• By joining COVENANT OF IPSWICH you are agreeing to follow all of these rules.
  
• Each person is allowed 4 characters on this site. If you would like more, permission from an administrator must be given. Also, please keep in mind gender variations. If you want more than two characters, they shoudn't all be girls or all boys.
  
• We will have an activity check every month to make sure that your character is active. If you miss the period to check in, your character will be suspended for two weeks.
  
• Each person is only allowed two canon characters, unless otherwise advised. Even though we love creative members who make originals, if there are still canon characters that are not being played, please consider adopting them before making nothing but originals.
  
• Be original – no celebrity names (yes, that does include character names from television shows).
  
  , the registration
  
• No, you may not use names like darkling666 or covenant_lover. You must register with a First, and Last name, use proper capitalization.
  
• Avatars should be 150x200.
  
• No overly large signatures. The preferred method is simply two rows consisting of four over four icons. No animated icons, please. If you do not wish to use icons, please keep your signature image 400x200.
  
• This code should be all you need to make your signature properly. Take and edit as necessary:

• This board is rated NC-17, which means if you can't deal with sex, drugs, violence, or whatever else will be posted up here, I recommend you find another site. You have been warned.
  
• OOC fighting will not be tolerated. You do it, and we have the rights to ban you from this site. You may, of course, fight In Character while posting, but fighting with a character's handler will produce reprocussions and there will be consequences. You must also clear it with the person (via PM, presumeably) before you take any physical action involving their character to be severely injured, or anything of the like. Use common sense and courtesy people.
  
  , the application
  
• No Mary Sue's or Gary-Stu’s. As this is an advanced board, we expect the characters to be well developed. This means there have to be flaws and points of weakness. Things they are good at, things they detest. Nobody’s perfect, not even we admins which – yes – is hard to believe.
  
• Before your application is accepted do not post anywhere else.
  
• Your character must be represented by a person. Not a drawing, but an actual person. It can be an unknown model or a celebrity face. {provost} After you have chosen one remember to claim it in the Face Claim.
  
• Whether you get accepted or not depends entirely upon on your application. Don't just rush through it – actually work on it because it can help you determine who your character truly is.

• As stated before this is an NC-17 site. However, to be courteous to those who want to join the site but avoid its mature contents, remember to mark the thread with a warning. Just a simple [M] at the begining of your topic title for 'mature' will do.
  
• Sex // Pregnancy – as mentioned above if there is sex involved in the thread, write [M] in the topic title. Pregnancy is a reality so keep up with whom your characters lay with. Keeping up with reality also means that males do not have the capability to be pregnant, so if that was your plan, find another way to produce an heir.
  
• Cursing is allowed, but please don't make it a first language for your character. No one goes around cursing all the time.

• God-modding is a definite no. If you don't know what that means, look it up. Though I have to wonder how long you've been role-playing. So, just avoid it unless for some reason it has been approved by an admin.
  
• This is an Advanced role-play site, which means that the posts must be lengthy and well written. A minimum of two (5-9 sentences) paragraphs per post. As for grammar, try and keep it at a fairly high level. We understand that people make typos but a post riddled with errors is not what we're looking for.
  
• Admins have the final say. No matter what.
  
• You may advertise for other sites, but only in the advertisement board, not on your signature or in any of your posts.
