, healing, and all that good stuff. But what’s even better, is that it corrupts you, so you want to kill. You need to kill. You thirst for the taste of hot blood,” said Gama.

“Shut up!” yelled Baron, gripping his Katana tightly, wishing he could kill the demon right now.

“Don’t let your anger out on me; let it out on those cowards. Show them what it’s like to mess with you, show them your hatred,” said Gama. Baron just stood there, knowing full well that was what he wanted to do.

“You don’t even know how great it is to have this power. You have the power of death on your side, but you seem to refuse it. And I was beginning to think you were smart,” said Gama, chuckling.

“…I bet if I give in to my anger, then you’ll have full control over my body,” said Baron. “You would like that wouldn’t you?”

“No way, your body is hideous. And besides, anger can go controlled. If you do control it, you can be as calm as a deer, but as powerful as a hurricane,” said Gama. Baron still didn’t believe the demon.

Gama got closer to Baron, and then whispered; “Remember the pleasure of their hot blood on your lips. Their screams were like ballads, and their fearful faces were works of art.”

Baron walked away from the demon and went down the stairs.

“…I guess you’re mind is made up…” after that, Gama let out a laugh.

Baron continued to walk down the stairs. He was ready to slaughter the assassins who started this fight.

He then got to the bottom of a hall. There were two torches on the walls. However he avoided them and began to make his way down it.

All of a sudden, smoke filled the hall. Baron could tell that it was sleeping powder.

The assassins that threw it watched the smoke cover Baron.

“I think he’s out, it only takes a couple of minutes to put someone to sleep,” said one assassin.

He and another assassin then made their way to the smoke. But before it cleared Baron ran out of it and cleaved right through the assassins. Blood flew at the three other assassins as they were filled with shock.

They drew their blades but one had already been struck down. Baron swung at the other two but they ducked under the attack and both came at Baron with a stab. He jumped back and blocked their other attacks.

Baron kicked one of their blades away and then grabbed that one assassin by the throat. The other one tried to save his comrade by stabbing Baron, but ended up killing his comrade as Baron used him as a shield. His comrade’s blood splattered on his face.

Baron then swung his sword and cleaved through both of them.

Baron smiled with pleasure. The smell of blood and dread filled his nose. He then glanced down the hall to see another assassin coming down. The assassin had a lit grenade in his hands. He then threw it at the samurai, but Baron side-stepped out of the way. The grenade exploded behind him as the warrior ran at the assassin.

The assassin drew his blade and dodged Baron’s first slash. The assassin was going to send another slash but Baron countered with incredible speed. Blood flew from the body as it fell on the ground, dead, and in half.

Baron then sighed with pleasure. He felt free somehow, almost like he wasn’t being held back.

“So…this is what Gama was talking about…” said Baron.

Baron then walked down the hall, looking for Barthur.

“Now you understand?” asked Gama.

“Yeah,” said Baron. “This…feels good.”

Baron then saw two assassins come running down the hall. The two assassin’s came with slashes at Baron but Baron was faster and cut them down.

Baron ran down the hall, ready to finish this. He then saw a door to his left. He kicked it open and then two assassins came running at him. Baron blocked their attacks and then quickly countered. Blood flew from their bodies as they fell back into the room.

Baron rushed into the room. There were nine assassins and then Barthur, who was standing near a table that was in the shape of a human body. Chains were around it, showing that it was suppose to hold someone down.

“Impressive Baron, you’ve managed to kill my best men!” exclaimed Barthur. Baron smirked at the old man.

“Let’s finished this,” said Baron.

Three of the assassins charged at Baron with a storm of slashes. Baron blocked them all, but could not counter as their attacks were well timed and flowed one after another with great speed.

Baron decided that he had to attack at some point, so he jumped away from their attacks and then sent a slash at all three of their heads. Blood flew out of their bodies as their heads rolled off.

Baron then ran at another assassin and chopped him in half without any warning. Barthur didn’t seem surprised by the warriors speed and strength.

One assassin ran at him with a low slash to his legs. Baron blocked and pushed the man’s blade to the side, leaving the assassin wide open for an attack. So Baron brought his blade back and slashed him along the chest. The assassin fell down dead.

The last four attacked Baron with swift moves and started to surround him. Baron smiled at their feeble attempt. When they had fully surrounded him, he jumped clear over one and landed behind him. He slashed the assassin right in half.

Baron rushed forward at the assassin in the middle of the other two. He sent a vertical slash down on the assassin. Surprisingly the assassin blocked but was smashed against the wall. Baron let go of his Katana with one hand and then grabbed the man under the chin with four fingers. In one mighty push he ripped the assassin’s jaw off. The assassin fell down in great pain, and Baron finished him with a stab to the heart.

Baron spun around with a horizontal slash, knowing the other assassins were going to try and shank him. Their heads flew off, their blood sprayed on the surprised Barthur who had just barely dodged the attack.

Baron smirked as he began to walk towards the assassin leader. Barthur walked back, prepared for any attack.

Then all of a sudden he dropped his blade and fell to his hands and knees.

“I’m sorry! Please don’t kill me!” cried the assassin. “I am no match for you alone! So please, have mercy!”

“So you rather die begging like a dog than fighting?” asked Baron. Barthur looked up in fear, realizing that death was inedible.

“No please!” begged Barthur. He rose up his hands in mercy to Baron, but the warrior ignored it and raised his Katana.

All of a sudden Gama ran at the assassin. He reached into the man’s ribs with his hands. Barthur began to scream out in great pain. He then began to gurgle as blood flowed out of his mouth, then his nostrils, and the blood then forced his eyes to pop out. The room was filled with Gama’s deep laughter.

The white skinned corpse then fell to the ground, completely drained of blood. Gama rose to his feet.

Baron was completely shocked. Only because he couldn’t believe that Gama could do that.

“…How…the heck…did you do that?” asked Baron. Gama looked at Baron and chuckled.

“Normally I couldn’t, but if you install enough fear to cripple a man, then I can use my powers to give him a most painful death,” said the demon with pleasure. Baron took steps away from Gama.

“By the way, we’re not alone,” said Gama. Baron instantly looked to his left to see someone standing at the doorway.

It was a woman. She had long white hair that covered part of her pale face. Her eyes were crimson, and she wore a black and red tunic with a black cape.

“…There you are…Baron Kai,” said the woman. Her lips curved into a smile.

“Who are you?” asked Baron.

“I’m a Vargr, you can call me Shadi,” said the woman.

Baron gripped his Katana. Fangs could be seen in her mouth.

Baron did not hesitate to attack, he rushed at her. All of a sudden she widened her eyes and Baron gazed into them. He then couldn’t move. He was frozen in place.

Shadi grabbed onto her Katana and then ran forward, unsheathing it and then cutting Baron along the stomach. Baron flinched in pain, and suddenly he could move. But all he did was fall to the ground. Blood poured out of his stomach. The blade had cut clear through the armor he was wearing.

He then saw her black boots walk up to his face.

“Pathetic, I’ll just leave you here to die. You can think of how useless your life has been as you bleed to death,” said Shadi. With that, she left the room.

Baron began to feel lightheaded, everything was spinning. Soon darkness took over everything.
