Aeris stopped padding and turn to the sun. It was just about in the middle of sky high above everything. She looked back at Ithiral who was limping not far behind her. She walked on turning around a large boulder stuck in the middle of a group of trees. There behind it lay a small den. The fae sniffed around the area to try and track the aroma of the healer. She found a scent that was fairly recent. She poked her head into the den and looked around for the she-wolf. 'Ifara' Aeris said glancing once more before turning to look for Ithiral. She looked back at the den and backed out. 'I have come with a request for a healer' She said softly. The fae wasn't sure that the healer would remember her but none the less she would surely be willing to help the pitiful brute.

Morning dew touched upon the nose of the sleek ebony healer. Her ears perked up as a single drop slid down to enter her slightly parted muzzle. The taste was stale, and it was suprisingly warm. It was probably due to the heat that filled the den. She swallowed quickly, trying to ignore its taste. She blinked once before opening her dark golden eyes to their full width. Around her the den had been widened until the soil had parted to reveal dark bedstone.

Veins of mica and crystal were shot through it. They would sparkle if this part of the den was open to sunlight. In her mind, she thanked Zephyr for the job. It seemed to be a lovely day, even though cold, judging by the amount of sunlight that flowed downwards from the cave entrance. The angle of light was sharp, indicating it to be midmorning. Light hardly ever came from the front of the cave, most flowed downward from the back.

The cave entrance was built to be warm in the winter and comfortable in the summer. Heat was trapped in the back of the cave and bubbled up into her small "room", making the temperature agreeable. Her sight wandered the the back of the cave where an opening was cut in the rock by a long-ago turn of the Akiimna River. It was difficult to see the full extent of the opening, but it was fairly large. She jumped down from the ledge she slept on in her "bubble" of warmth, and wandered towards the back of the cave.

The exit to her special herb gathering spot was roughly large enough to allow two wolves through. For a moment she glanced outside, thinking proudly of all her plants. They had not been placed here by her, rather some pair of paws had used some manipulation of the land to create a spot where many herbs grew, even in winter. The outflow of warmth from her cave permitted this. They were even sheltered by a rocky overhang that did not prevent them from being touched by sunlight.

'Ifara,' a call raeched her from the front of the cave. She vaguely recalled the voice as one of the new members of the pack, "I'm coming!" she returned exiting the herb gathering spot to re-enter her den. The slender dark-colored female slid through the opening to her den to face the new-comer, "Hello...er...Aeris?" It was more of a question than a greeting. 'I have come with a request for a healer.' The female said. Ifara's head cocked, looking around.

Next to her there seemed to be a lump that was more hurt than wolf. "Well you've come to the right place." she said, looking sorrowfully at the wounded creature. Her sense of smell identified him as a male, but her mind was filled with questions from the moment she laid eyes on him. 'What happened to you?' she thought.

Ithiral had long collapsed near the enterance of the healer's den, unable to walk through the pain any longer. Breathing only very faintly, the he-wolf passed out, overcome by pain and exhauston. Before he had pasted out completely though, he had seen through his completely blurred vision a figure exit the ground, and conversing with Aeris, although he couldn't tell what they were saying, and wether or not the creature was even a wolf. He passed out almost immediatly fter, hoping with the last bit of his consciencness that she would save him.

The female watched the wolf collapse with a saddened expression on her face. She walked closer to examine him. His wounds were terrible. He was lucky to be alive and have her with her winter store of herbs. She turned upward to look at the other she-wolf, "What are the circumstances of his injuries?" she asked, her voice filled with deep interest, "Did he do this to himself or was there a fight?" The female mentally kicked herself. She should get more updates on pack life. She was nearly as removed as the Naia.

She walked closer to him, her step driven forward by unease. Carefully, she nudged him with her nose. He would need diffrent medicines if his wounds were by accident. There was soething unerving about getting a wound from the wild.

Aeris looked at the heap of wounds laying at the entrance to Ifara's den. "This cowardly brute got himself in a tight spot with Teraku. I was ordered to find him somewhere else out of the Alpha's sight. So I brought him here." the fae murmured. She poked the fallen brute who seemed lifeless laying there on the snowed over frozen ground. She looked back at the healer. "I wish to leave him in your care. He is none of my concern and never was, so please take this pitiful animal and work your medicine with him." Aeris took one last look at Ithiral and started to pad away. She turned and glanced at Ifara. "I thank you dear healer." she smiled and ran off into the distance.

Where she would go now was a mystery. Aeris figured she would just wander looking for some action or perhaps another friendly pack member to travel with. After all from personal experience wandering around this vast packland alone was very depressing. The fae also hoped to find a mate. She had been alone for so long she had forgotten what it was like to love. Aeris pondered the thought of pups and decided that maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea. She slowed and looked up at the sky. The ivory colored clouds moved their way slowly across the deep blue sky. She smiled and looked ahead. The plains seemed to continue on forever. As the fae gazed out at the horizon, she had the feeling that here in this pack, everything would be fine.

OOC: Poor guy D:

IC:
A soft moan exited Ithiral's muzzle as the wolfess healer nudged his body. Slowly, as Aeris left him, not caring in the least for his health, the creature slowly opened his eyes, staring into the face of what seemed like an angel of mercy...or was that death?

H-help...me...p-please... he moaned softly, softly placing his head on the snow.

Her heart melted at the sight of the pitiful wolf. He was almost doomed to die—what had he done to Teraku to deserve such injuries? The cut on his jump was deep—certainly implemented by Teraku. It was his signature method of causing the most pain to a creature. She had seen it apparent on prey, especially when anger had latched itself onto him. Ifara looked at him with pity, “I will help you.” she said, “There are no restrictions on who that I am allowed to heal.” She walked around the wolf, trying the resolve a way to make him more comfortable. There was no way that she could drag him into the den—that would be uncomfortable for them both. Blood had already begun seep into the snow around him, and it hurt her heart to see it. Swiftly, she walked closer to him and pushed away the layers of snow with her paws and muzzle. She didn’t cringe even as blood stained her muzzle, no matter how uncomfortable it was to have the sticky stuff forming a thin layer over her nose.

After a few minutes of work, a small area clear of snow had formed around the he-wolf. She nosed his flank after completing the first step of her work; it was a symbol of how she felt for the poor creature. Ifara whispered softly, placing her muzzle close to his ear, “I’ll be back soon.” she said. A quick moment later, she vanished into her den, remembering the extent of his injuries and searching for the perfect remedies. She first stopped at a small hole dug into the dirt. Spiders had settled here and left, leaving behind a great amount of sticky web. It would be perfect for slowing and stopping the blood flow. Only from there, could she begin her work as healer. Quickly, she dipped her paw into the sticky mass, ignoring the crusts of various insects, and withdrew a small wad of the silvery substance. She examined it for a moment. Though the wad looked small, it spread out, and this would be enough for his wounds.

She exited the den and stretched the mass of web over his wounds. Her paws were slightly bloodied by the movement, but she overlooked it, preferring to think of the good that she would do. Ifara’s eyes filled with happiness as sunlight flashed against the silver webs. This indicated that it was doing its job. The blood flow lessened as she watched for a moment, prompting her to exit and search for the herbs to actually heal. She slipped inside the opening to her den for the second time that day and wandered out the back entrance to take stock of her winter herb store. It was a pity that it was winter—she didn’t have much. There was mostly skunk cabbage—and that wasn’t good for anything. She pulled her lips back from her teeth in annoyance and curled her tail slightly. A small patch of thyme creeped against the very edge of the stone, and her eyes flashed. This was good fortune. It would help the he-wolf relax a little, and she plucked a small sample with her jaws wide open.

Her steps began a small pile of herbs. She added a single poppy seed and a spring of marigold. Very carefully, she picked them up, taking care not to ingest any of it. That would not be healthy for a wolf in perfect condition. It took far longer to exit the den than normal. A sweet scent wafted up her nostrils as she reentered her den and she suddenly remembered a key herb that she had left in the garden. Ifara carefully placed the herbs on the ground and whirled around. She leapt delicately through the exit and removed a spring of goldenrod with the delicate fangs at the front of her mouth. Pawsteps returned her to her pile of herbs and she gingerly picked them up again. A few moments later, she was on the outside of the den, herbs intact in her mouth. They were almost beautiful in their haphazard pile on the snow. She looked at them sadly, however, there were so few.

Be cautious in chewing these,” she said, her voice soft as she slipped the herbs into his mouth one by one. She reserved the goldenrod for the worst of his injuries. Using utmost care, she chewed the small spring, making a mass of green, gold, and cellulose. After chewing for approximately a minute, she removed the cobweb covering with a paw, and spit the golden rod onto the wound. Quickly, before any could dribble down, she reapplied the cobwebs and stepped back, “I’m sorry,” she said, “That’s all I can do for you. You better get some rest.” she paused in her speech, “If you can find the strength, perhaps you can come into my den?” she queried, watching him. “I should have asked you first, but,” the female left off with her words, “If you want to come in, please hurry. Before the poppy seed affects you too much.

Sorry this took so long...my muse died D:

"T-thank you...so much... the crushed creature moaned softly, whining softly. As she pushed away the snow collected around his body, Ithiral shut his eyes and began to let his thoughts flow through his head, the pain beginning to dull, mostly because the blood had drained from the immediate areas. How could this have happened to him? Was this going to be his death bed, before some stranger, bleeding over the snow? That bastard Teraku....he would pay, even if Ithiral had to return from the grave to do it.

As the images of the possible ways to obliderate Teraku screamed through his head, Ithiral hardly noticed the wolfess, tirelessly trying to save his hide. It wasn't until he felt a warm bunch of chewed herbs press against his wounds, sending a sharp pain through his body. "Rrrrr...that stings...." he muttered through clenched teeth, not having enough energy to actually move. As he said this, he only then noticed taht the wolfess had placed something in his maw. Had he really been that out of it that he didn't realize she put something in there?

"O-okay...thank you... he murmered, smiling ever so softly to Ifara. Softly chewing, he wondered what exactly it was this stuff was supposed to do. Swallowing the stuff, he thought about her words. No...you've done alot for me...thank you..." he said softly in response to her. No wolf had ever given him this much attention before...well, positive attention. It felt strangly comforting. Opening his eye's, he looked up to the wolfess, finally being able to see clearly. The pain had died down quite substancially after the weird mush she had placed on his wounds, and he could see her features clearly now. Simply put, she was one of the most elegant and beautiful wolfves he had ever put eyes on.

"I'll try..and go in the den..." he said softly, limping over to the enterance. Once there, however, he stopped, and laid down. It was abit too small for him to head down without some helpful pushing from Ifara, and he wasn't all that willing to do that, even as the cold winter weather chilled him to the bone. He'd rather freeze that endure both the uncomfortable squeeze, as well as the embarissment...not after the Anae incedent.
