I mentioned this on the WWI board, but, being the huge "Weird Al" mark I am, I need to spread the word anywhere I can.

"Weird Al" Yankovic, that master of musical comedy, has a new album, his twelvth, set for release on Sept. 26. As with his other recent albums, news on the album has been piecemeal; a bit here and a bit there. No word on what parodies are going to be included, or what songs he's polkafied for the expected polka medley, but I intend to pass any info along as soon as I find out.

Also, Al's Saturday morning children's show from the late 90's, "The Weird Al Show" is coming to DVD in just two weeks.

And, you can still download Al's James Blunt parody, "You're Pitiful," from "Weird Al"s website. This song won't be part of the new album, and I don't know how much longer it will be available for download, so download now!

Here's a bit of an update.

No word yet on what's going to be on the new CD, but at www.weirdal.com you can download a wallpaper of what I believe is the cover art of "Straight Outta Lynwood." You have your choice of seven sizes, but I don't think this'll be on for too long.

So what are you waiting for?! GO! NOW! GO! GO! GO!

I think it's funny that you refer to yourself as a mark when that's your name.

Another thing I think is hilarious... I finally tried to get caught up with the rest of the world and bought WWE: Day of Reckoning 2 for Game Cube the other day, and while I was making my MC character in create a wrestler, I saw that my name(Nick) was listed among the "Call Names". So I'm previewing my entrance(which the only one that really fit my character was John Cena's) and hearing Tony Chimel say:

"Making his way to the ring.... From Iowa.... Weighing in at 326 lbs.... NICK!"

It just ends like that... "NICK!" Just sounds humorous, but at the same time really anti-climatic. And being that there just wasn't any other names on the Call Name list that fit, I just decided to go without one. The used to have better ones on the older games. Oh well. C'est la Vie.
