I know a lot of the unit members and others who visit the forums have a 360 and a live account, but there is no dedicated thread for everyone's gamertag and game list. So here we go. If anyone finds this objectionable or in the wrong place, feel free to remove / edit / move the thread.
I like everything to be as automatic as possible without having to put in countless hours writing code or editing a post, so I present these tools at our disposal:
1) The Gamertag: ! add
The 506th PIR !
Xbox Live does not allow for "Groups" in the way steam does, but there is a work around to that. By adding the user
The 506th PIR to your friends list, you can go to guide - friends - click on
The 506th PIR, - Personal Profile - View Friends and see everyone else who has befriended the unit, along with what game they are playing and inviting them to a Party/Game. This cuts down on filling your friends list and having to add every single person to your friends list, when you can just add one. As of now I will check frequently for new invites.
2) The Form:
Form HereThis form contains text boxes for you to input your forum name and gamertag name in, along with check boxes for the current top playing Xbox Retail and Arcade games. The last two text boxes allow you to add any other multiplayer games that you would like to play on XBL.
3) The Database:
Database HereThis database is where your form information goes, and includes the information of everyone else who has filled out a form. It allows for quick checkup to see which members have the game that you are interested in playing. Unfortunately, the options are to give public access to edit the database or no access, so if you wish to update information you can PM me with the changes or fill out a new form. The database is updated every five minutes.
NOTICE: While the intention of this thread is to allow easier communication between 506th members over Xbox Live, it is not directly related or enforced by battalion HQ. Any questions or comments should be directed to Grabowski [506th PIR]. Unit rules should be followed at all times. Any form of harassment or inappropriate conduct from other members occurred should be reported through your chain of command. Improper usage will subject to removal from the Xbox Live Friends list and database. Anyone dishonorably discharged or banned from the server may be removed from the friends list, depending on reason.
