Build: Slender, with a naturally defined musculature.
General Description: (Basic idea, sorry for not providing an image) Wears a formfitting, black leather outfit, that covers his entire body from the neck down excluding his arms, a pair of fingerless black gloves and likewise coloured steel tipped boots. In his civilian guise, he frequently wears sleeveless shirts (ranging from black and grey to various shades of red) and a simple pair of jeans.
Personality: Kane possesses many of the qualities of a natural born hero, kindness, generosity, and a clear sense of what is right and what is wrong. However, he is very insecure, feeling that he is unworthy of holding any kind of power, let alone the power already bestowed upon him. He tends to hide this well however, by acting cocky and regularly making sarcastic quips in the presence of other’s. Although this façade tends to cause other’s to consider him as a bit of a jerk, deep down inside he is deeply afraid of disappointing the people he’s close to.
Powers: Super Strength, Regenerative Healing Factor, Enhanced Senses.
Weaknesses: Magic, extremely loud noises and excessive amounts of light. Large scale regeneration also tends to greatly exhaust him.
History:
Born January 21st 2010, in Northern Scotland to Connor and Marian Matthews. While his father, considered everything in his life, his vast fortune, his beautiful wife, and his lavish estate, to be true blessings, his son was the one exception to the rule… From a young age, Kane learned that he would never be able to please either of his parents.
He was never a great athlete, never a genius, and he wasn’t exactly the Don Lothario his father had envisaged his perfect son to be. But although the odds were always stacked against him, he kept trying to earn their favour, but he just couldn’t make the A-Grade. So one night, just after his sixteenth birthday, he finally snapped. He hotwired his father’s favourite car, and crashed it into a tree, without attaching his seatbelt. He’d completely given up.
On finding his vehicle completely totalled, his father at first was filled with rage, but on seeing his son, limp and lifeless inside it, he was instead filled with sorrow and remorse. His overly critical nature had deprived him of his only child. His wife soon divorced him and left him after that, finding that they couldn’t conceive another child.
Distraught, Connor began to waste away the entirety of his wealth in an attempt to do the impossible: Bring his son back and have a second chance of fatherhood. He tried everything, cloning, séances, pagan rituals, preserving him as a cyborg… Nothing worked. He lost all he had on a fool’s errand, and became destitute.
But one day, while he was sleeping on a bench in the streets of Glasgow, a lone figure, clad in a grey cloak that obscured all of his features, made his way towards him. Handing him a necklace with the image of a wolf etched into it, he told him that if he were to place this artefact on his son’s corpse, that all he wished for would come true… That and more. Following the being’s instructions to the letter, he dug up his son’s grave in the dead of night, opened his coffin, and wrapped the talisman around the neck of his decomposed body. In a flash of blinding light, his son’s body immediately disappeared from his resting place.
One year later, Kane awoke in the wards of Gotham General Hospital, alive and well. His body had completely reformed, but he was struck with total amnesia. All he could remember was a lone voice speaking to him within the confines of his mind, telling him three simple things: “You are Kane Matthews, you are my avatar among the living. You will do justice.”
