Some beauties to choose from, it may have been a barren spell in the early part of the month but it ended with a bang!

Droylsden (Home) - 3/10/2009 Worcester City (Away) - 12/10/2009 Blyth Spartans (Home) - 27/10/2009 Workington (Home) - 31/10/2009 The runaway leader for September was Phil Trainer's goal versus Harrogate, whilst Liam Blakeman's goal at Stalybridge leads the way for August. Liam has also staked an early claim for November with a great strike at Solihull last night, let's hope he gets plenty of competition as we hit the target with abandon throughout November, starting on Saturday versus Lincoln City. -------------------- "They beat their chests and whooped like savages"...

Well if it wins the October vote on here it'll be one of the choices for the 'Goal of the Season' vote that will follow in June (I'm assuming of course that our season will extend into May!). Not sure if there is an 'official' club competition, I did suggest when I kicked this off that maybe it could become a 'proper' award, maybe even with a trophy? Would be nice to get it recognised officially, as it were... -------------------- "They beat their chests and whooped like savages"...

There doesn't look to have been such a one-sided vote since the Iranian elections!
Mind you, what a strike Browny's was, at the time I thought Torpey's thunderbolt against Droylsden was a definite contender, not just for the month but the whole season, but he's blown his chance to lay his hands on the inaugural BC Goal of the Season trophy by joining the Cod! -------------------- "They beat their chests and whooped like savages"...
