there's not really a whole lot you can do with a name like chase, so he doesn't really have any. and he will not answer to goody, for all of you who know his middle name.

haversfield, massachusetts is where he was both born and adopted.

if he were to continue 'agreeing' with his adoptive parents he'd be gewish, baptist, whatever they decided on, but to be honest, he's somewhat of an atheist.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY?
being in any position of power. the feeling of dominance. playing the nice guy in most company and doing his best to remain amicable. the gain of anything that could make him more powerful, like lets say the share of someone else's power. living recklessly. control. cool weather. open wounds. the taste of metal. and, truthfully, he'd like even something so simple as a long drive or a walk with someone, especially if he needs to cool off. he also has a pretty good relationship with guys like jack daniels and captain morgan, i.e., he likes to drink every now and again. he likes the adrenaline rush of things like: competition, fast-paced thrill rides, and the sense of danger.
WHAT DO YOU NOT ENJOY?
being under anyone else's instruction really. not getting what he wants. the fact that every time he uses he loses a little bit more of his life and can never get it back, not to mention the fact that he wasn't made aware of that little section of the unwritten rules of the power. having any of his own belongings tampered with. the thought of growing too much older. having to wear the pants that his spenser uniform requires, or the whole damn uniform for that matter. his lack of genuine companionship. losing anything, be it an object and certainly if it were a person close to him. and, not that he would admit it, the way his temper has grown since his ascending. ascension was meant to be a great turning point in his life, but it seems to have resulted in a lot of chase's problems, both emotional and physical, and to him it just doesn't seem fair in the slightest.
WHAT DO YOU FEAR MOST?
he does actually think about the fact that he could one day severely injure himself by using sometimes, not neccessarily by over use but just by making a simple mistake. having his true intentions and/or his bloodline found out and being directly ostracized for it.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS IN LIFE?
being able to live the way he wants to, meaning that he can use whenever he so pleases and not lose more and more of his life. and due to the likelihood of that being so slim his intentions would be to seek some sort of revenge for not having ever truly been informed about the effects of his powers by trying to take from others what they have that he thinks he never could have otherwise. he would also like to finish his last year of high school, maybe go to some college, or see where his life takes him from there. since his ascension and the death of his parents he hasn't given himself enough time to develop anything more than a fair amount of pent up rage, so he kind of let the whole 'what do you want to be when you grow up' question fly out the window..
WHAT ARE YOUR QUIRKS?
his use spiders for most situations he is rather competitive, no matter the situation, but can somehow maintain his attitude and restrain himself. he has somewhat of a violence problem. he happens to possess a great style of seduction. also, he has a tendency to try and sound witty and often ends up sounding more pretensious and some of these comments wind up rhyming unintentionally
WHAT ARE YOUR HABITS?
his addiction to using. being able to deceive virtually anyone. he usually chooses to either walk or take 'alternative routes', meaning that he will use, to get to any one place, which does not help his whole addiction issue, but he lacks the obvious necessity of a vehicle. he can unintentionally put himself in between people and when it comes to those in a relationship there tends to be a great deal of animosity that is directed at him. plus, he can flirt with the best of them, if he does say so himself, so that probably attributes to the whole thing.
WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS?
considering he has already ascended and has had more time to work with his power, chase has acquired a great deal of talent with using. he's able to manipulate a number of things, create virtually whatever he finds necessary, he's gotten so strong that sometimes when he uses the effects are so major that any other son is able to sense it. he's learned how to use certain curses, spells, and he has learned how to use darklings and uses that to his advantage; good or bad. unrelated to his inherited power, chase is a very independant person; he would be able to survive on his own with virtually no help from anyone. however, that does not mean that he wants to be alone at all times. all of that and he also has a decent work ethic. sure, he doesn't always enjoy homework or anything of the sort, but he will always find a way to get it done efficiently. chase is a pretty dependable kind of guy.
WHAT ARE YOUR FLAWS?
there's always that creeping fear that chase could become an addict; sure, it was pretty much destined to happen with his gaining power, but it's possible that anything else that comes his way that feels half as good as using could swing him to more addictions. chase has a bit of an anger problem, sometimes it can even lead to violence. on occaison, his vision will get a bit fuzzy, making it somewhat difficult for him to see things from too far away, like blackboards in class. but, chase doesn't think it's that much of a problem and since he doesn't exactly have any parental figures to adress him about the matter, it probably won't be remedied any time soon.
WHAT ARE YOUR TURN ONS?
he really likes mouths. a guy with full lips can definitely get his attention. he wouldn't mind it were attributes of a girl either, he's just had a little bit more luck with males in that department. he likes it when the person he's with isn't afraid to be aggressive with him. another plus would be dark hair, extra points if it's got a little length to it so he can tug on it. also, chase likes to be kissed in public, but if that can only be left in private he would like it to be pretty damn good.
WHAT ARE YOUR TURN OFFS?
chase has a really good sense of when he's wanted and when the person is just putting up a show for him or trying to use him or whatever they're intentions may be he's usually able to tell. and in turn that can set him off a bit. he doesn't enjoy people who try too hard, like say, girls who wear too much makeup or look really fake. with guys, that typically isn't the case. he hates feeling like he's done something wrong. if he even thinks the person he's with isn't enjoying whatever he's doing it can kill his mood.
TELL ME ABOUT YOUR HAIR.
chase's hair is a very dark shade of dirty-blonde with a brownish tint, short in length, has a natural wave or curl about it, and is normally styled with product.
WHAT ABOUT YOUR EYES?
the colour of his narrowly rounded eyes is a bright, icy blue. their heavy-lidded look can come off as very commanding and intense at times.
WHAT IS YOUR BODY TYPE?
chase's height is six foot, one. he weighs a hundred and eighty-four pounds. he has broad shoulders, a strong build, and, for lack of a better word, superior pec muscles.
WHAT IS YOUR CLOTHING STYLE?
he prefers to dress in a more formal fashion. he wears faded jeans and thin button-down shirts. when he's feeling more casual he'll throw on, generic, form-fitting tee shirts. he owns a great number of jackets and coats, any from khaki to denim to cotton, which he must wear with their collars in an upward fashion. his collared shirts are worn the same way as well.
YOUR DISTINGUISHING FEATURES ARE?
his seemingly squared jawline. his full dark peach/rouge-coloured lips. he has a number of noticable freckles over the expanse of his relatively pale skin. his powerful eyes, and that devilish smile.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
like it has been said before, chase hasn't really had a chance to sit down and contemplate what it is he would want to do with his life, which doesn't exactly make him feel too competent, but he'll deal with it. if, for some reason, he feels he can't stay in ipswich, he'll probably travel to wherever the wind blows him. hopefully, he will be able to find some sort of income because who knows how long his inheritance can last him. but, one thing's for sure, he can never picture himself in some fancy-type job. although, certain ones would have their perks. if he were to be in a position of power he'd be pretty content, but he just doesn't want to be one of those guys who go to the office everyday out of obligation. that could only bring him more stress and he would want an occupation that he won't despise to its very core. who knows where he'll find that.

his birth mother, morgan pope, died when he was two years old and he was put in an orphanage soon after. his adoptive mother, gillian susanne collins, fourty-one, passed away in a recent car accident.
WHO IS YOUR FATHER? HOW OLD IS HE? WHAT DOES HE DO?
his birth father, jacob pope, was out of the picture before he was born so he never knew him. his adoptive father, arthur douglas collins, fourty-three, was also pronounced deceased after the same car wreck involving his mother.
DO YOU HAVE ANY SIBLINGS?
the one sister he has yet to be made aware of, dodger binx, who is two years older than him.
ANY OTHER RELATIVES I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
he hopes to become close enough to the sons for them to feel like his brothers the way they behave with the rest of the covenant. but other than that, none.

he just moved to ipswich, he hasn't had the time to find one yet. besides, it's not one of his top priorities just yet.

he recently transferred from one private school, hastings in haversfield to another, spenser academy.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR PAST!
the second child for morgan and jacob, chase goodwin pope was born eighteen years ago on july fourteenth. this time the couple had actually meant to get pregnant, unfortunately they had seperated before their little boy was born due to personal reasons. the two of them lived pretty contently, with no evident need of the boy's father figure to fulfill their family environment. terribly, one afternoon, his mother was found dead on the floor of their home. she had apparently been suffering from walking pneumonia for some time and it had finally caught up to her. since the boy's father appeared to be unable to be tracked down, there was no other option but to put chase into an adoption program at the nearest orphanage. not long after, a loving and particularly affluent family had adopted young chase. as the adoption was finalized, arthur and gillian decided to give the boy their surname of collins, but they left his first and middle names the same. (chase hopes that they rue the day they left him with the name 'goodwin').
for the next several years, he lived with these people in a relatively 'normal' family setting with next to no qualms. although, even when he was younger there was something that he could sense about himself that he hadn't been able to figure out. once he had turned thirteen years old, he was able to uncover that missing piece of his puzzle. at thirteen, he developed the beginnings of his powers. all of which was incredibly new and foreign to the teenager. not only were these new gifts scary and completely unwarranted, but they were incredibly inviting and dangerous. he was now able to do about whatever the hell he could possibly wish with this newfound ability. sure, at his age it started off as smaller, more simple tasks; turning electronics on and off, fooling his friends with 'dissapearing acts' of magic, taking things he wanted without anyone's noticing, those sorts of things. but as his talents developed more and more, his scope of his new realm of possibilities did too. as he grew older, chase began to find more unorthodox things entertaining; things that most wouldn't really ever have the urge to do. he would implore of his gifts to allow him to do things like stealing, messing with people's heads, and even sometimes he would wind up hurting certain people if they gave him even the tiniest reason to want to. for instance, if he were to be playing some sort of game with a friend and he lost and the other person would begin to jokingly goad him, chase would cause something closeby in the room to fall on them and give them a little scare if not any injuries. somehow though, his parents were never the wiser. he had no intentions of telling them that he had 'magical powers', hell, he didn't even really know what he had gotten. he just assumed it was something similar to telepathy or telekinesis or something freaky like that that he had no care to learn about.
oh-so-abruptly one summer day, the day of his seventeenth birthday actually, a mister jacob pope came knocking on his door. this man, a complete and total stranger to chase, had something important he felt compelled to tell him before he could turn eighteen. the name definitely rang a bell in the boy's mind, but the face didn't match up so well. this guy was supposedly his birth father, but he had done the math in his head and logically the man would only be around forty, maybe fifty, something. this person looked to be ninety going on dead. but, that was only the beginning of chase's confusion. the man proceeded to tell him about the covenant his and four other families' ancestors had made several years ago and what that meant for he and his heir. this was the cause of his newly-attained powers. this new information intrigued him until they got to the part about ascending and the fatal consequences of using afterward. this was one of those things that really got to the young boy; one of those that could totally set him off. it was a major life-changing sort of thing that someone had neglected, for seventeen years, to inform him of and now he had no chance of doing any preparing or doing anything to fix something about it. he didn't know what to do, but luckily for him, his father was more than willing to help him out with one next step in his life. jacob pope had grown far too aged and sickly and in the process had acquired a great deal of depression. upon his deciding to visit his estranged son, he made the impulse decision that he would offer him his share of the power. true, this wasn't quite the fair trade off, but he thought it was the least he could do, and he wasn't so sure that he was willing to continue living the way he had been. he just wanted to put an end to the tragic life. of course, chase jumped at the offer, not entirely comprehending that it would result in the man's immediate death. in his mind, he figured that if he had another share of the power it could aid in his aging more slowly.
the next decisions chase had made may have not been the greatest in hindsight, but there were on more than impulse and forged by his emotions, which at the time were less than happy. infuriated with his adoptive parents for reasons he pretty much manifested out of nowhere; he suspected that they had known all along about his real parents and his father's condition and what would happen to him. of course, they hadn't, but they had no time to tell him that. one snap, enraged thought proccess lead chase to the conclusion that he had the option to do away with these people had done nothing but lie to him his whole life, which he thought was horribly inhumane on their part considering the effects of the powers.
so, after his adoptive parents were tragically killed in a car 'accident', chase picked up his life and went on his way to find the rest of this alleged covenant. this lead him to where he is now. attending the private boarding school of spenser academy in ipswich, massachusetts.
