Quick paws fished out a creature covered in glittering scales, pushing the soft life from the water, biting into the slimy thing only once, releasing it from the world before she bit again, ripping flesh from tiny bones. Anae was hungry. And as yet, she had not met wtih the Alpha. So why not hunt for herself, just for a short meal, before she was set on heavier duties?

The fish flopped around accidentally when she moved it, nearly falling back into the lake before white female caught it again, snapping it up shut in closed jaws, swallowing whole. She never minded bones. Perhaps that's why she got along so well in the desert. You used everything, because it was so rare to find food.

Hmm. What was the pack's leaders again? Anae honestly couldn't remember. Blast, but she did have quite a horrible memory. Oh well. When she'd meet them, she'd know their names.

This looks like a nice place to start rping again so here we go! Wow...this is probably the longest post I've had in a while
|In Character|
Aeris walked along the outside edge of the rigid lake. It looked like a nice resting place after her long journey from the healer ,Ifara's, den. As the fae's first task she had been ordered to remove a certain brute from the sight of almost all the pack. It hadn't been in her top priorities to help the fallen Agemo but it was her order.

Finally away from the complaining Ithiral it was time for the tense she-wolf to relax. The fae walked over to the banks of the water and peered in. Her reflection stared back and she chuckled. Dipping her muzzle into the water she lapped up some refreshing cold fluid. She lifted her head and she could feel the water running down the back of her throat. She sighed in relief and looked out over the lake.

It had been morning when the fae had last eaten. She gazed across the rippling water hoping to find a nice fish to devour. A few bubbles protruded from the surface. "Impecable timing" Aeris said as she licked her lips. The medium sized fish swam nearer to the banks. The she-wolf clawed at the water and the small area where the fish had been turned murky red. She pulled the animal out of the water and bit into it making sure it had deceased.

"Delicious" she said once again chuckling. She tore a bit of meat off of the bones and chewed savorably. Swallowing the first bite she tore off some more meat. She layed down to finish her meal. After licking the bones clean she pushed them back into the water so that the horrible smell of dead fish wouldn't stink up the area. The fae layed her head down to rest and glanced at the area. She couldn't see anyone. She closed her eyes and tried to get some rest.

Upon reawakening the fae scanned the area for any sign of movement. She stood and shook the slumber from her system. Looking up at the position of the sun it seemed to be mid afternoon. "Quite the refreshing nap" she said smiling. Ever since finding a home within this pack she was happier and much more aquaintable. Aeris sat and scratched her neck with her hind leg. Many thoughts swirled around in her mind as she tried to focus on one.

The thought of a family caught her attention. The fae's enlightening expression faded as this came up. She was entering the age where an important decision was needed to be made. It was start a family or perish alone and end your family's name. She sat and wrapped her tail around her rump as she frowned. What if she never found a mate and she did die with no pup to her name. She turned away and shut her eyes trying to close out the thought.

'No need to worry' she said to herself. 'All will be fine. There are few who die without finding that one special wolf' she was confident that it would be alright. She smiled and shook off the thought. The fae stood and padded around in a circle by the banks of the lake waiting for something to happen.

OOC: I hope you don't mind me hoping in here for an introduction, rather then make a brand new post...heh, perhaps Fenny's lovable character will get the bad taste of Ithiral's personality from your maw xD

IC:
The day was beginning to draw to a close, and a rather lovely sun crept down the sky, the faint glow of the moon visible just above the treeline. All this beauty was not lost upon the orbs of a rather...rotund wolf.

Such a beautiful place... Fenrir KAr said, smiling happily as he made his way across the snow, his rather plumb belly and rear swaying alittle from side to side. The sight of this pudgy fellow was quite comical, really. One does not usually expect a wolf to grow to such a large size, let along most of that size made up of flab. But here he was, a living testament of the power of an appetite.

Just then, the chubby canine stopped in his tracks, noticing the form of a wolf trodding around the lake. Funny, he thought he smelt two wolves around the area...perhaps the other was on the other side of the river? Regardless, the wolf ran, puffing, over to the wolf, who he could now tell was a fae, thinking something was the matter.

Good evening ma'am...I saw you wandering about...is everything okay? he asked, not realizing that he looked rather out of place: a big fat loner, randomly approaching a wolfess he didn't know, and asking if she was okay. It would be interesting to see how this wolfess reacted to this odd fellow, who's tail was wagging softly against his substantial rump.

The fae looked up from her solemness. "May I ask your name before answering your question newcomer?" Aeris asked trying to sound sincere and kind. She stood and looked at the new wolf inspecting him. He was just a little overweight but had handsome features. His legs looked very masculine but the fat around his belly made it hard to believe.

Bits of stray grass stuck to her paws and the morning dew was still a midst. She rubbed the grass off of her paws and looked up at the newcomer as if nothing had happened. The clouds rolled across the sky as it was still afternoon. A small chill traveled on the breeze making the fae shudder.

OOC: Heh, perhaps...but you'd likely die trying with the way he eats xD

IC
Fenrir Kar eep'd softly. Hwo stupid was he not to introduce himself to a lady? O-oh, so sorry ma'am...the name is Fenrir Kar he replied, bowing softly in respect to her before continuing, I've been travelling around these lands to see as much of this wonderful world as I can see...and perhaps find a nice place to call home... The last part of his sentance trailed off abit, as the pudgy wolf didn't want to come off as begging for a place to stay.

I do apologize if I've interupted anything though, ma'am. Fenrir said with a kind smile, If you would prefer for me to be on my way, I would be more then happy to comply. However, if you'd like some company, ol' Fenny would be more then happy to spend some time with a beauty such as yourself. The wolf's remarks about 'A beauty such as yourself' may have been the same words a wolf like, say, Ithiral would use, but Fenrir said it simply as a complement, not a rude remark.

Sitting down, the wolf's rump pushed into the snow, leaving a rather wide imprint in the snow. He had a huge smile on his face, and for apperantly no reason. The fat wolf was just one of those happy characters, it seemed.

The fae smiled politely. "Obliged to meet you Fenrir, I am Aeris, the Lead Roirraw of the pack that claims this land." she said proudly. Ot sounded just slightly that she was bragging about her rank. She smiled and sat down. The fae looked out across the lake. "So, you are set out for a home too?" she said chuckling slightly. "Who isn't these days? I'm sure if Teraku likes you, you could join our pack and stay here. But that is between you and he." Aeris smiled friendly and looked at her reflection in the slightly murky lake water.

OOC: First, I think our tables are messing up the page again D: And second, yes I have ^^ My favorite ficton book, by far!

IC:
Fenrir chuckled happily. Aeris, is it? A lovely name, to be sure. It is certainly a great pleasure to meet you Aeris. It was good to have finally found someone around these parts that seemed to have a bright attitude...or was at the least in a good mood.

You really think the alpha would let a tub o' lard like me in? he laughed, grinning. He liked to joke around, and his own girth wasn't a topic he skipped when doing so. Well, if it was possible, I would love to have a chat with him! But one thing at a time, I suppose. I only just arrived here, after all. I don't want to be a bother. Pivoting on the spot, Fenrir walked over to the edge of the water beside Aeris, and looked into hsi reflection.

Hmm, who's that handsome looking brute I see down there? he said, clearly joking around, and began to make exaggerated facial expression, stroking the bottom of his muzzle with his paw, giving off the impression of a self-obsessed narcissist. Of course, he was joking, and soon he was laughing, and pawed playfully at his reflection, causing his image to dissapear in a volly of ripples.

Aeris' muffled laugh was carried away as the breeze began to pick up. It blew against her side scattering each strand of fur in a different direction. She dipped her maw into the lake and lapped up some cool water. The fae sighed as she raised her head. "Just a little extra around your middle" she said chuckling. "It can be easily extracted" she smiled and jumped backwards.

The she-wolf bent the front end of her body down shaking her rump in the air playfully. She jumped backwards again signaling for Fenrir Kar to follow. She bounced around and weaved through the trees that bordered a small bank clearing.

OOC: I'm really sorry....I didn't mean to highjack your thread D:

Glancing to his side, Fenrir caught a glimpse of the femme's rump waving in the air playfully. Trying not to be rude, the fat wolf quickly averted his eyes. Suddenly though, Aeris jumped up and began to run off. Fenrir quickly followed suit as she motioned for him to follow. W-wait! Wait for me! he puffed as he ran, doing his best to follow her. He jiggled around abit as he ran, and must have looked rather...humourous, to say the least. Luckly for his heat and lungs, though, the two of them emerged from the trees. Fenrir quickly jumped to the the wolfess' side. You...run aweful fast... he wheezed, plopping onto his belly.

Sorry for the absence!

lICl
Aeris laughed and fell over on the snow laughing. "Well in a fit shape you to could run that fast". She smiled at her rude compliment and smirked. The she-wolf let out a final chuckle and stood. She turned around and dipped her maw in the water. Aeris took a good long drink and felt it run down the back of her throat. She lifted her muzzle from the lake and sighed. The sun began to set below the horizon. You could see the smooth blend of colors above the earth. The fae smiled and layed down on the bank of the lake. She turned over on her back and stared into the deep set of pastels swirling above in the sky. "Beautiful isn't it?" she said sighing once more. The sun moved slowly but surely down below the end of the world. Soon night would come and all would go dark. The stars would come out twinkling above all that lived.

Panting, Fenrir stood up, shaking some of the snow from his body. M-maybe..." he wheezed, and took a seat as the femme took a drink from the river. Slowly, the beauty of his surroundings began to sink in, however, and his eyes drew forward towards the setting sun. So much beauty in these parts, he said, and one of them was laying right next to him. A small chuckle left his maw as he thought about that.

"It is beautiful." the plump wolf remarked, and smiled towards the fae, "I always loved watching the sunset when I was a pup...its been awhile since I've had the chance to just sit back and take it in..." Laying down beside her, Genrir sighed happily. "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to watch." he added, and very gently, hesitating a little, nuzzled her shoulder gently.

ooh la la! Lol
|In Character|
The fae smiled. "Well I guess staring mindlessly into the deep sky appreciating it's pastel color may be a waste of time" she chuckled. "But taking a break from everything is good for one's soul every now and then". She rolled over onto her stomach and laid her head gently onto her paws. The collection of colors in the sky began to fade away slowly as the sun took its last peek at the world.

Aeris sighed. The day had seemed to go on forever and finally now it was time for rest. She smiled and situated herself in the snow. The quiet breeze winded through the trees and skidded acrossed the thin layer of ice that protected the waters below. One by one the stars poked out from behind the clouds creating the stunning night light that shone dimly over the world. You could hear the nocturnal life beginning to come alive as the moon began to appear.

The fae looked at Fenrir. Here he had come just this afternoon, and here they were now. Close as brother and sister. She pondered the thought, the brute had not yet been accepted by Teraku. What penalties would this bring upon herself? She decided that in the morning she would take him to the alpha for inspection. Aeris really hoped that Fenrir would meet Teraku's standards but for now one could only wait and see.
