apparently the part of wolverhampton that i live in has really really bad service for virgin media but my laptop still the same amount of time since in the instillation, maybe it could be a connection problem with the signal in the area, what i would do is don't change your service me mom did that last year with bt and they offered the same performance and price but 3 months later it was about 15% more than previously agreed.

Perhaps linked to it being half-term, with more youngsters on line? My Virgin service always slows from 4.00pm anyway.

If you've got the Virgin media security suite this might be related to something I've noticed of late, which is a process called 'Security Services Communicator' or something similar, and which I found to be running in the background when I was logged on.
A Ctrl+Alt+Delete will bring up the Task Manager and look for it running under 'Applications'. I terminated this and the speed improved, but I'm not entirely sure that terminating it is the right thing to do. Did search for some advice on other forums but no-one really seemed to know the answer, perhaps calling VM & asking what it is might be an idea? -------------------- "They beat their chests and whooped like savages"...

Same problem here, the speeds have been appalling this week - I can barely even stream song previews on iTunes, it's that slow! Download speeds have been very poor as well, so not impressed. -------------------- "I like the idea of a professional troll, though.
