You Are Not A God
Basically, don't move, kill, speak for, or in any other way do something to a character without either the players or the GM's permission.
Example 'Phantom glared at Killjoy, then punched him in the face, immediately drawing blood...' NOT ALLOWED. Unless its in the middle of the JP, or you have permission to make such a bold statement from the character's player or have had it adjudicated by the Admin or Mod running the thread, this is absolutely forbidden. A better version, and the version allowed would be 'Phantom glared at Killjoy and threw a punch, her entire weight behind it. If it landed he would certainly start to bleed.' See how there's an option for Killjoy to avoid it? Catch the fist? Maybe get hit but not bleed? We resolve combat behind the scenes so it's fair to everyone, and it avoids the whole "I hit you!" "Nuh-uh!" "Yuh-huh!" type of scenario.

We Are Mostly PG-13 or R
While we obviously are fans of gore and violence, and cursing is allowed, the thing we rather not see is erotica. We, as adults, are well aware of what occurs when a man and a man, man and a woman, or woman and a woman are attracted to each other and have enough free time to express it in a primal manner. And, as people who rent movies wth explosions and slaughter rather than porn, we rather read of lost limbs and profanity than of penetration or the like. Fade to black is great, and inference of a little nookie is more than acceptable.

Death is Final
This isn't Marvel, and your character isn't Jean Grey. If you die, you die, and that's the end of your part in the story. As Admin we reserve the right to kill your character in gory, possibly vomit inducing ways should you leave the game or prove to be unwilling to follow rules. While zombies could be possible in the game (and your character could be raised as one should we kill it off), and resurrection of NPCs can occur, PCs will NEVER be brought back just as they were before they died. It's feasible that, due to a story arc or something, a very recently deceased character might be able to be healed/hit with defib paddles or the like, but don't count on it.

On a side note, don't do anything stupid. If your character is not a demolitions expert, I highly advice not having them try to disarm a nuclear bomb. If your character is not fireproof, they'd be advised against them swimming through gasoline then lighting a cigarette.

Player Vs Character Interaction
  • Player information should never take part in the game. If you know someone's powers by reading the bio, your character certainly doesn't. Unless your character is psychic, they can't read minds. Also, don't simply assume that your character can do something that you're really unsure of; if there's a doubt, PM an Admin or Mod, and they'll get back to you quickly.
  • All players will be respectful to one another. If you hate someone or think their writing sucks to the moon, limit your interaction with them out of character and save yourself some grief. But your character has nothing to do with your hatred, and shouldn't be used as a platform to express it.
  • Any player who treats another in a horrible manner OOC will be reprimanded for it if we're apprised of the situation and given verifiable proof, and could possibly be kicked off the game. This includes harrassment (verbal, sexual or otherwise) and stalking, to name two big ones.
