Feeling exhausted at all thatd happened Luke was just glad that he got to spend some quiet time resting with Eni on the plane ride home. It seemed fair quiet with everyone more or less keeping to themselves at that point and were trying to get a little relaxation going. His mouth was still numb from the treatment that hed recieved in the automatic doctor and he was content to just sit by Ens side and cuddle up with her for a while. At one point he got up and gave Nadi a kiss on her forehead and said "Make sure you have Grief look at that when you get back cousin."

When they were getting off he put his tongue to his teeth to make sure they were back in place firmly. Changing from his outfit to his streetclothes he got off of the plane and walked besides En for a while. "Wanna kip off and go do something love? Feeling tired but Im up for sommat if you are."

Tara had taken the seat beside Evie on the flight back to the academy. Though at the time was unable to say anything, back at the school she felt her eyes water behind her goggles. She smiled back at Evie, comforted by her immense capacity for compassion. For the first time in a long while, she felt like someone was there to look after her when she needed it. "Th-thank you..." Tara managed to get out weakly, though she really just wanted to throw her arms around her roommate and hug her.

Tara sniffled slightly. "S-sorry," she apologized for her quiet and awkward behaviour as she was lost in her thoughts. "I'm... I'm okay for now though. I was going to take a few minutes in the auto-doc units too. M-maybe we should just make sure Mr. Keller is really okay?"

Darien moved with Megastar, now that he wasn't needed at the hospital. "I'm ok. About a month or so ago, I was looking at a time when I was going to die because of my powers." He hit a wall, while running, a got more strength. While Megastar started cleaning up, Momentum followed, and did the same. "Since I had to leave school, and, you know, was dieing, uh...Esper shouldn't have to deal with that, you know? Ever."

Darien stopped in front of Megastar. "Hit me, would ya?" Momentum moved to the next car. "But today, they let me go. I found out I was going to die and I was even stronger. Wierd world, right?" Darien smiled, even though his mask was on. ""How about you? you doing ok?"

"I'm f-fine," came Keller's voice from the front of the plane as he was powering the jet down, "g-good thing this puppy has autopilot. There w-was a bad guy, early eighties, called N-Negavolt. Hit my s-swingline arrow with a blast, nearly k-killed me. A l-little rest, some Auto-Doc, I'll be g-good as new again. Y-you get yourself checked out first. After all, I'm u-used to this kind of thing. T-that's why I'm h-here to teach y'all."

A punch that Darien could tell had been pulled was enough to give Momentum his full charge again, and Megastar's eyes went a little wide when Darien talked about dying. "No shit? Dude, comparably speaking, I guess I'm doing pretty good. I'm dating Poltergeist and the Big Guy is going to be bringing me back in as a part-time training assistant for you guys." Looking thoughtful as he flipped a pickup truck back over, he paused for a few moments and said, "You know you should probably tell her at some point, right? Especially since you seem to be doing better now, she kind of has a right to know if you two're really serious about each other."

Darien paused for a second, and in his hand, he had the ring. "I know, man. I didn't realize all this was going on today. I got out this after noon and came to tell her I loved her." The ring disappeared again. "I got back to school and Malveaux told me what was happening, so I grabbed some supplies and ran here.

Darien ran up a building and threw himself off, to power himself up. "I found the guys with Archer and trying to helpthem before I found Esper. When she she I was here, she suddenly dissapeared. I thought it was me, at the time. I didn't realize later what had happened. I didn't learn she had been hit until after they were leaving. I thought she didn't want to see me anymore, so i was going to stay here. Now I know that isn't the case, but if I run back, I'll be there a few minutes from when they get there, so it won't be a problem."

Darien hoped. Maybe more than he should have, but he wouldn't know yet. "Poltergeist is really nice. You and she are doing good right? You look to me like the man who won it all. What makes you feel bad about things these days?"

Nadia smiled, looking a pale. She winced as he doctored the wound only once, gripping his hand in hers firmly. She nodded as he offered to clean her wound later. "Thank you, she said to him, and settled into her seat next to him, her head dropping onto his shoulder as they flew. She was growing more and more tired as time went on, perhaps as a side effect of having the other exhausted students nearby.

Once they landed she headed off the jet, a little dizzy but okay. A touch of the ring changed her from her suit into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. "I'm going to go lay down," she said, "If I come across Chad, I'll ask him to fix it," she promised. She headed to the elevator and headed to her bedroom. Once inside, she kicked off her shoes, took off her jeans, and crawled into bed to rest for a while.

Evie hugged her brother, "Get plenty of sunshine," she told him in German, "I will find you later." She turned back to Tara and said, "Little one, you are okay." She put an arm around Tara. "Come to the auto-doc and relax. It cannot be all bad. You will see the sun will still shine." She guided Tara to the table and helped her hook up if she needed it, petting the girls hair in a motherly fashion.

Once Tara was relaxing, Evie turned to Ethan Keller, her hands on her hips. "Mein Geliebter," she said, switching to German, "You need to heal just as much, if not more, than anyone else here. I refuse to leave or rest unti you have done so." She took his hand, "Just because you were able to get by without help in the 80s does not mean you can now. The world has moved on, and you will get your teacher self onto the AutoDoc, and show us that no matter how strong we think we are, we all need help." She pulled him toward the table and once he was at the table she started to hook him up. In English she said, "Please rest for a while, Süsser."

Alex smiled at Gordo as he touched her neck, "Ah'll probably hit the cafeteria with ya. Ah'm a bit hungry too." She loaded off the plane. She was a bit worried about Keller but if he thought he could handle it he probably could. She wasn't going to make those decisions for him. Deciding to leave him to care for himself she headed toward the elevator. She took off her suit and headed up to the cafeteria wearing her usual ripped jeans and a-shirt. "What are ya goin' ta be eatin'?" she asked Gordo. She was probably just going to have one of her shakes and head to the gym for a workout. She was pretty tired and she was entertaining thoughts of having a shower and taking a nap before she got her workout in.

Waiting until Tara had been put in one of the two Auto-Doc machines first, Ethan complied with Evie, not really feeling strong enough to put up a good argument at this point. And she was right: being in his early fourties definitely made a lot more of a difference as to how he felt after suiting up and going out against people that could toss buildings around with their brains and everything.

Getting into the Auto-Doc machine, he said, "I will. Thinking it's comfortable enough... I'll even take a nap in it. Once I wake up, I'll come find you, let you know that I'm doing okay."

Looking a little surprised at Darien's question, as well as the fact that he'd bought an actual ring for Nadia, Chris shook his head. "I really don't have anything to complain about at this point, man. Things're looking pretty up. About the only thing that I have any problems with right now is Thunder. That guy's been a pain in my ass since I got into a fight with him about six months ago. That, more than anything, is the reason that I couldn't get signed onto the League. Not that I even want to anymore. Word in the grapevine is they're thinking of taking things global on a permanent basis. They may as well, though, they're never in fucking Freedom anymore."

Still looking at Darien while he lifted up a massive piece of fallen building, he said, "I'm not trying to be a know-it-all or anything here, man, but just from experience? You might do better with a nice locket or a pair of earrings or something than a ring. That's a pretty heavy thing, especially with that kind of cut and clarity and a band like that. Usually has a lot of connotations involved that can scare the shit out of people, especially since you're both still kinda young, you know?"

"I don't know, really. I'm thinking some skinless chicken breast, spicy veggies and maybe a protein shake to down it all with." Thanks to his powers, Gordo wasn't really feeling too bad at all from their little excursion. People had gotten it a lot worse than he had, way worse. He too was thinking about working out after he got finished eating, but he would probably only do half of his regular exercises because they'd been out running around already today. "I don't know if you were planning on going or not," he said, "but if you wouldn't think it's too stupid, I'd like you to be my date to the Valentines Day dance. It's one of those social event-y type things that I'm actually pretty good at, the dancing."

Tara exhaled slowly, the tension packed into her muscles dripping away in a wave of relief pass through her. Her eyes drooped, heavy, as her true exhaustion clambered to the surface. Even some of Tara's worries seemed to be pushed back with Evie's gentle hand brushing down her hair.

"Looks like Evie knows best, eh Mr. Keller?" said Tara softly, muted by her fatigue. She smiled at her roommate, feeling that perhaps the mission hadn't been a total loss if it meant she could open up to Evie. She couldn't understand what the other girl had said in German, but it was apparent that she had convinced Keller to take things easy and patch up a bit.

"Thanks Evie. I... really needed that. You've been taking care of me and Mr. Keller, make sure you take some time for yourself too, k?"

Darien thought about Megastar's words for a few seconds. "You know, if they want to defend the world, the really really big stuff...let 'em. You and a few other people we've met can do it. Ya'll're good, and just as good as the Freedom guys. I mean it."

Darien smiled at Megastar, but then his own situtation came back to the fore, putting his smile away again. "Believe me, I know. The ring really was meant to be THE Ring." Darien knew this had been foolish, and looked it. "I've been old for years. watching people dieing and sick and hurt and shot and all that. Everybody I knew, they eather wanted me to the guy helping them live or they were wrestlers. And then I met Esper and she didn't need me for anything, but we started knowing each other, and I found I loved her and I thing she loves me and...and I was going to die, and then...I wasn't, you know? I got out like an hour after learning I was going to live. I was so happy, I got the ring and went to find her. Now, she wasn't there. I don't think it would have been good. So now I'm with you, while i try to think of a way to not think about the ring, you know? I know I need to see her, get her to see me, but I don't want to scare her with this, so I'm trying to keep my thoughts from getting out, even if only for a while."

"But in a few minutes, we'll be dune here, so I'll be going back. Maybe it'll work, or not. I don't know.I'll do the best I can."
