The Skaters have their very own inside woman in Hollywood, and getlost was able to see some pilots for shows starting in the Autumn. Here's her reviews of 'Heroes':

I saw the Pilot over the weekend, I wont give away too much but here's a General review:

First off...Watch It. Totallly worth it.

The premise is that people all around the word start developing (or tapping into) powers they didn't know they had...it seems to happen around a total eclipse of the Sun, but they leave that open to interpretation.

The Major players are: Professor Sufera (which I will call Professor McHotty). While teaching a class in India he gets the news that his father has been killed in New York City. His father a brilliant professor was working as a Taxi cab driver while he reseachered human genetics and mutations, the science world thought he was bat-sh*t crazy. But his son, makes the trip to NY to prove his father right and honor his memory.

Clarie, a highschool cheerleader from Texas - is indestructible. She's blonde, pretty, the homecoming queen and is launching herself from water towers and runnig into burning buildings just to see if she could harm herself. She can't. Her story is very cool.

The stripper from Las Vegas (forgot her name already). Her image in reflective surfaces can "split" from her....essentially she can twin herself. The catch is I'm not too sure her reflection twin is Good.

Peter - nurse in NY who thinks based on some intense dreams he's been having , he can fly. I wont say more - it's a pretty cool storyline.

There are a few more characters, I didn't write down anyone's names, but there's the Artist that can paint the future and the Japanese geek who can teleport.

The really cool thing about this show (other than it's written great and acted perfectly) is that the people this is happening to have no idea why and don't know how to react. They don't all run off and decide they need to form a Justice League or even help people. They're scared, confused. At the end of the Pilot you get a definate sense of where the series is going even though all the characters haven't even met up yet.

They take a few pointers from LOST. The Japanese guy only speaks Japanese and all of his scens in Japan are done in subtitles. Some of the charcters "cross" each other without truly meeting.

I really enjoyed it. I give the Pilot an A. Hopefully, it'll find it's audience.

I missed the first few episodes, though (misunderstood the tvguide) and the last ep because I set the recorder wrong. :7 If you like it, you might like the new comic called newuniversal, too.
