Well its rain most of the night, as well as the last few days forecast is for more of the same over the next 3 days, although today is heavy rain the following 2 are for light showers having been downgraded, lets hope the pitch holds up.

As the club have had plenty of notice I would have thought they would be taking the appropriate precautions.

Out of interest, if it was postponed (and I really do not expect it to be), would the game be played on Tuesday 10th Nov or Tuesday 17th Nov?

Tuesday 17th is the designated date for the replay so I'd imagine then. However it's worth noting that we've had only two postponements due to rain in the last five and a half seasons so I wouldn't be too concerned about the showers forecast.

Hopefully both our tie and Shrewsbury's will be decided on Saturday then we can look forward to meeting them on 17th in the SSC biggrin.gif

Er it will only go to Lincoln if the game is played and ends in a draw not if its called off due to the weather, they would still have to come here.

Please say if this is a stupid question.

But if we know there is going to be heavy rain cant we just put out covers to stop the majority of the pitch getting drenched?

Seems sensible enough to me but I don't know if we have covers or not.

Covers that size are massively expensive, and it doesn't really work unless you can pump the water off the top of the covers? It all has to go somewhere...

The drainage on the pitch is much improved these days anyway, it'll be fine.
